I was at this location from the end of March 2024 until July 08. By July I wasn't where I needed…read moreto be due to the trauma my body experience months before a surgery. But this Facility apparently was done with me. I understand going down to one day a week sessions, but what I couldn't understand was, why the deceit or run around. On July 05 at the end of my session I asked the receptionist if we could schedule my next round of appointments. She informed me my therapist wanted to discuss with me going down to one day (he was unexpectedly off after the Holiday) on Monday so she wanted to wait until I talked to him. So after my session on Monday I went up to her desk again and asked to schedule more appointments; this day she told me she couldn't schedule (apparently from Fri. - Mon. her story changed), anymore appointments as I needed to get approved first. I asked her. Approved from Who ? My therapist had mentioned the potential of Medicare being an issue. I informed I have TWO insurances and Medicare is Not my Primary, (in which they have this info.) they basically have nothing to do with this. So she says, hold on let me go check and she walked into the back, returning to tell me to call in 3-4 days to see if an approval came in. Again I asked approval from Who? (I know my 2 insurances were still covering this) She proceeded to say I had to wait for the Manager and due to the Holiday (4th of July), she is running behind so give her a few days. Really, this is how they operate? Knowing my insurance was still paying (& I even called them both to verify what I already knew), I called to schedule more appointments the next day. This particular women scheduled Two sessions for me and informed she was allowed to only schedule Two. (This was the very next day After the in house receptionist didn't want to be bothered scheduling the two allowed.) Then I was assured someone would call me to make the next set of appointments as soon as I was approved for more. She couldn't tell me either WHO exactly this so called approval was coming from. So I waited and waited, no one called. Plus the 2 I did get scheduled were 2.5 to 3 weeks away. Why does an established patient need to wait almost 3 weeks to get more sessions started? As I never heard back from anyone, I went elsewhere. But on July 22nd I received a phone call from Northwestern asking if I could take an appointment time available That day due to a cancelation. I informed I never had received a call to schedule more sessions and she informs me that they Are Indeed scheduled. I asked How? She then tells me her co-worker scheduled them for me. I asked, without talking to me? She sounded embarrassed and could only say her co worker must have thought she'd discuss it with me when I came in. I'd like to know if I couldn't do any of those days was I going to have to wait another 3 weeks to get in? So apparently it's the management who decides who's worthy of their time, they can push aside existing patients to allow room for New patients, so beware. Actually there is no really concern or care for their patients. I tried to send a letter to upper management but was only able to find a Patient Relations department for the hospital. I explained to her I did not want to discuss this with the local Bloomingdale office as they were the cause. She said she'd pass my name onto the next in charge. I never heard back, I sent a note telling the Patient Relations person that I didn't want to leave a bad review because I didn't want it to reflect poorly on my two therapists. Still I never heard from anyone. Now looking back at that environment I can truly say if you have a major issue this is not the best place to go. It's a large facility set up badly, i wanted to discuss the safety issues but no one wanted to call me and there were the bike that was positioned too close to it. Another time I had to use the Pullies directly after someone stopped using them (only one set !) Same thing with the armbike: None of the equipment is wiped off after use. No disenfective wipes are available in the therapy rooms for the Patient to wipe down. I saw a lot of Elderly people here, covid may not be raging but germs always exist. This facility has no weight bars for use and about daily I was given a Cane to use that surely was never wiped off from me or the last person who used it before me. My therapist attached a weight to the cane in which the velcro on the ends was worn down and it dangled over my face. When is it just going to fall apart onto someone's face? That's not all about the safety issues I spotted there but I'll just say I looked down when I walked I'm obviously highly disappointed in Northwestern but I think now they did me a favor because I'm in a much better place.

Excellent service. Great personnel and the best doctors working here. They are so professional I…read morehave no problems at all. I have my new insurance I did not know that I had Hmo so I need referrals for everything. So I dropped in with out an appointment asked the secretary if she can ask my Dixie to give me a referral to cover my eye visit earlier. No problem all I need to do is wait for a phone call and my doctor will fax it how awesome is that. I love this clinic

There is no way that I could say enough good things about this place, but I'll give it a try…read more Back story: I hurt my neck and went here because one of my co-workers told me that the Chiropractor (Allan Kirchner-Gomez) will evaluate an injury / spine for free. I thought what have I got to lose, and went in for the evaluation. The staff there took a full spinal x-ray, and the chiropractor did some other tests, and I left feeling like he had really taken the time to understand how I hurt my neck. When I went in for my follow up (called a "report of findings") session the chiropractor took his time explaining what he believed was wrong with my neck, and what he could do to fix it. In addition to that his staff had all ready contacted my health insurance provider and figured out exactly how much the course of treatment would cost me, and they made sure that I knew this before I agreed to treatment. In short -- I really felt like they wanted to make sure that I knew how much their service would cost me, and how it could help me before they took any money from me. AT NO POINT DID I FEEL PRESSURED INTO ANY KIND OF TREATMENT! throughout the course of my treatment my treatment I found out that this chiropractor has taken the time to create very good relationships with other medical facilities, and that his patients benefit from these relationships. EXAMPLE #1 -- I got an MRI from American MRI. My health insurance paid for 80% of this. EXAMPLE #2 -- The radiologist who read the MRI also did not bill me for the remainder after my health insurance provider covered his fee. EXAMPLE #3 -- I also had something called a nerve test done, which was read by a neurologist. Again he did not bill me the remainder after my health insurance had paid 80% of the cost. In all three of the examples above I saved a great deal of money because Dr. Gomez has built good relationships with these other medical professionals. I believe they don't bill patients Dr. Gomez sends their way, because he runs a very busy / successful clinic and sends so much business their way via referrals. IN THE END -- I went to this place very skeptical, but because of the level of care that I was provided, and because Dr. Gomez and his staff went so far above and beyond to take care of my problems I would recommend him to anyone. If your having back or neck problems give this place a chance to patch you up.

I had a Groupon for a massage here. This review is strictly for the massage only…read more I get massages often as I have a lot of muscle pain. Usually, when I go to get a massage at a Chiropractor office, they are amazing. The techs know the muscles and how they work and I always leave feeling so much better. This was not the case here with JR and I am curious to know if he's licensed? This was a very unprofessional massage. Note, he was a nice man, but his lack of knowledge in massage was evident. To start off, there was no cover on the face piece where you lay your head into. Your skin goes directly on to the leather material. After a while, my skin started to pull and become uncomfortable. When I was done, I had a red scratch mark left on my cheek. There was no rhythm to his massage. It was very random. He would sometimes do one side and forget the other side. He did absolutely no muscle work at all. None. All he does is rub the surface of your skin. Which leads to another issue. He doesn't use enough oil and he repeats movements on the same area so many times (I started to count, it could be more than 20 times in the same spot). So the oil starts to dissolve and he's rubbing your skin raw. It was actually painful. For the next 24 hours, my whole back felt like it was on fire. He also would do random pushing down, leaning into your body with pressure. I have had this done before, but the areas he did this on would cause my lower back to hurt. He wasn't doing it correctly. There were multiple times where I almost asked him to stop. But I'm too shy and stayed the entire hour. I even tipped him for his time. But when I left, my neck hurt, my lower back hurt, my skin was on fire and my face has a scratch on it. I am good to go as far as saying he is not trained professionally. What makes things worse is I tried reaching out to the office by email, explaining the situation. But here we are, days later with no response. I did some research afterwards and see that others have complained about the same person and experience. Why this office will not hold him responsible or fix the situation is beyond me. It's really too bad. The office otherwise seems like they have some great things available. But if you are not interested in making it right with your customer and don't fix the issue with your one massage therapist, it leads me to believe you are not the right place to go to. I decided to post solely to warn people not to get a massage there. I would be concerned that someone older or with back issues may leave injured.
