All wonderful things about this school! My daughter has been attending this karate school for about a year now. We started out as a trial to make sure she liked it; She ended up loving it! With no pressure to sign up, Carol made it very easy and explained how everything works thoroughly. Any time that we weren't able to make it to a class we were happily welcomed to come a few extra times during the week to catch up. Family owned and operated which I think makes it even better. You walk in and feel welcomed and comfortable. All of the instructors have a passion for what they do and they bring out the best in the kids. It's not always about self defense either. Master Curry and his team are very big on teaching them manners and self respect. They always have a lot of great offers when it comes to signing up another sibling or family member. For the past year our daughter and us respectively, have been apart of this amazing experience and opportunity that is felt the moment you walk into this Dojo. The whole Curry family is amazing at what they do, and do not forsake anyone walking through the door, seeking to be apart of that ever growing family. Our daughter has become a such an unexplainable power unto herself at such a young age. It's intense, it's hard, it's fair but most of all it's rewarding! The style of martial art studied and lived here is second to none when it comes to real world situations of self defense. My children attend this school and they run to the car every time they have a class.  They are eager to see the instructors and the friends they have made while attending classes.  In addition to the curriculum Grand Master Curry recently started an incentive program for children to do extra reading and those that did were given very nice medals in front of their peers.  The promise of receiving that medal had my children eager to read.   (Imagine they wanted to be involved in a program that required reading)  GM Curry will be taking the reading program a step further and rewarding children that clean their rooms, eat right and do good deeds etc.   Perhaps a month's enrollment wasn't enough to make an accurate assessment of the school, its teachers and staff and all it offers to children and parents alike. read more

Without a doubt the best decision made having enrolled my son at Master Curry Karate!!! My sons teacher noticed how he was struggling with a bully in school and a difficult time focusing in class. She had her own son enrolled for 15 years and spoke very highly of the karate school. On her recommendation I enrolled my son. With that said he has shown significant academic improvement. Having a child with a learning delay can be a challenge. In just a short time my sons grades have improved by 10-15 points in all subject matters. He strives to excel in all subjects matters... a drive he did not have before enrolling in Master Curry Karate. My 4 children have been students for over 6 years; my youngest was 3 when she started. She has learned to defend herself and stand up to bullies for others. Her training in martial arts has excelled her at cheerleading and tumbling. My middle 2 (sons) 12 and 11 yrs old love the sparring the most, one likes the karate the other prefers the jujutsu in competitions. My oldest 14yr old, lives for cheerleading (3 teams), although its a tough schedule she also trains at MKC. The life lessons they are taught gives me the confidence that they will make the right choices when on their own (at school, mall with friends, movies, on line at an amusement park). Have been going with my kids for over 7 years, Excellent structure, discipline, instruction, exposure to other Masters, continual evolution with new and emerging techniques. Master Curry takes the time to know each of his students and focus their studies while enhancing their overall growth. My children are always excited to attend class.  They enjoy seeing their teachers and the friends they have made.    The school is family run and everyone knows your name.  After every class the children run to the front of the room to get a cookie or treat that is left for them.  The Parents are not forgotten and are always offered coffee while they wait for the children to complete the class.  I will and have recommended this school to friends and family as I trust the students there are getting top notch training in Martial Arts as well as valuable life lessons read more

I don't recommend this Karate School for your children, I was taking my dauhter their for A Month, the lady (wife of the karate teacher) tries to force you to sign A contract right from the start. She doesn't give you time to review the contract, so I signed it. After A Month my daughter hurt her foot & couldn't come to the class, the Owner threatened me with a Law Suit if I didn't pay for the whole contract. The truth is you shouldn't sign A CONTRACT for children! I take my daughter to Amerkick now & THEY ALLOWED ME TO TAKE THE CONTRACT HOME TO REVIEW. read more

Hands down the absolute BEST karate school there is! Both of my kids attend and there is no place else on the island that can compare.
