I do not recommend doing business with this local business. My experience with placing a custom…read moreorder with this business was a terrible experience. The following is a list of the "red flags "I should have observed at time of order placement. 1. On the original visit to the frame store the owner "verbally" quoted me a turnaround time of "2 maybe 3 weeks but most realistically closer to 3 weeks which I now realize no "real "contract commitment to a completion date. 2. The owner allowed me to leave his shop @ order placement only with a downpayment receipt a in hand. 3. The owner never provided me a copy of the contract/ purchase agreement documenting the mat, glass and frame materials to be used on the project along with his estimated TAT Time. 14 days later, upon realizing the purchase agreement gaps noted above I phoned the owner of the shop requesting an updated status report on my order. 1 day later the owner returned my call aggressively communicating to me he taking immediate action to cancel my order with his shop. The reasons cited for cancellation was I was bullying the owner in order to gain order preference. He ended his phone call by hanging up on me. In reviewing reviews posted on Yelp there was one other similar complaint to mine. Customer Service: A recent review warns of poor communication and order follow-through, resulting in an abruptly canceled client relationship.

This is the kind of place where, once you are lucky enough to discover it, you immediately email…read moreyour family & friends to tell them about it. Because you now have a framing place! Totally exceeded my expectations. Wow. Andy knows what he's doing, and helped me pick out the best frame and mat for a beloved print. (And, he nailed the combo on the first try. I asked to look at some other options and it was clear that they weren't right.) He answered all my questions and helped me understand the options. I learned a lot! I guess that's what they call customer service. Who knew??! The only other comparison I have for framing is a large craft store where I've had a few things framed, and they weren't nearly as helpful or knowledgeable - and they cost more. I was determined to not go back to the craft store for this job, and somehow lucked out and found Art and Frame World in my own backyard! So, now I (and my family and friends) have a framing place!

Andy is amazing!! I should have written this review when I got 3 wine map posters framed last…read moreyear, but now I have to write a review because of the continued customer service Andy provided. A year ago, he was very helpful in selecting the frame, timeline was reasonable, and price was fantastic. I was expecting to pay a lot more than I did! Fast forward a year and Andy continued his wonderful customer service. The 3 framed pictures were placed on a wall in our basement. It turns out the humidity was not great down there so the prints started to ripple under the glass. I took them to Andy to see if he could fix them. I was ready to pay to have them fixed since it was my fault, but he insisted that I wouldn't be paying anything. He said, "This is what we do." Andy's team took the frames apart and tried flatting them. Unfortunately, they are too rippled, but I appreciate Andy's willingness to help me try to fix them. Big lessons learned: 1) watch the humidity level in your basement if you have framed prints and 2) ANDY ROCKS!! I two thumbs up. I highly recommend Andy and his shop. Lots of selection, great prices, fantastic service. He is in fact MN nice!!!

I dropped off a vintage chalk painting 3 weeks ago to have it re-framed, telling the gentleman I…read morewanted the most professional job done on it. He said it would be about 10 days, and I said "no rush - just take your time and do a good job." So yesterday it occurred to me that hmm, I wonder how my frame is doing? So I called and left a message. And today, with no call back, I called again, and they said it's done - and that they normally call when something is ready. Fine, so I head over. When I pick it up they say not to move it around, because the chalk is delicate, and it wasn't sprayed. And I look and see chalk dust all on the inside of the frame. So I ask, "Should it have been sprayed?" And she said, "Well, a lot of artists don't like them sprayed because it changes the color." And I said "Well I suppose it's too late to spray it because now it's framed." And she said, "Well, he (the framer) probably didn't know." And I said it would have been nice to be consulted on this option before or during the framing process. And she was completely indifferent about it. I frankly told her what a bad experience this was, and she said "All I can do is apologize for that." I would expect to be guided through a process of framing fine art, or chalk, or whatever it is. And hearing all the options necessary to protect and display a piece of art, that I can enjoy for years to come. Now when I look at it, I'll likely shake my head in disgust.

No discount was offered or applied. 2) Heads-up: Employees and family members are pressured into posting positive reviews because regular customers DO NOT.
