Cutting the cake with a real samurai sword might have been the icing on the cake, of course only after defeating the Jedi master in a light saber battle in the dark! Top notch!! Attended a free roll day. First match up was a purple belt, second match up was a blue belt. Had to take a rest cause I hadn't done this in a while and each roll was 5 minutes. After a break, a brown belt approached me and asked if I had anyone to roll with, nope, I replied. K, come on he said. We spoke for a bit, he asked my experience, then proceeded to hit, shove and grind hard, the crown of his forehead into mine while attempting to man handle me. He then pushed me back into the dividing wall that separates the mat from the entrance. I had to turn to stop him from continuously pushing me everywhere violently. The tops of my toes then touched the top of my foot and I heard a pop. This was on 11 February, it's now the 26th when I'm writing this and I still can't walk fully. He broke the second digit of two of my toes. Higher belts are meant to instruct and not have ego injected into it. This was 100% unacceptable from a higher belt.

My daughter is very high functioning autistic, and Master Olsen connects with her. He senses when she is struggling and helps her out. He checks in with us on her. He makes up lessons for her if we are on vacation or if she was out sick. He has great command of the class. These kids are truly learning self discipline, respect, and self control because Master Olsen demands it in a way that is kind and fun. The rest of the staff is also incredible. Everyone is supportive, respectful, hard working. I can't imagine, aside from family, better role models for my child. When the kids test, instructors from other Villari's locations come in and lead the test, and they are all like Master Olsen. I believe it is the culture among the centers to act and behave a certain way, and they are the most professional people. I highly recommend this program for all kids!

Everyone from beginner to the very experienced at this place is very helpful and very friendly. They understand being new is hard and they help in any way they can. I did take a few one on one lessons and then jumped into classes. It's a blast but far from easy. Expect to be a little sore and achy as you will use muscles you had no idea you had. Flexibility is important so plan on getting there a little early to stretch out before class. I've had ACL replacement, hand reconstruction from a severe shattering, and have a hip replacement and I'm 47 years old. If I can get out there and flop around anyone can.

They make for a welcoming, challenging, and empowering environment for students of all ages. My young daughter and I have also taken classes at three other schools in the Hwang family and would rate them equally. The schools are run by Grandmaster Hwang and his sons, who are also ranked as masters. The head instructors are higher ranked black belts too, some of whom have competed at the collegiate and national levels, so you know that you are learning in true WTF and Kukiwon programs.

It is kept very clean, and they take a lot of pride in keeping the equipment in good shape. Even as a flabby senior, I feel so comfortable there; there is no competition with other members. People are very friendly, and I've had nice conversations with other members. The trainers are wonderful and very knowledgeable. After two months, I feel like a million bucks. No matter what level of fitness you have, there is something there for you, from basic low-level Curves equipment (in its own room) to the high-caliber super-fit stuff. It's a very positive place.
