I was very pleased with the facial, Holly did an excellent job and gave me a ton of great tips. Pricing was very reasonable and the facility is nice enough. I was just a little bit irritated by how hard the desk staff was pushing a rebook in 3 weeks (who gets facials every 3 weeks?!?) and a membership under the guise of "no pressure" when I clearly stated up front that I was not interested. I generally avoid chains like this because I don't like to feel pressure to join their programs and I was a bit put off by that.

There were leadership changes early this year that I was hoping to push through but unfortunately it's not something I can continue to support. The new owners have implemented a new tipping system that costs the customer more money versus putting more money into the pockets of the service provider. All of my favorite people have left, which is usually a reflection of management. When my service provider is running late, I'm never told in advance. Unfortunately, I have to be on time and if you aren't on time that eats into your service time. Appointment after appointment I'm left waiting for services to start on time. Something I have noticed with the n current leadership change. I have shared this feedback with Massage Envy staff as well. Hope they listen or they will continue to be impacted by customers looking for a new place.

july 18, 2018 what do you like about our services?…read more the good --the bad--and the ugly-- la vida livonia the good my first review ever. under dr's orders i must have massage therapy. i am old and broken, so am always looking for a good massage. i was a walk in july 13 2018 and was greeted by two of the nicest people ever (zee and zack) sisters. they explained the program and called out my masseuse "tyia" yes i got the newbie. in that 90 minutes, i received the best massage ever and i mean ever!!! the bad if you all read this and start asking for her i won't be able to get in with her. the ugly just me and they can't help with that. gary b.

I will start by saying, I have been to other LaVida locations before and they're all not like this…read more I've been to several other massage places and they're more attentive. Maybe I just got a bad masseuse this time, so in that case I highly don't recommend Pam at this location in Livonia. I get to LaVida at 2:10 for my 2:15 appointment on Monday December 23, 2024. I finish their intake form in 1 minute because I sped through the whole thing, not wanting to waste any time. I wasn't picked up from the masseuse till 2:21, please fact check the cameras there to show that accuracy, because I know I'm right about that. Which means, by the time the masseuse is done talking to me and I take off all my clothes and lay in the bed, I'm not getting massaged till 2:30. The whole time I'm in the bed she's telling me that I'm stiff and I need to stretch or my soreness won't go away. I tell her I don't like my armpits touched, and the area right above my butt is always tickly so I don't like that touch either. I tell her both things she gives me attitude both times, saying things like "It's tickly here because it's tight. So you don't want me to massage this?" Like no woman I said what I said don't touch me there. She spends just as much time on my arms and legs as she did on my back.. So what was the point of me even doing the intake form? Not to mention she probably spent a good 15 minutes just putting on lotion, and doing whatever she was doing because it wasn't massaging me. She turns me around, rubs my shoulders for about 2 minutes and then tells me she's done. It's 3:15 on the dot.. I am fully clothed and in the lobby by 3:19. How is it that I pay for a 60 minute massage but I'm fully clothed and out before the time they even brought me to the room. Again, go ahead and watch your cameras and see when I come out back. Check it, please. So not only did you shorten my time, but you didn't do what I asked you to, which was focus on my upper back. They did take off $30, which I will check our bank statements to see, however this was a waste of my time.. I'm not saying don't come here. I'm saying don't come here and get Pam as a masseuse. Let's see if they rectify the situation because this is unacceptable.

My massage therapist was running a little bit behind which wasn't a big deal to me. While I was waiting, the owner had a seat with me and had a nice friendly chat. Nothing weird, just showing good customer service. I wish I could remember my massage therapists name because she was one of the best. She was quiet and focused on the areas that she could feel the most knots and tension. The front lobby of the business was very clean and inviting. A nice sitting area while you wait. The room where I received my massage was very comfortable and quiet aside from the meditation music. It was also very clean. The only change I would suggest is having a mirror in there. Highly recommended!

It was a 5 star service, the only suggestion I'd give is the salt room to be warmer as well as the massage beds, they were normal room temp when we began, but the warmth of robe, oils, hands and stones was great! We will definitely return because not all masseuses do as great of a job as they did in focusing on our troubled areas, asking about pressure etc. Sauna room corner was lovely as well.

Great place with great people…read more I was feeling discomfort in my left shoulder and neck so I decided to look up places to get a massage. Immediately, I clicked on Thrive because of the five-star reviews. When I called, they were able to book an appointment for me in the next half hour, but not for what I had originally intended. Instead of a massage, I was advised, I believe what they call, a "tune up." When I got there I was greeted and brought into one of the rooms where my session began. We started with cups, then stretching with the cups, to muscle scraping, and then finishing with decompression. The cups didn't bother me until I had to stand up with them and the muscle scraping was a little painful, but I believe it was all for the better. Decompression was my favorite part. I even took a short nap lol. At the end of the session, the parts of my back that had been cupped were a little sore and it was slightly uncomfortable to move. The next day, I woke up in pain. My back was tight and in need of a good stretching. Working through it was tough, as I lift a lot of hardgoods throughout the day, but relieved itself slowly throughout the day. By 10pm, I only felt pain where some of the cups where, and that was if I applied pressure. Two days after my session, my upper back has never been more relaxed. Although, I still have some pain in my neck and left shoulder, it feels a lot less intense than before my session. My upper back feels better than it's ever felt; and my lower back better than it was before. I told a coworker I wouldn't do cupping again, but I am currently planning a second session, as that is what is going to get rid of this pain completely. I highly recommend coming here. If not, at least talk to them. They had the knowledge to understand that I did not need a massage like I had originally planned, but a different type of therapy that would aid a specific part of my body that was giving me problems. These people truly care about making your body feel better, and I plan on trusting them with taking care of me further.

I feel that the massage would have been better. I typically get massages from another location, but I was open to the suggestion this day! I also booked a one hour session. We started relatively late and also ended early. So I don't feel like I truly got the full session that I paid for.
