TL;DR: I had a bad experience here and do NOT recommend this business.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience at MassageLuXe Fishers. My partner and I booked a Valentine's Day couples massage, hoping for a relaxing and enjoyable experience, but unfortunately, it was the opposite.
Upon arrival, we were sat down to fill out waivers. This process took longer than expected, which cut into our massage time. I wish I would have been informed of this prior to my appointment as a first-time guest. To make matters worse, a lady came in and began discussing membership. While I understand there was a deal running for new members, this was not the right time to bring it up. We were already overwhelmed.
As we walked into the massage room, we were not properly greeted or guided through the next steps. The lack of basic professionalism left me in a position where I had to take the initiative to ask questions to ensure everything was in order.
When I clarified that we were supposed to have the hot stone add-on, the therapists exchanged confused glances and excused themselves without offering any explanation. This was concerning and made us feel uneasy. After 10 or so minutes of waiting, the therapists returned and informed us that the hot stone treatment wouldn't be available because the stones hadn't been heated in time for our appointment. This was especially frustrating because I had confirmed these details in advance, and the hot stones were what we were looking forward to the most.
At this point, I felt we should have been offered alternatives, such as rescheduling for a later date or providing another complimentary service. Unfortunately, we were already undressed and laying down and I felt extremely uncomfortable speaking up at that moment. In hindsight, I wish I had canceled right then and there. Instead, we proceeded with the massage, but the situation made me feel awkward and unsettled.
During the massage, one therapist in particular repeatedly pressured us to become members of the spa. My partner is a carpenter, and the same therapist told him that he should come in more often due to his line of work and that he needed to schedule for a longer massage. She also commented saying, "Don't do that to your therapist," implying that his tightness was a disservice to her given the window of time she was given to work on him. We believe the therapist's job is to help relieve such tightness, no matter the cause or amount of time booked. We were there to relax, not be lectured. We are not wealthy, and this was a rare treat for us, so her comments came off insensitive. The focus should have been on our comfort, but instead, it felt more like a poorly delivered sales pitch leaving us in a state of tension we weren't expecting.
Additionally, the therapists mentioned staffing issues - if they couldn't accommodate our requests, this should have been communicated to us in advance. The only solution they offered was to add the hot stone treatment as a free service next time, which was unhelpful since we will not be returning. As a result of the miscommunication and the scrambling to make adjustments, we ended up with a shorter massage but still had to pay for the full hour. This was incredibly frustrating and added to our overall dissatisfaction.
Afterward, I felt the receptionist lacked the authority to resolve my concerns as she had only been working there for two weeks and couldn't address the issue properly. I was told the manager would reach out to me, but weeks later and I still have not heard from anyone, giving the impression that they are either disorganized or simply do not care.
Ultimately, poor communication, lack of professionalism and preparedness, and irritating sales tactics made the experience unpleasant. We came for a special occasion, expecting to feel relaxed and pampered, but instead, we felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. I will not be returning to this location and strongly advise others to consider other options for a more relaxing and professional experience. read more
