I work near Grand Canal Dock so when I kept seeing bloggers writing about how good this place was, I had to go and see for myself. When you arrive go to the door and buzz the buzzer (not on the boat but the entrance to the barge). I was a little confused when I arrived on how to get to the boat. I was brought into a cute room. It was very relaxing and they put on relaxing music. The lady (I never caught her name) was really friendly and I felt comfortable with her. I got a Reflexology Thai Massage and OMG it was the best reflexology massage I have ever received. When the lady said she loves doing reflexology, there is something calming and exciting when you hear this, as you know for a fact that this is going to be a good massage and it was. I can't wait to go back. I would highly recommend this place, even for a quick shoulder/back massage at lunch they will be defo seeing me again soon. read more

I would be careful before booking with this business. I booked a massage online for November 9, on November 8. On November 9 it was raining and I couldn't find a cab, so I called to let them know I was running a few minutes late but I would be there for whatever time I would have remaining of my scheduled appointment by the time I could get there. They told me to come back tomorrow. I requested to keep my appointment because I didn't know if I could make it back on the 10th. They told me I would have to come back tomorrow. On the 10th I noticed that I had been charged automatically for the massage that I wasn't allowed to come in for. I called to ask if I could come in at 3pm and they didn't answer the phone, but were only willing to communicate via text. They texted me that I could come in at 6pm, not 3pm. I wasn't available at 6pm. I asked for a refund. They asked me to come get cash. I am an American and I had limited time in Dublin. I wasn't able to come find them to get my money back before I departed Dublin. They assured me I would be refunded and asked for my credit card number again, which I provided. Fast forward to today, November 21st. I've continued to text them regularly. They've continued to apologize and assure me they are working on it. They still haven't refunded me, and when I let them know (via text) this morning that I am not satisfied with this, they asked for my address to send me a check. I don't understand why they were able to instantly take my money via their online booking system but can't refund it for services that were never rendered. I'd advise anyone to be careful before booking with this business. They've offered me a complimentary massage if I ever make it back to Dublin. This doesn't help me. Now I get to wait for a check for another two weeks. Ah well, first world problems. Still, be careful before booking online with this business, or you may be paying for a service you never get, and left hoping for a refund weeks later. read more

I have been walking by this place on my way to work and decided to have my1st Thai massage on a barge as one of my Bucket List items. To get to the barge, you need to call them as you're blocked by a door with a code. A Thai massage therapist did an amazing job by combining acupressure, body manipulation and oil massage, I was in heaven. 4 stars because half into my massage, workers started cleaning floors with high pressured equipment outside, making so much noise that it interrupted my relaxation. When scheduling your appointment ensure that no outside work was scheduled at the same time. read more

I have been to many massage places in Thailand , and there are many floating markets in Thailand, but no one has ever offered a massage on a barge, so when I found out the massage on a barge, it's kind of surprise and first experience to me. I would say it totally made me feel that I was back to Thailand again. Place was clean and well kept, and the staff was helpful when I had questions. The masseuse was professional and skilled. After the massage treatment, take a walk in Grand canal area by the way, it's also a wonderful experience here. Would highly recommend if you want a nice and relaxing massage while staying in a special place of Dublin. Just don't forget book in advance due to they are very popular. read more

I'm a regular visitor to The Barge and have to say I really enjoy a very pleasant massage anytime I'm there. Jenny is the lady who provides it usually, and I find her very professional. She's amiable and easygoing as well which is why I keep going back! Would highly recommend The Barge if you want a nice massage. Tony Martin read more

Highly recommended, I have been suffering with a bad back and hamstring problem for years now, and since coming to 'massage on a barge' I am leaving pain free every time. Very knowledgeable and professional masseuse. Streets ahead of any other I have tried in Dublin. read more
