Doesn't matter how much you buy... you get one punch... Don't expect to much from this place because they do little to no work here
Amanda R.

To this place is a hole in the wall and super dirty. BUT... We go here and have for years to support them. But, besides the prices going up and it being somewhere you typically wouldnt ever wanna be in we go because the ice cream and the kids like it. They give you a punch card. So tell me how I spend $60 in Ice cream and they give you ONE PUNCH ON A PUNCH CARD?? That means if I spend $60 on 4 different times spending a total of $240 then they give you a free scoop of ice cream??? What a joke. I'd rather go to the drive thru at the clean place on Ajo and 6th. That's actually what I'm going to start doing because this place isn't worth it. At least they 1. Have a drive thru 2. The people are way nicer. ( the people here aren't friendly so don't expect great service either) 3. It's clean 4. They have a clear menu

The Macedonia raspado was very filling and satisfied my sweet tooth. The prices are inexpensive and they make sure your raspado is nearly overflowing. I gave them 3 stars because I didn't feel too comfortable when I was inside. Some of the staff weren't wearing their face masks correctly. Additionally, there were patrons inside that were close to one another. The space could have been cleaner, too. We ended up taking our treats to go!

Deliciouso! I was cruising around the south side and BAM it hit me! I needed a raspado STAT. As soon as I entered the mariachi music was bumpin' and I knew I was in for a treat. I recall hearing of the mangoyada previously, and having little knowledge of what the menu said, since it was mostly in Spanish, I went with that. It was shaved ice, topped with mango, and chamoy. Seeing I had no clue what chamoy was it was a big gamble. However, it paid off! It was unlike anything I had before. Fruity, salty, refreshing, savory, spicy-all at the same time. Chamoy is a sauce made from apricots, vinegar, chili and it is good. The green side of the building is the ice cream, agua frescas, respados, and other menu items I am sure I would love if I knew what they were. I yearn to know what is in the bag of tostitos that people are devouring. They take credit card, but if it is under $10 they charge .50 cents. No problemo! The pink/red side of the building is the party planning part of the business. There is a wall of bulk Mexican candy a few pinatas and tables decked out for parties...

Tamarindo y frescas respados con nieve.

This is a nice little raspados place on the south side, they've got all the comfort foods you could really ask for: Tostilocos, nachos, raspados, nieves, etc, and it's priced fair as well. I usually order a tamarindo raspado with nieve and la lechera. It's a nice mixture of sweet, tangy and creamy goodness. If you're in the south side and you need something to satisfy your Mexican junk food cravings, check this place out!

Mary Boyer has several business's From an Ice Cream shoppe which I haven't been but will be going for a Raspado's (if I spelled that right) on South Sixth Avenue by the rodeo grounds to a Wedding Reception Facility that caters to many special special occasions. Every event is organized by her and created between you and her to be just right. Her location is great for out of town guests because her location is right next to a hotel with very reasonable rates. If you have a party or something coming up definitely check her out. She has a full kitchen and Bar and is set up to BYO everything if you would like. I really liked her optimism and enthusiasm. She enjoys what she does so you can be certain you and your guests would have a blast..... Hablo Espanol......

Good and very different. Tiny chunks of ice mixed with fruit in fruit syrup with ice cream and creama, etc. Fun and refreshing. Lite .......

I was invited to Bahama Bucks and honestly... how has no one put me on to this sooner?? I've never…read morenoticed it, never thought to go, and now I'm questioning everything. It's a snow cone spot but make it chaotic. Chamoy, Tajín, and yes... diced pickles. They call it piccadilly and I know that sounds unhinged. First bite: confused. Second bite: okay wait. Third bite: suddenly you've crushed the whole thing. I got a flat top (not the big dome) with tiger's blood piccadilly and it felt very Tucson. Sweet, tangy, salty, weirdly addictive. Also open late which I love because sometimes you just need a random midnight snow cone moment. Service was great even that late. Total hidden gem, random location, and now my new favorite thing. Also found out it started in Lubbock, Texas which somehow makes this even more unexpected. Just go. It's an experience.

So many different flavor combinations to choose from that I haven't tried the same thing twice yet! My faves so far are the Sweet Hurricane and Dr Pepper SnoBlasts. I also love that they are open pretty late (until 10pm) and have a drive thru! Although we mainly eat inside becuz it takes me forever to decide on a flavor hehe Staff is always super nice and inside is always really clean. Looking forward to my son's first birthday cuz we plan on ordering the catering package (:
