Horrible experience. Scheduled my wife and I went in for a couples massage. Long story short website advertises it for $269, over the phone they said it was $269, but at the end of the massage which was cut 10-15 min short, given by someone in street clothes, they told us that it was $269 per person and website costs are for 1st timers and this was our 2nd time there. So we spent close to $600 for the worst massage we've received. Lady up front even admitted that she's told corporate that people are complaining about false advertisement. So beware! I went to Massage Heights, New Braunfels, with my friend when we went there for vacation. We decided to go get massages since the guys wanted to go watch sports. The guy that gave me a massage didn't dim the lights, talked the entire time, barely massaged me and thought it was appropriate to flirt with me instead (seeing that I was clearly married). I even paid extra to have hot stones in which he used 5 minutes or less and just sat them on my back. The customer service department contacted me 10DAYS after I wrote my google review and offered me to come back but said I had to go to this specific location. I live 3 hours away! Absolutely awful. When I got there, we had to do 10 min of questions on an iPad, then the masseuse finished 10 min early. I paid for 90 min and got maybe 65-70 with changing clothes too. That's not the worst part. There's a lot more! So I let him know that I can't have the Lower back done because it's too painful (it's fine when someone isn't poking and prodding) and my concern is my shoulder and neck from sitting at a desk all day and hunching. He was doing my mid to lower back so I reminded him not to do that area. He said oh ok. Went back to the same spot after about 5 min. I told him again to please avoid it and focus on the areas I needed it more at the time. He continued doing my back and going to my shoulders for about 5 minutes at the most. Didn't touch my neck. He put tons of pressure right on top of my spine and not muscles which I'm sore as hell now and hope he didn't injure something. His hands were either calloused or his fingernails were long. I was scratched multiple times. Oh, and he kept grunting this awful sound and putting weight on my lower back when trying to reach over me to get to the other side. I guess he was tired and he considered customers to be more of a countertop. I asked about using the CBD that thru advertise adding to your massage for $40. He told me if I bring my own in, they can use it for the massage. He asked me if I wanted the heated table on (which I asked for) but then had a table fan blowing full blast on me (I'm assuming for him). He had me face down the entire time. Didn't have me turn over and didn't spend a minute on my neck. Lastly (I think-I feel like I'm missing something more...there's just so much), the pillow that goes under your knees. It was at the end of the massage bed and the top of my toes. Didn't bother moving it. I told the girl working there with a mask on about what had transpired and she said there's nothing she can do and I can contact the corporate office. I paid and left. I'm wondering if they use this guy for new clients only since they charge less but seems to me they're going to prevent others from going back too (as long as he's doing them). A massage is supposed to be relaxing. This was 100% the opposite. I won't be going back there. The Retreat in New Braunfels and Oak Haven massage around Stone Oak are great places to go. read more

Came here to surprise my wife after she finished pilot training and the massage was really good! The place is nice and clean and the staff is friendly. One thing I really didn't appreciate is how the information I received on the phone was different than when I showed up. I was told since it was our first massage here that we would get a discounted price with an elevation add on. The price I believe was a bit discounted but then they said the add on didn't come with it which is totally fine but why did they promise one initially then? The discount was kind I think it was $70 each for a 55 min massage but I just wish they would've stuck with their word. And maybe there was also confusion on my part but I confirmed it multiple times with the person I initially spoke with so it's frustrating that it didn't workout the way she said it would. I had thought I heard her say the therapist was not available for my massage so I booked a session at a different Massage Heights location. When I tried to get reimbursed or get $30 taken off, they weren't having it. The owner and some of the staff who work there are rigid and unprofessional. I have been a MH member for 25 years. Fabulous experience until my latest experience at the Creekside location with the manager Tim. Let me be clear, the therapists at this location are awesome. My review is about Tim. Tim was engaged in some monkey business accounting with my account and the credits on my account. There were some clerical errors with other members accounts and Tim did some swapping of credits on the books and never informed me that I was involved in the editing of the records. When I checked out one day, they informed me that I didn't have enough credits to cover my massage. I replied that there had to be enough credits...so they looked further and found another record under my account that had credits, so I was right and they applied the credits. After I left, I felt uncomfortable that the accounting was wonky because I felt like I had even more credits due me as I had not been in quite a while, so I called my "home location" in San Antonio where I had joined 25 years ago and asked them to help me reconcile my credits to my massages. They helped me discover the "swapping of credits" accounting that had gone on in the fall of 2024, where I had charges on days that I did not go in and with a therapist I have never met. When I reached out to the Creekside location for an explanation, I got three different stories on what happened. Over several months, I asked on three occasions for Tim to call me to walk me through what happened. He never did. I reached out to my "home location" to let them know I was cancelling my membership because of the monkey business going on at Creekside. They helped me restore my credits and found me a new location pretty close to my home in Seguin. Tim finally called me today and was very rude to me told me he did nothing wrong and that the credits he took from me on a date that I did not go was just him correctly adjusting for a date back in October where another member was charged for my massage...and he was just updating the records and he did not owe me any other explanation. I will never go back to Creekside MH as long as Tim is the manager. Customers beware! read more

I booked a massage online and logged into their system for the booking and everything. Online told me it would be $80. Showed up and it turns out the massage is $150. But online let me book for $80. I tried to cancel the appointment once I got there and was informed about the price change and they said I'd still owe them $40. Their online system should not make it possible for a returning guest to book a massage that isn't meant for returning guests. Once that all got figured out it was 11:10. I went back for my massage and by the time I got undressed and ready it was 11:20. The massage was over at 11:58. So I paid for a 60-min massage but only got a 40-min massage. I'm giving them 2 stars because the front desk ladies were super sweet and tried to help me the best they could. If it wasn't for time I'd give no stars. I left feeling scammed and forced to give this company money. I felt like a hostage. NEVER GO HERE. read more

TLDR: Avoid this place like the plague. I am not one for writing online reviews. However, after my latest interaction with this store, I felt compelled to share my experience with the masses so that anyone who decides to do business with this store goes with their eyes wide open. Quick Notes: a. Any card you use here will be kept on file...even if they already have one on file for your account. If for some reason they can't charge the card you intended to be on file they will automatically charge every other card they have a record for until they get their payment. Without notifying you there was an issue or asking for your consent. b. Don't agree to anything you are told by the staff or management without getting it in writing first and even that may not be enough it seems they have no issue telling you something to garner more sales or an up sale to only disavow any knowledge of that statement later. 1. In the case something odd happens with your account and card on file, the current manager / owner will not accept any culpability at all and will instead offer you a litany of excuses for why its not their fault / responsibility to the tune of "Blame massage heights the company for their chosen system, not "Us" massage heights the local branch. You have been warned. The issue and interaction: I was told I could use my membership elevations to cover a service by the owner / manager, and did so a few times at this location without issue and then the very last time I went this location charged me $25 dollar fee after having a brief discussion with me and me relaying what the manger had told me and explicitly telling them "No" to the question of did I want to use the card on file. When I went in to question them about this I was told: 1. "I have spoken with Tim (the owner/manager) and he said that if he had made such an arrangement that he would've put a note on the account." (Implying I was lying about the whole thing). 2. That since the charge on the account had already been put in place that there was nothing that could be done 3. This was a corporate policy and they aren't able to wave the fee or allow members to use their elevation credits to cover it. 4. Even though he called the store to talk to the lady behind the counter (who turned out to be the new manager something that she didn't reveal till much later in the conversation) that I could not speak with him right then as he was very busy and that she would let him know I wanted to talk to him but she couldn't tell me when that might happen. 5. The manager kept implying that I walked out without paying however the conversation that I had with the lady behind the counter ended with her saying to me "Okay, that's fine" and her going to do something else. The manager also stated: a. She was the one who "applied the "override" to charge my card for $25 (after her employee indicated that everything was okay.) b. She admitted (grudgingly) Yes, they should've said something to me about it but sometimes they get too busy to call people. i. It is interesting that they have time to call you to ask you to schedule an appointment to drum up business but they don't' have time to call you for important things like hey there was an issue and we will have to charge you $25 dollars, for this service because of "x, y, z" read more

Absolutely horrific customer service. Constantly cancel appointments you have to make months in advance. I have been canceled last minute (same day) so many times I have lost count. The front desk berated me and yelled over me when I was trying to ask about my appointment for the next month since my current one was canceled. I asked her to stop speaking over me so she could hear me and she accused me of having an attitude then hung up on me. Very childish. Very rude. Did not solve anything. This was unacceptable. Let me start by saying this was my first ever massage. I received a gift card for an introductory 1 hr massage when I called to book it I was told the price had gone up $10 and I would be responsible for that. I thought that was pretty ridiculous that they where raising the price on something they had already sold and let the lady on the phone know that. She said she would put that in the comments but in the end it made no difference I still had to pay the 10$. So I was just looking to have my back and shoulders rubbed and I don't even think that happened. What did happened was that this very nice young man stabbed me all over front and back with his elbows and forearms. It was absolutely miserable. I've been a charter member here for over a year until I found out they hired a massage therapist who was charged for criminal trespassing into my home. My husband was a precious client of this therapist at a different location and she violated his confidentiality by posting a picture on one of her social media accounts, of the computer screen that he had an appointment with her. A clear violation of his privacy. We also shared proof that she is still going to court to answer for her criminal trespassing charges. The manager of the location assured us she would be fired or she would not work at the New Braunfels location where I get my services done, but that wasn't done. She still works there and also at the location that I go to. The manager would not allow me to be refunded for my 17 credits and stated I have to use them within 30 days. Unbelievable... In addition to that, before I knew that the woman worked there, during one of my sessions with another massage therapist there, I mentioned that I had been hospitalized and where. A few days following that woman posted pictures in her social of where I was hospitalized... nothing was done to protect my privacy or experience. This place is clearly unethical and neglect the privacy lawas So I responded with my contact information only to not be contacted. The manager at the location would rather be brought into a pending lawsuit that refund my credits. It's a simple solution and simple customer service answer... he never even investigated how my privacy was violated and if Hipaa laws were broken. read more

My therapist was 11 minutes late getting me in the room. She was another 5 mins waiting to come back into the room after I got on the table. I asked for a light touch and got something closer to deep tissue. I was told I would get the full 90 mins. 90 mins really means 80 mins. The gal at the front desk promised I would get the full 90 mins. My massage ended 75 mins later (the massage part was probably all of 65-70 mins). When I went to pay, I told the front desk gal (different from the first one) about the issues. I said I wouldn't pay for 90 mins, but I would pay for the time I did have a massage. She wasn't going to help me. She didn't care. I finally got her to call her manager who took $10 off (after she lied to him about what I said). This whole thing cost me $199. It was the worst experience I have ever had. For that amount of money, I would think they would be so excited to have a customer. In my opinion and in wanting to provide fair warning to anyone wanting to go to Massage Heights...unless you want to pay luxury prices for campground services, I would look elsewhere for a massage in New Braunfels. The massage package is a scam! Don't give them your credit card. I purchased a package of massages for my husband in December 2020. I just (November 2021) got a "membership" charge for $69.99 that I did not authorize. I called to cancel and was still charged. After signing a membership cancellation request, I see it states, "once cancelled, you will be debited one more time." I will not do business with a company that tries to trick customers into a membership with automatic debit from my credit card when all I believed I was purchasing was a package of massages. read more

Worse experience possible! What was suppose to be a nice relaxing gesture for my wife turned into more unwanted stress. Not only was the staff Kayleigh and Jena very rude in person to my wife and over the phone to myself, but I've called multiple times and requested to speak to the manager Tim Gosch and have yet to receive a call back. Conveniently the manager is never there when I call. I booked a 60min massage online for my wife at 12:30 and I received a conformation email for 12:30. The staff took it upon themselves to change her appointment to 12:00 after I told them my wife would not be able to make it by noon. I received no notice or conformation of the changed appointment time. My wife arrived around 12:15 and was deemed late. She received a 25min mediocre massage and we were charged full price. This place is a crock. I should have read the online reviews before booking her appointment. I never would have came here in the first place had I done so. I would not recommend this place to my enemies. If negative 5 stars was an option it still wouldn't be enough for the dissatisfaction I have. read more

I don't usually review, but I was so disappointed today. I have been a client for about a year and this was the first time I wasn't able to schedule with my usual therapist so I was put with someone else. This was a 1 1/2 hr massage appointment. I am a dental hygienist and have been getting massage therapy for many many years. This was the most unpleasant massage I have ever had. 5 minutes in I wanted to stop, but just as with my job, thought I would let this therapist continue. Her strokes were rushed, not relaxing or therapeutic feeling at all. I felt like I was on a rough road ride. If anyone is familiar with the episode of Friends when Monica is giving massages, it was like that. I even asked the people up front how long they had been doing this as it felt like they just walked in off the street and started giving massages, I could do what they did. I give 5 Stars to location and all other times I have been there and the therapist I normally see but I just couldn't go this time without saying something. He was super respectful and considerate of the amount of pressure. We spent a lot of time laughing! Haha. I had Morgan for my fascial. She was so comforting and encouraging of my skin care routine.
