I've been looking for a good massage place near Danbury for several years. I can't believe I missed this one until now! The place gives spa vibes. Clean, peaceful, nice-smelling. After my first massage, I immediately booked my second one and I went there three weeks in a row to get all the kinks out. Their signature massage is perfect for someone like me, who prefers a deep tissue/release type of massage, and the massage therapists I have had have all been very knowledgable of the body. I've had many bad massages where the therapist was clearly not trained on nerves and muscles. These people know the body. I have been having foot, ankle, and toe pain. Decided to try a new place and get foot reflexology. Called for an appt and they were very accommodating I was able to get an appointment for a half an hour which when I asked for the appointment. They are still using Covid protocols. Hand sanitizer at the front door, staff wearing masks. As people left and came in they disinfected and door inside and out. I also noticed when I was getting ready to leave they cleaned the chair I had been sitting in. The cost was very affordable $50 for a 45 minute foot reflexology. I was first going to try a medical massage plus but it was double the cost at $120. They had me sit in a nice comfy big chair that went back. They wiped my feet and legs down with a hot towel. I think I needed to ask for it but a hot soak of some sort would have been a better start to the message. The women who did the actual massage seemed to be in good tune with my movement she was pressing too hard. I was happy she was using a scent free cream or what seemed to be a scent free cream. Im very sensitive to smells and for me it would have ruined the vibe if all I smelled was the cream. As long as I dont feel sore tomorrow I will definitely be back to Massage Mend Me in Brookfield many times in the future. read more

From drop tissue on someone with a good amount of muscle tissue like myself, to just a general relaxing chair massage, prenatal, and more. Walked in and was able to get was able to get an appointment right away. The place is clean and nice, basic and simple decor. No frills really... The staff are all very friendly. Massage fit the bill for sure! Pricing was reasonable. The only con was that I was there on a Sunday at noon and I think they share a wall with a Church. We had great massages here. Highly recommended! We were pretty stressed, coming in from out of town and dealing with hospice followed by a death in my family. We were able to get in fairly last minute (same day) for a couples massage. My masseuse was Gavin and he was a miracle worker. Jack's masseuse was Linda and she was super skilled. They were so quiet throughout the massage that I almost felt like I could drift off. But then Gavin would find a trigger point and work to release it - and I knew I wanted to stay awake to feel that relief. It felt so good! Really awful experience. First of all, no one I talked to spoke English so it was very difficult to communicate what I was looking for. The massage itself was excruciatingly painful. Have had Gabby and Gavin. They are both fantastic therapists. Very strong and good at deep Chinese style massage . They both really get into the muscle and strip it away from your bone (not in painful way!) Range of motion in my neck is better and way less pain. I took my aunt here and now she's obsessed ! Great deep tissue massage. I guess having aromatherapy was extra. It wasn't extra at Aveda but you have to wear a mask now so not sure if aromatherapy is even worth it. Hopefully if my sessions stay as good as this one I'll be on a 2 week rotation. Aveda was so used to me (every 2 weeks) that the massages were getting suboptimal and too chatty. read more

The masseuse was very keen on the correct amount of pressure and made sure to ask an appropriate amount of times if I was comfortable and if everything was okay. I was feeling stressed on the way home from a doctor's visit last Tuesday, and since I was driving by, I stopped by to see if they'd take a walk in. A little unsure of myself, I walked in, and two women came out and immediately asked if I wanted an hour or an hour and a half. Feeling a little pressured by how fast it was moving, I decided I wanted a massage anyways, and said OK. I used their restroom, which was clean and nice, then a woman showed me into a room. Having only gotten two massages before, I asked a few questions and then was left to prepare. A few minutes later, an older woman who did not speak English came in and began to massage me very roughly through two blankets. I tried to explain several times that her massage was hurting me, but she didn't know what I was saying, laughed politely, and continued the very rough massage. Not knowing what to do, after about 15-20 minutes, I asked her to stop a few times. She left the room, and left the door open - I don't know if she was getting someone to help talk to me or what, but I wanted to change back into my clothes and having an open door made me pretty uncomfortable. Wrapping the blanket around me, I closed the door, grabbed my clothes, then dressed by the door with my body blocking it, in case they came back and opened it. Thank god I did, because a minute or two later, the handle turned, and I called out that I was dressing. I came out, explained that it hurt (I was sore for about 45 minutes afterwards), and paid for a half hour. They kept asking to do more massages on me, suggesting several different types, and so on. Asking for more business when I clearly wanted to leave (I said "Thank you, but I'd like to pay and leave" twice) felt pushy and made me really uncomfortable. I left feeling super uncomfortable, sore, and unhappy - not the healing boost I was hoping for. I'm glad other people had a good experience here, but I definitely would not go back. read more

I opted into the signature massage 30 mins with foot reflexology (30 mins). They customize the massage to what your current needs are. They finished the massage with hot stones and warm towel (that also helped clean off all of the oil).
