A special trip just for this occasion ! I went with my friend who has been here a handful of times. She warned me about the parking & Culver City is just a nightmare when it comes to parking - the lot was not available for parking because there were tables still set up for Iftar when we arrived. The street parking is crazy, & if you park in one of the residential streets, be SURE to read the signs !! The majority of them are 2 hour parking & permits are required. Alhumdulillah we ended up getting lucky & scored *free* street parking on Washington Blvd a couple blocks down. Do note, if you come before 8 pm, street parking is all metered on Washington blvd, don't forget to pay ! The outside is stunning. The minaret has neon lights which just adds to the vibe. The color theme seems to be blue & the tiles are handpainted which I can appreciate. The steps & the facade of the building are also made of marble. Gotta love it ! It was packed when we got in. We came for terawih, during the khutbah. It was a zoo. We got up to the women's section & the room with the windows were completely full. So we ended up having to pray in the hall. The hall area is very poorly designed because it is sort of a mezzanine area, you can look down & the men's section is right under which is interesting. If the opening was closed off, there would be plenty of room for praying. It was also sort of a fire hazard because the halls/walkway was so full, I couldn't imagine trying to get out if there was an emergency. Lucky us we ended up right in front of one of the rooms where the kids are running & screaming. Lovely ! Despite it being packed, I really enjoyed my experience. It felt very calming & magical to pray with limited space amongst so many people. Made me think this is probably what Masjid Al Haram is like during Ramadhan. I also was under the impression that mostly Saudis would come here, but I saw all colors & all types of people. I felt welcome & I loved the diversity ! I return, definitely. Next Ramadhan inshallah because the drive is so long. Beautiful masjid, it really is the place to be !

Through her teachings, I have gained a deeper understanding of the Quran, and I am continually discovering new layers of meaning that resonate with my daily life and prayers. I'm learning my surahs by heart and I'm learning to speak Arabic. She takes her time with each person individually but still hold us accountable for memorizing our lessons. I'm grateful for sister Halima and give thanks to Allah for guiding me to king Fahad masjid. If you are a new Muslim I highly recommend taking classes here, its one of the main reason I attend king Fahad masjid. The mosque is very clean and I love attending jummah here.

It's such a beautiful sound that touches your soul and grabs your heart. Even if you're a non believer, one would appreciate the beauty. Location is very convenient (off 5 fwy)! So happy there's this beautiful masjid here in Irvine. I was a bit weary of the parking, especially coming for Tarawih prayer. I got in a lil after 8 & there was still lots of parking! I ended up parking in the New Horizons School parking lot. The street parking was full. I am not sure how full the actual parking was in the lot of the masjid. By the entrance there were workers directing people in where to park. The atmosphere is just lovely. The interior feels very very clean & I loved how the sisters area is a mezzanine, & not just a separate room completely blocked off (if you have been to other masjids you know what I'm talking about lol). It was a bit hot in there, which is probably my only complaint. The speakers here were so good & the sound was on point. The way it echoes throughout the masjid is just heartwarming! I love going here so far, the recitation is just amazing. Can't wait to come back again!
