I am writing to express my sincere pleasure with real estate agent Mary Dorsey (Texas Real Estate Broker) who helped my daughter and I find our new home.
I started looking for a house using HAR, and when submitting information on some of the homes, Mary was the only broker who picked up the phone and called me (instead of just sending an email response). This was just the start of her personal approach to working with me and finding us not just a house, but a new home.
When Mary and I first spoke, she asked me to put a list together of all the things that I was looking for in the new house. What was required and what was a nice to have. My 9 year old daughter also put her own list together and Mary was so patient and great with her through out the entire process as well. Mary made use of all the relevant search engines and real estate databases to quickly find us a variety of homes for sale in area I was looking at. She did not waste our time with homes that were out of our price range or not in line with our needs. She also brought to my attention new homes that had not yet been built. This was the first time I had a real estate agent talk to me about a new house as an option. She showed no bias one way or the other on a new versus resale. She wanted not just me, but my daughter to be happy with the house we chose.
When my search began, I was living in Connecticut and looking for a new house in the Tomball area. For me it was a challenge to try and find something being so far away. I planned a week with Mary looking at homes and flew to Texas with my daughter. It was a tuff order trying to find the right place to live in only 5 days! Mary emailed me various options ahead of time to help narrow down the search prior to our arrival.
She was flexible in her schedule taking us to see various homes, and even going back to look at some with my sister to get her opinion on some of them.
I ended up deciding to purchase a new home. Mary was terrific through this negotiation process, she understood my budget and held firm with the builder through the negations. I flew back to Connecticut, which was difficult for me as I was worried I was going to miss something since I could not walk through the house at various stages or keep an eye on how things were going. But Mary sent me regular emails and updates as the house progressed; it was almost like being there myself!
When there were issues with the builder, she stepped in and pushed on my behalf to get things done right!
I can't say enough about all the support Mary gave to me throughout this entire process. As my daughter and I settle into our new wonderful home, we will continue to stay in touch with Mary who has also become a friend. I would highly recommend Mary to anyone. read more
