This physical therapy place is above and beyond the rest, this team of physical therapists do their best to get you healed up quickly so can get on with your life! I slipped on the kitchen floor while washing it. There was nothing to hold onto and I did the splits and I pulled my muscle severely in my right thigh. Dr. Cavazos and Dr. Brandon were both very helpful as I was healing My physical therapist was Tom he took good care of me. He was both professional and sociable at the same time. Oxana also health aide in my recovery. She gave a great massage also. I would recommend trying this facility for your physical therapy needs or just an adjustment. They care about the patient. REVIEW in English and Spanish ! (En Español y Ingles) Honestly, i read all the reviews and went here and it was good for the first time. Then during the second time I went they were rude and didn't do the job correctly. Im very nice and understanding throughout the visit but then I made a comment to the worker that they went too soft and I wanted them to massage a bit more firmer since that's were the pain resides. I went to go pay with my husband and then the owner came out while I was in front and yelled at me in front of the costumers saying I was an "ungrateful" and "pretentious" person, simply for asking if they could go a bit firmer (not noting the fact I payed $300 for the massage that I was softly receiving). In general they were very rude and not only to me but with their own staff the two white owers were rude to the workers who didn't speak a lot of English and spoke harsh to them for the fact that they didn't know a lot of English. It made the environment very uncomfortable and I felt horrible and honestly wanted to cry due to this situation. I wanted to like this place but after this experience I wont be going anymore, and I want to warn others about this situation. One day when I was driving I see this house on the right hand side of North Ave in Glendale Heights and I asked myself wow lots of cars in front of this house ..... must be a party. Took a deeper look and found it was a Chiropractic practice and sports therapy. I play hockey a lot and was like well if I ever got injured I would go there since it's so close. About 3 weeks later I hurt my knee. Pain was pretty severe and rushed over to Dr Cavazos. Dr Cavazos took x-rays right away and I had a small tear in my meniscus. This did not require surgery just therapy. I went for a couple of months and soon after I felt like new. I am now going for my back which I tweaked a little bit just recently and I have to say they are geniuses on what they do. The Staff is amazing! Great people skills and they really care about their patients. Normally you go into a doctors office and they give you this boring speech on what you need to do. Here they explain every little detail to you and prevent future injuries from happening. I can name a lot of names there that assisted on making my experience amazing. Dr. Allen and Dr. Dan were amazing. Dr. Cavazos is an arrogant man who rushes you out of his office while trying to make you buy fish oils and a lumbar pillow. Treatment is like 3/5 stars. Staff is like 1/ 5 stars. First session: Dr. Cavazos was poking inside my belly button instead of asking me to step back for the x-ray. Took like 1 minute. Had Dr. Dan take care of me but kept correcting him constantly which is a bit questionable. Worst of all Dr. Cazavos yanked me off the table when I was slowly trying to get off the table since I was in so much pain. As I was crying he had me sit against a lumbar pillow which he already convinced my husband to buy. As I was crying he was trying to sell me fish oil supplements for $25. My husband was learning how to get me off the massage table properly from Dr. Dan during this. Was not sure if I should keep coming but you know he already convinced my husband to pay for 10 sessions for $300. As for the fish oil I kept telling him no thanks I just want to go home since I'm actually crying with visible tears due to the pain of being yanked off the massage table. After that Dr. Cavaros had put in the care of students who kept talking to each other in polish rather than doing their jobs. Luckily I was taken care of by Dr. Allen from time to time which helped me get better as I kept going coming in for my sessiojs. Besides Dr. Dan and Dr. Allen the rest of the staff doesn't wear their masks or just let it rest on their chins. TDLR horrible man runs the place. Some staff are great others are not. Covid protocols are a joke here. Come here for the treatment but don't expect good customer service or humane interactions. read more

For the past three weeks my brother and I have been switching off staying with my mom due to what we were told and thought was a herniated disc. We have seen our mom cry due to the pain. We have taken her to 1 ER visit, 2 visits to her primary doctor and one visit to a "spine specialist". My mom kept explaining to all the doctors her symptoms and they kept giving her pain killers and sending her home telling her to come back in 2 weeks. She was even given medical leave from work. 3 weeks pass and my mom was still walking with a walker, just for her doctor to give her more pain killers and tell her come back in 3 weeks. I got fed up of these doctors. Last week she received a mailing with an advertisement for Dr David Cavazos. I looked him up on Yelp and noticed he had great reviews and was only a 20 minute drive from her home. I gave him a call and he was able to see her the same day. He insisted to take some x-rays which we did not really want to do, but boy are we glad we listened as allowed the x-rays. He promised me that my mom will be better before she leaves is office that day. He kept his promise. He was able to find out that for 3 weeks doctors have been giving my mom pain killers for a wrong diagnosis. She has a hip issue and there is nothing wrong with her spine. One hour in his office and my mom was able to walk without the help of a walker. While she is not 100% better, he was able to do in one hour what other doctors were not able to do in 3 weeks. We automatically bought a 10 session package with him. Since she is feeling this much better after 1 session, I am sure she will be more herself after each session! We highly recommend seeing Dr David for any of his many services he offers. Even if he is quite a drive to get to him, he is well worth it! read more

I am just SO grateful for Dr. Cavazos and his team. I came into town to visit some family, and managed to really mess up my back while hauling my luggage around over the weekend. Thought I was going to have to suffer until Monday, but blessedly found a chiropractor that was open. I called Dr. Cavazos, and he told me to come right in. Even though I was a new patient from out of town, he made sure there was a spot for me. Came in, got x-rays, went over my symptoms, and was on a table in less than 15 minutes getting a massage I desperately needed. After that, Dr. Cavazos personally adjusted me, and even stayed after hours so he had plenty of time to explain my pain and tell me how we were going to get me back on track. He also knew a special ear adjustment that helped alleviate the vertigo I've been experiencing the last week, and hooked me up with some great supplements AND a new neck pillow. I had a great first visit. Upon entering I was greeted promptly and the staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It is a very different atmosphere than your typical doctors office but clean and a beautiful treatment room/outdoor view. I was given an explanation of my insurance coverage up front which was important. My X-ray results were reviewed thoroughly and any questions I had were answered. Upon leaving my back was sore however the equipment or treatments used appeared to be top of the line and provided deep tissue treatment. I Never had any back pain until about 3 months ago. I woke up with terrible shooting/stinging pain on my left side starting at my spine behind my neck. After a few days, it branched out to my shoulder. After a few weeks or trying to live through the pain, it had stretched from my spine, to my shoulder, all the way down my left arm into my forearm. Standing up straight was a pain, and sitting down only made it hurt more. As a driver, sitting for 80% of my work day, it was needless to say....i became very concerned. A few more miserable weeks later, I knew it was time to seek professional help. After making an appointment, i walked into Dr. Cavazos' Office with a PAIN LEVEL OF 10!!!! If there was a 15 on the scale, i would have said 15. Dr. Cavazos and his staff were more than welcoming when I walked in. The woman I spoke with initially listened, intently, to all of my ramblings of pain and suffering and sorrow and how I didn't think I'd ever get back to normal, etc... She seemed genuinely concerned for me! I figured she must hear this all the time and would just kind of roll her eyes and get the doctor. Being in the amount of pain I was in, it meant a lot to me to have a sympathetic ear listening. Finally I met Dr. Cavazos. After a few xrays, he explained what was going on and assured me, "We're gonna get you better, Nick." By the end of our conversation I felt like I was talking to my uncle....or distant relative i didn't know about that just happened to be a professional chiropractor By the end of my very first session that day, my pain level dropped to an 8. Which is saying a lot...! I just finished my 10th session today, and can honestly say, my pain is GONE!!!! These are smart and honest people that know what they're doing and I'm living proof! I will recommend him to anyone I know who is needing a chiropractor. Also, if he recommends the pillow? Get the pillow. It helps. It helped me. It continues to help me. The office is an well oiled machine. They have massage therapists and well as chiropractors on staff so you can get all your pain needs taken care of. I've been having some upper back pain recently and decided to use my Groupon along with the $20 upgrade. I had a massage from Jessica and got some adjustments from Dr. Cavazos along with acupuncture. Very unprofessional from the moment I walked in until the moment I left. I came for acupuncture and the doctor didn't seem like he knew what he was doing. I've received acupuncture treatments for years for my chronic carpal tunnel by a few different licensed acupuncturist that have helped me immensely which is why I believe in acupuncture and needed to receive treatment on this occasion. I recently moved to the area and was looking for a new acupuncturist. Upon arrival there seemed to be some confusion about my appointment and who was going to work on me. The receptionist girl made an unprofessional comment about my appearance to which I wasn't sure how to respond. Then without any introductions, who I am assuming was David himself decided he would do my treatment. Normally when receiving acupuncture you are in a private room where you lay down on a doctor's bed horizontally because the procedure is one that you need to be relaxed and comfortable for. Not here. I was sat down in a chair in an open room with the other two employees and a TV blaring right next to me. Without hardly any consultation the doctor began sticking needles in my lower hand areas and my elbow because I had briefly mentioned that I have carpal tunnel and tendonitis in my elbow. He didn't ask where I was feeling pain and I had to ask for more needles because it didn't really seem like he was putting them around the affected areas. As he was doing this he begin to try and tell me some kind of long-winded information on acupuncture as if to prove his knowledge to me which is very unprofessional especially in the setting of acupuncture where it should be very relaxing there shouldn be minimal talking so that you can focus on energy and healing. Meanwhile the receptionist girl is trying to talk to me and ask how I'm feeling which again is very unprofessional, she shouldn't even be in the room. The needles are in and the doctor has me sit for 10 to 15 minutes or so and meanwhile I have to witness more unprofessional banter between receptionist girl and the other employee while I have needles in my body trying to receive my treatment. She then asks again how's it feels to which I am not sure how to answer because I'm not used to this sort of environment while I'm having treatment.. like what do you mean how does it feel? Dont talk to me, i have needles in me I'm trying to heal right now why are you asking me questions? She then says I should smile.. don't tell me what to do please, I am here because I have pain, and I am not happy with your unprofessional office and shotty treatment. I couldn't wait to leave. When I was finished all they cared about was when I'd schedule my next appointment.. hell no I will not be coming back. Maybe they are better at massage. Maybe they are better at chiropractic.. but do not go here for acupuncture. read more

This was the least professional place I've ever been to. They wouldn't even attempt to check our insurance without us signing up for at least 10 treatments and paying up front ($300!!!). Without even a single examination! We asked to speak to the office coordinator and we're told that she goes on 2 hour lunches every day and they don't know when she'll get back. We were also told that she is the doctor's wife/girlfriend and they go out to lunch everyday at this time! (2pm!!) Rather than any concern for the amount of pain my fiance was in, they just wanted money. We were even told we were wasting Dr. Steve's time. These people are either incompetent or scamming us. Awesome place to get deep tissue massages, and anti inflammatory ultrasounds! The acupuncture and chiropractor adjustments was good. Sometimes they felt fast, but they do have many patients coming in and out during the day. Out of the three visits i had, the adjustments averaged like 1 minute, so don't expect like 20 minute adjustments. Staff is friendly and the doctors are experienced. When first walking in, they will want to do testing and it sounded like just more money in their pocket. But it is important for the medical field to see what they are working with. If you have a xray or mri of the affected area, bring that in when first coming in. Wish they informed me on that. Should be relatively recent. Also, they will try to throw in other services to help with treatment, but do understand they do wanna tackle the problems from all sides of the area affected. So, dont be afraid to ask questions. I initially came in for 3 visits of acupuncture, was talked into upgraded to 3 visits of ultrasound, deep tissue, acupuncture, and adjustments. I recommend this place! read more

Stack em and crack em kind of place. Not personal or professional in anyway... I honestly feel it is my duty to stop anyone from going here and possibly being harmed by the unprofessional and uneducated employees. First off, if you've been to any other chiropractor office or physical therapy facility, you'd know immediately upon entering this place, it is bad news. They had tables set up every where, around 10 employees each working on a client on a table all right next to eachother. I should have left when I walked in but I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt because I was in so much pain and they were the only place that could see me immediately. One women came up to me, asked where it hurt and told me to lay down. I said I've never been here before and she said "oh go into this room and fill out these papers". I couldn't believe she was just going to start working on me with no clue who I was or what I was doing there. While filling out paper work, 3 times different people popped in and asked me if I was done yet making me feel rushed (mind you I was only in there for maybe 2 minutes). Still, without asking me what my issue was, they took xrays. Finally the doctor came in wearing sandals, basketball shorts, and a t shirt and without him asking I told him I thought I had herniated a disc and I was in so much pain it hurt to walk stand sit lay down, pretty much anything. He pulls up my X-ray and says yep it's a herniated disc you can see the fluid here. He then had me lay on a table before even evaluated my condition and has a STUDENT start massaging me. He used his fist and went up and down in the same spot for at least 15 minutes. My skin felt raw and every few minutes or so he would accidentally start rubbing over my spine because he was distracted talking to the employee next to him. How can you not tell you are rubbing your fist on someone's spine?? He was then told to work on my upper gluteus medius but he started working on the totally wrong area (I was a massage therapist so I know my anatomy). The doctor had to instruct him on where the upper glutes were. He asked me to flip over eventually which took me awhile because I am in so much pain at this point from laying on my stomach after a fresh injury and the kid says to me "oh are you feeling tired?". I responded with NO I AM IN PAIN. The kid is beginning to set up to adjust me so then I grabbed him and said I can't do this and he said you're fine. So a college student who didn't even know basic anatomy adjust me while I was in an acute phase of an injury. Absolutely unacceptable and irresponsible. The doctor comes over and tells me he is going to have me purchase $300 worth of treatments, a back cushion, and some pills and hands me a stack of advertisements for other businesses. I asked him what about Physical therapy because it said online you do physical therapy (I only saw about 5 kettle bells on the ground against the wall) and he said you're athletic enough you don't need physical therapy. WHAT.... ?? Anyway, I then asked if he had any stretches to recommend and he told me to bring my knee to my forehead which I couldn't do because of pain. He says "that's terrible you are very inflexible" and I snapped at him and said no it's because the pain in my back is so intense I cannot do this!" I was so aggravated at this point because he didn't care why I was there, what I actually needed, or interested in helping me at all. He only wants money and I think that is very obvious. I ended up going back to my previous chiropractor who has always done a great job they just weren't able to see me until the following week and the diagnosis that Dr David gave me was completely inaccurate and rushed. The difference between these 2 places is beyond night and day. Their place of business is an absolute mess. Please think twice before going and maybe do some investigating for a real educated professional facility. read more
