This park is 73-acres and part of the Great Pond Park. It's connected to Stratton Brook Park. The trail is 1.4 miles, out and back. The path is wide, flat, and behind some houses. It can be accessed near the parking lot in Town Forest, adjacent to the little league baseball field. The other end is 150 West Mountain Road, which only has a pull off to the side for your vehicle.
I enjoyed the easy walk. I saw some people riding their bikes and jogging. I think I saw a black bear from afar so I turned around. You can extend the walk by going towards the Stratton Brook State Park Beach. I really love the AllTrails app for this reason because I could not find much info regarding this trail and information regarding Massacoe State Park. There are a couple of trails going through the park. I read an article that they were starting to do logging out of this forest and people were petitioning it. I'm not too sure of the status of that now. Overall, the walking path was easy and I enjoyed walking on it, until I saw a bear lol. read more
