I'm extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service and professionalism at this Massage Envy location. I booked a first-time 90-minute massage for my elderly mother, and we were all looking forward to a relaxing experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be anything but. We arrived on time for our appointment, but the masseuse was not ready. The front desk staff member, Kiana, said they needed to go over some questions. I explained that my mother does not speak English, but I was ready to assist with translation when the masseuse arrived. During the wait, I asked to use the restroom, and upon returning, we filled out the questionnaire. When we finally met the masseuse, I had to repeat everything again, which wasted about 10 minutes. Once in the room, I asked the masseuse when I should return to pick up my mother, and she responded, "50 minutes from now," even though my mother hadn't even undressed yet. I immediately returned to the front desk to clarify this, and Kiana told me--quite rudely--that we would still be charged for the full 90 minutes because we were "supposed to arrive 10 minutes early." Not only was that never communicated to us, but even under that reasoning, we were still owed at least 80 minutes of service. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told none were available. Upon returning to pick up my mother, Kiana reiterated that management would charge us for the full session and that nothing could be done. This business clearly does not value its clients and is more concerned with enforcing unfair policies than providing quality care. Charging for a 90-minute massage and delivering barely 50 minutes is unacceptable. They have lost our business for good, and I strongly recommend others stay away from this location. read more

Massage was horrible , felt like they were just rubbing lotion on And then when I got out and addressed this issue with the front desk they really didn't seem to care stating she was kind of new ..and then asked how much tip I want to leave and asked if I wanted to rebook Absolutely NOT I said I laid on that table during the massage thinking when will this be over ...so not relaxing at all for $105 plus my tip I've never had problems at massage envy in Alaska or Colorado But I WILL NOT be returning to this location EVER read more

I was very disappointed in my experience. I have been here before multiple times, I took a few years off of going and went back for the first time. This place has REALLY gone down hill. The beginning was great, everyone was so kind and the wait was quick. It wasn't until I got in to the room I was pretty disappointed, I booked a specific massage with a specific masseuse because online it said the said masseuse could preform the specific massage. When we entered the room she informs me she "doesn't do those", so I would have to choose something else. I was a bit annoyed but rolled with it. I was offered options on ways that we could try to obtain the massage I was looking for which was fine, but when I said some thing about one of the ones she offered it was DOUBLE the price of what was listed online which made no sense to me. So I denied it. I asked for a full body massage at this point with specificity focus on a main point on my body BUT still wanted the full body massage. Once we got started the lights were still on as bright as ever and the masseuse kept talking the entire time which I didn't prefer because it's supposed to be a mindless and quiet experience. During the massage I'm pretty sure she spent 45-50 minutes on my specific area and during most of it, it felt like she was just leaning on me with no pressure or intent to actually massage. Once finally moved to a different area on my body it felt careless and quick and never asked me to roll over for the full body experience like all other places I've been to have. I was very disappointed. She was as sweet as she could be but it just wasn't a good overall experience. When getting to the front desk the lady at the front told me that next time I come it would be $120 if I didn't do the membership, I politely told her I wouldn't come back even if it was $70 again. read more

It doesn't matter they send out the message to remind you about up coming appointment that you answer confirm or not, they still charge you a cancellation if you don't show. So why they send out the message with cancel or confirm the appointment for what? What's the point? They say that's the policy. Don't get it then pay it . I changed my phone number and didn't receive the text message from them, I didn't come for the service and still get charged 100%. I understand time is value but this is too much. I would not recommend this location! The receptionists are very unorganized and inconsistent. I had to call numerous times over (6) to schedule an appointment and made it very difficult to purchase gift card. The receptionist gave my mom a hard time when she came in for her appointment. Then she asked me to give my credit card information multiple times even though I already purchased gift card. She threatened I'd lose my money and she needed the card again on file tell her over the phone. I asked would it be easier to make profile online don't want to keep giving my credit card number she said no. Then I told her why can't look up receipt number I have it she didn't want to & she didn't include my moms information on the gift card label anonymous. Now I have to consistently check my card make sure no fraudulent charges. I believe she was trying to get over $80 because when I called another time spoke with another staff member they had no idea where gift card was. I booked a 90 minute massage but only received 65-70 minutes. I figured it was a mistake and I was accidentally receiving a 60 minute massage. The receptionists stated you booked and received a 90 minute massage, we have to account for 15 minutes of the consultation. That makes no sense as I was arrived 20+ minutes early for the consultation which should NOT have cut my massage time. Extremely frustrated. read more

I have also had many facials and massages, but none have measured or come close to the one I have received from LeeAnne at Massage Envy today. We had a couples massage and facials for $50 each hour-long service per person, with a total of $200 plus 10-20% tip. The ambiance was good with dark rooms, calming music, and dim lighting and the staff was courteous and bring you a glass of water after each service. I would suggest adding complimentary aromatherapy to add to the experience to all sessions without the $10 surcharge since the cost of doing it is negligible. I love that the massage is fully customizable as far as pressure and areas of focus. They use Murad products for the facial and have a steam mister machine during the facial session. They start off with cleansing once to remove excess dirt and oil and then a second time to assure cleanliness. My goal is glowing skin so my therapist did two masks on me and during each she did a light massage on my face, arms, hands, and décolleté. It is difficult to find information on the Massage Envy website so here goes: We got the introductory $50 per session price. After that, it is $90 per session for non-members or $60 per month for members. Members get one massage or facial per month and any additional service that month is $40. Services unused roll-over so they don't expire. Massage Envy is good if you travel domestically a lot since there are many locations in the USA. read more

Came in for couples massage , my hubby and i walked in sat down waited for the receptionist to get off the phone which by the way was a personal call when she finally looked up at us 16 minutes later she says " where ya'll checking in?" My husband looked up at her like she had 3heads... lol i said "Yes, we are here for couples massage. SHE THEN SAID " would ya'll like to wait?" I'm a member and although I don't stick to one particular therapist, I've never had a bad experience - quite the opposite! I can't wait for my monthly massage appointment. The therapists are all very friendly and professional, the atmosphere is relaxing, it's very clean, nice music, and they're always on time. I received a complimentary facial one time and loved it. Another time I rolled over one month's appointment to a friend who was visiting so we had a girls' day and it all worked out without any complications. All in all, it's worth the money! read more

Love this place with that being said don't use Karen .. before I got undress she asked if there was any area that needed attention, I told her yes my neck and shoulders cause I carry a lot of tension there.. my neck never got touched and my upper back was a hit or miss , and no shoulder massage.. she got hung up on my leg and stated it had bad "roping". Went for a couples massage with my husband for our anniversary unfortunately the couples room was being used for storage while they are remodeling and they called days before our massage to make sure it was ok if me and my husband were in separate rooms and of course it was fine. Customer service was ridiculously rude. The two young ladies at the front desk kept playing on their phones while I was talking to them trying to check in for my appointment. Mind you, I made my appointment by phone 3 days prior. It was supposed to be for a deep tissue massage and when I finally was able to check in, I made sure to confirm with them that it was for deep tissue. After 20 minutes of wait time, I was finally taken to the therapy room and that's when the therapist said "I see you're scheduled for deep tissue massage. Well I only do normal massages not deep tissue. Is that okay?" Very nicely, I told her that I was there to get a deep tissue not any other kind. I had to wait 10 more minutes and finally the deep tissue therapist took me to the room. Everything was fine until I noticed that she was applying way too much pressure with her elbows on my back. I asked her to minimize the pressure but it stayed the same. I've had deep tissue before in other facilities and I can tell you that this didn't feel like the other ones. Do not give this place your money or business. I went there for help after a car accident they got over $1400 when I told them I was moving and could no longer go there they gave me the run around! Insurance company told them to refund me the money that was not used and for the 8 massages that were charged $130 for I only got back $245. I have been a member for two years and experience awful customer service on my visit 03/14/15. My appointment was schedule for 4pm I checked in with the rep at that time. I waited until 4:15 and inquired why I hadn't been seen. He states because your appointment is not until 530pm. Really??? And you were going to let me sit and wait until that time? Could you not had informed me when I checked in? He replied he was busy at the time I checked in with a nonchalant attitude. I politely left and call to speak with manager was told she wasn't there but they would have her to contact me. Still have not received that call. I have Fibromyalgia and severe Osteoarthritis and having a membership where I receive at least one massage a month has done wonders for how I feel. I love Massage Envy and the way I am treated with kindness and respect there. They always know my name and call me by my name. I use the same massage therapist, Kim, all the time and she knows my body so well. She focuses on problem areas for that visit. she does not talk unless I talk to her or ask her something. I recently moved to Auburn Alabama from Florida and was looking for a place to receive a massage. I did a google search and booked an appointment. The day of the appointment when I walked in, the lady at the front desk did not have my info. After several minutes of investigation, we realized I had accidentally booked my appointment in Georgia. I felt so bad and asked the lady at the front desk if she would please call them and let them know that I showed up at the wrong place and I was so sorry. When I booked my appointment they took my card info down and explained that I would only be charged when I redeemed my massage. There was no explanation of a cancellation policy. When the lady in Auburn called they explained that I had already been charged and their manager would not be in until Tuesday, so I should call back then. I completely understood. I am a hairstylist, so I completely understand that if you don't show up the massage therapist doesn't make any money, but I also understand that accidents happen. I never charge my clients a cancellation fee for first time cancellations or no shows, only habitual offenders. When I called to talk to the manager and explain what happened she was very short and condescending. She said that the card company they use can not refund money back to a visa debit card only a credit card. She talked over me the entire time I tried to explain myself and was super passive aggressive. She got me off the phone by explaining that she would call the card company and see if they could refund the money, then of course I never heard back from her again. I called her back today and was told they could not, but she would put points in the system that could only be used in Columbus Georgia. I get that I made the appointment at the wrong place, but this manager has no customer service skills. If I treated my clients like this, I would be out of a job. read more

They have an unparalleled intro massage or facial special. For example, my first 60min massage was only $39 and great quality! The facial I got afterwards was only $49! And was very well done as well. I was glowing and didn't need any makeup afterwards! Great deal. Even better, as a monthly member at $55-59/month, you get a 1hr massage or facial credit. If you don't use it, it rolls over into the next month and you can share it with a friend! How cool is that. Also. The special member massage and facial prices are up to 60% off. So you could no doubt budget 2 a month. I'm a massage and facial addict, so I appreciate these GREAT prices. Haven't found anywhere else with comparable prices, let alone spa experience or quality. More importantly, the setting is very professional and very spa -like. That is a huge must for me! I partially go for the professional and magical, relaxing spa experience. The masseuse and esthetician were very communicative. They wanted to do exactly what I wanted. Love that. They were also very friendly and made be feel comfortable. Also appreciated. Best of all, for me, I really don't like to talk during beauty or spa treatments like these. I prefer to just zone out and relax and not talk. In this respect, they were wonderful! They'd ask only needed questions, in a gentle, quiet manner and that's it. Not chatty! And I am so so glad for that because I've had bad experiences with masseuses or estheticians chatting the entire time or sharing life drama the entire time. Not fun. Not what you go for. So. I love love love that these guys didn't! And these aforementioned qualities have been hard to find, since moving to the south. So happy to have found this place! The quality of the work was wonderful!! As were the staff - including the front desk girls!! So. You too owe yourself at least $59 a month to get a massage &/or facial (for only another $50+). A 2hr massage is only $79 for members!! That is an insanely good deal!!! Must add, as I have much experience with this, it's proper etiquette to tip 20% for services like these. The massage isn't bad, but the front desk employees (minus the nice girl that helped me today on 9/21/17) are all so incredibly loud. One girl was yelling about not having a ride home and was joking and cussing. This is the second time I've been here where the employees at the front are loud and obnoxious. While the massage is good, even though I didn't get my birthday aromatherapy add-on because the therapist "doesn't do that," the waiting experience before hand is anything but relaxing and spa like. Whenever I've gotten massages, I've always used Massage Envy...until today. Myself, mom, and sisters have only used massage envy since they opened in Columbus...however, yesterday my husband was trying to surprise me and scheduled a massage. Unfortunately he didn't know I already had a previous engagement to attend. When we called to cancel, we spoke to a young lady named Lauren who informed us that the cancelation fee would be half of what I would pay for the massage! It is obviously a way for the company to make their money. We will no longer use massage envy and going forward will use Sundays Day Spa in Columbus, as I hear they are much more professional and flexible with their schedules.
