Sy Berger is an excellent professional and is known through out the legal community as a #1 attorney. If you have ever gone through a divorce you well know that it's never a smooth, likable outcome and something even both parties are bitter and blame everyone except themselves.

I utilized Mr. Berger for my divorce almost two years ago. Initially, his service was pretty good…read moreand the process seemed to be handled effectively. However, two years later, I am still waiting to have paperwork completed pertaining to my divorce settlement and he has been very unprofessional and unconcerned. I think that it is very unethical to be paid for a job that you have no intention of completing in a timely fashion. Both I and my ex husband have called his office many times over the course of a year in regards to this paperwork and each time, we get the same reply from him, "I'm working on it" His behavior in handling my case in which he was paid to handle from beginning to end has been despicable and I will NEVER recommend his services nor utilize them again. I think it is very disrespectful as an attorney to half complete paperwork related to a case. His lack of concern in this matter has caused many problems between my ex husband and I as it affects both of us. Please be very cautious when choosing an attorney.

DO NOT HIRE THIS WOMAN!! She is a basket case, lies so much she forgets the lie she told you 5 min…read moreprior, she is a crook, does not know divorce laws. She thrives on drama. When you actually get her to commit to a meeting, she spends most of the time, as she's charging you, taking personal calls or calling friends asking what the laws of divorce are. Charged me $3,000 to retain and after a month ( case was about to be dismissed for non progress) of pushing her and listening to lies as to why she hadn't done anything in my case as promised, I had to go to court house and file my own motion and get my own court date. In 3 days I got done what she had a month and a half to do. Ended up on day of final judgment having her withdrawn from my case and representing myself and getting my divorce final by myself. She then threatened to put a lean on my house for $1200 more if I didn't pay in 30 days. All she literally did for me was file a motion to say she was the attorney on my case and one phone call to FOC. She did however blow up my phone to talk about " crazy clients" she has, ask for good reviews, and talk about how she fired her secretary for opiate addiction and asking for her pain pills. This lady is crazy!!! Also stood me up 2x. Save your money!!!
