I sit all day for work and my back has been all sorts of messed up. I had actually never heard of Bodyography until my mom got me a gift card for Christmas, she found the center on Yelp. Booking was simple on their website, you just choose your service and it shows you by day which times are available. Enter your info and voila! I chose a 90 minute massage which might sound excessive but I'm so glad I went with the 90 minute and not 30 or 60. Michelle did an amazing job on a full body massage, with extra attention to my aching back. She was very good about checking in with me to make sure that the pressure was ok. And she gave a fantastic food massage with peppermint lemon lotion too! They use coconut oil which is great for the skin. She clearly wants to help improve your health whether it is to reduce daily stress or focus on a problem area. This is real therapy folks. She will spend time understanding your health issues and if you are having problems with a particular area. I would say she is part magician and part healer. I have had problems with my neck and shoulders and also lower back. She clearly knows how to focus in on problem areas. I went in one Saturday and had a lot of back pain and was hunched over - when I left the pain was gone and replaced with a kind of light/warm feeling form the work she did. I was asked to pay via venmo at time of booking which I did immediately and even texted the confirmation of payment to the phone number provided. They told me that the payment was received as I was all set. On the day of the message though, as my mom was leaving the office they stopped her and asked her to pay. She told them that her daughters had already paid, but was treated like a complete criminal. The front desk person just kept yelling at her to pay. She called me and I had to send the front desk person screenshots proving that I had indeed paid. In my payment I had even explicitely included a note on my mom's name and the time and date of the appointment so there should have been absolutely no confusion. The worst thing was that once they were assured that we had paid they were still incredibly rude about it, not even appologizing for the mistake. It was such a bad experience for my mom. I also don't see how they were so "confused" about us having paid, when you can't actually even book an appointment without payment. Now mistakes do happen and this could be a one off bad experience. Except that my sister's husband also got her a message as a gift and she had the same exact issue. As she was walking out they cornered her and kept telling her the message wasn't paid for. Her husband had to call and basically run his whole bank statement by them as proof. So we had two bad experiences here within the span of one week. I think that they use this kind of tactic to confuse customers and get anyone who is maybe too embarassed or not willing to stand there and argue with them to pay twice. The massage is **absolutely not worth** the completely inefficient payment system and the utter lack of customer service and accountability when mistakes are made.
