(I waited double the time I was told they would reach out) 7/16- talked to Ellie, who scheduled a call for 7/24. 7/24- repair man showed up on time to do repair however since he's not certified to make this repair he called to get someone else to do it. 8/4 I tried to call to get confirmation of today's call all 3 numbers I had went to VM. As neither my husband or I got anything from their side. After leaving first review I called them again and they were not happy with my review because it told this whole story from 6/19 onwards which included Lazy boy of Myrtle Beach and their part of this story. And while she tried to commend the first techs good sense not to make a repair he was not knowledgeable about, the issue was lost on her that as a company you should know what your employees can do before you send them to a customers home to make a repair in the first place. Concidering you know what you're coming to repair, you know what part it is, and photos were sent of damage. As a company that's when apologizes need to be made not justifications for bad actions. And while after today's visits star rating may improve the narrative is what it is, because this is what's happened. Yes, it was great that he didn't attempt the repair, but you shouldn't have sent him to begin with.

Stopped by Port City on a mission for my wife...She had a favorite canvas beach bag that had a rope…read morehandle that had dislodged. The bag itself was something that in total, could be replaced at literally a $20 cost but as bags of every sort have some kind of magical power over their female owners, this bag could NOT be thrown away, so, enter Brian at Port City...He broke away from "real" upholstery jobs to fix this obviously very, very, very serious beach bag situation and his charge you ask...NOTHING. For those of us that even after 30yrs of marriage can't understand the connection between females and bags of any sort, Brian's customer service OR need to have a comedic break, served me well...He got a customer for life and I got to dress out as a super hero equal to that caped wonder Mr. Clutch (type of hand bag for you younger men who one day WILL be versed in all things bags if you intend on procreating with a female). In all seriousness, post this visit I checked around. Brian is known for being a consumate professional, doing outstanding work and most importantly, IMHO, he presents as a humble yet confident human with a service mentality lacking so much in the world today. Thanks brother.

After several weeks and numerous unreturned calls I was finally given an appointment to get my…read moreJaguar in for a repair of the convertible top. I dropped it off on a Thursday and was given a Monday completion date. Monday came no phone calls and more unreturned messages. Thursday came and I decided to check on my $108,000 Jaguar in person. Elaine was not there and the person at the desk had no information, but told me to call in a half hour and she may be back. I asked to see my car that was supposed to be in their shop and was told customers are not allowed in the shop. Walked around the building and found my car sitting at the back of a dirt junk yard like area. It had a tarp over the top with metal gromets and hooks scratching the paint. The car was not locked in the unsecured lot. They had not even started on the car. I got the key from them and drove it home. Washed the filthy car and started to buff out the scratches. There is more to the story that is worse than what I have already disclosed, but for now I will leave it at that. Use Upholstery 1 at your own risk, you have been warned.
