Specifically, when calling to make an appointment with my doctor for one or two months in the future, you are told that, Dr. Turner's schedule has not been released for next month yet...you will need to call back." After repeated call backs this time I was told to call on Monday and Dr. Turner's schedule would definitely be released for next month. Imagine my frustration when I call Monday morning at 8:45 and the office staff says that Dr. Turner doesn't have any appointments for next month and her schedule the following month, "hasn't been released yet." Did all of Dr. Turner's appointments get filled in the 45 minutes the office was open this morning? The office staff person proceeds to argue with me and tell me that I was wrong about the information I'd been given on the 5 previous times I called and requested a May appointment. The office management and scheduling are completely ridiculous. It is disrespectful to expect a patient to call daily to request an appointment. I'm sad to say after many years, I'll be looking for another practice.

I am an emergency room, nurse, and critical care nurse, but I'm away on military assignment at the moment. I will not be recommending this doctor to any of the female patients that step foot in my emergency room.

My practitioner, Valerie, is compassionate, thorough, and has really listened to and addressed all my questions/concerns. Valerie spent an ample amount of time with me, and armed me with a great treatment plan which included several prescription and non-pharmacological options to combat my intense symptoms of nausea/vomiting. I'm feeling MUCH BETTER now! She's also been very flexible in meeting my needs in regards to ordering my prenatal screening lab work. The ultrasound techs, Emily and Sheila, are both very knowledgeable and personable, and Katie at the front desk is just the sweetest! I had an appointment several months ago and ran into the "please arrive 30 minutes early" to complete paperwork. After waiting several months to get an appointment, I arrived at my appointment on time i.e. at 3:00 my appointment time, it was unavoidable, I got lost, traffic, etc but I was very excited to make it on time. Imagine my surprise when I was turned away because I had not arrived 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork. Turned away! How many times have I sat and waited in waiting rooms, in examining rooms after arriving at an appointment pretty much without complaining because we are all conditioned to wait. I looked at the website and the office policy information, and nowhere is it indicated that if you don't arrive 30 minutes early you will not be seen. It is hard enough to get away from work for medical appointments, let alone add a 30 minute lead time to an appointment to fill out paperwork that takes 5 minutes after which you wait another 30 minutes to be seen. I dont know who decided on this protocol; however, it is clearly not in the best interest of the patient. I was shocked. Needless to say I did not try to reschedule. Pretty sure that the practice doesnt care. My suggestion is that the "30 minutes or else" policy be described on the website so people dont waste their time trying to get there "on time".

This was a first visit for me with Dr. Moulder in this office and she took plenty of time to review my history and general health background, with no sign of the rush one sometimes sees with doctors. She was friendly, approachable and thorough. While this is not generally an enjoyable office visit, it was quick and easy. I would certainly recommend them and will keep them on as part of my health care team.

After my girlfriend explained the situation Dr. Schwartz responded with "Good for You call back on Monday". She totally disredarded the fact she has had pains and fever for a week. If she is going to be ON Call she needs to handle these calls seriously. I know 1am is late but that is how the Ask a Nurse numbers are intended to be used .
