Food was good BUT it took forever to get served and they didn't even apologize a little. Disappointed.

If you stop by the address for Beef Brothers listed by Google and you see a burger joint with a…read moredifferent name, don't be alarmed. You're in the right spot. Not sure why thing are set up this away, but alas, what's important is that at the end of the day, you'll have a great meal. Ambiance (3/5): Beef Brothers has a small interior with a few tables and no A/C. The place to be is on the patio in front of the restaurant. Al fresco dining is the way to go in Europe. The restaurant is on a busy street with lots of others restaurants, bars, and shops in the vicinity. Service (4/5): We stopped by on a Friday for dinner. You order at the counter and they will bring your food out to you. As a fast casual restaurant, service isn't a big part of the experience. With that being said, the guy working the cash register was friendly and took our order without any hiccups. Drinks (3.5/5): Bottled soft drinks and beers are what's offered here. Including some craft brews. Since we were having drinks after, we stuck with alcoholic beverages. I had an iced tea. Food (4.5/5): To my surprise, Germany has a big burger culture. While I was skeptical as I'm an American and I know we do burgers right, I was most definitely proved wrong. Beef Brothers has a creative menu of burgers. You'll see a Mexican burger with guacamole, you'll find an American burger with BBQ sauce and onion rings, and more. My burger was cooked just right and oozing with flavor. The veggies were fresh. The bun was fresh and lightly toasted. All in all, a great burger. To further add to the fun, Beef Brothers has loaded fries. I'm a sucker for loaded fries, so I couldn't say no. My fries had melted cheese and bacon bits on them. The fries delivered too. If you're not looking for something quite as filling, they have regular fries too. We were looking for an affordable meal that would give us a nice base layer for a night out drinking. Beef Brothers accomplished that with flying colors. If you're looking for a solid burger in Cologne, this is a great spot to check out.

Free fries with a check in here, why not give it a try. My quest to find Köln's best burger is…read morestill in action. From the interior of the restaurant I thought it was really gross and I felt dirty for sitting in there. Apparently it is also used as a club which I believe is quite noticeable due to the fact of how unsanitary everything looks. The service wasn't that great either. Both workers were just texting or on their phones and they looked miserable which I think is a bad reflection on the restaurant. Now to the important part the food. The fries were quite greasy and disappointing I thought, I can understand why they give them away for free. But the dipping sauces I had were quite good. The chili lime mayo and peanut butter mayo were really good but you get a small portion. The burger I had was the Italian burger. It had a lot of good flavor but it was a little too rare for me. The sauce was really good and all the ingredients tasted good but if the burger was cooked a little longer than that would have made me happier. Interior and service 2 stars. Burger 3.5 stars.

We continued with our Burger tour, now it was time for Zimmermann's…read more I must say this place is really the kind of place you don't even notice it exists. Even if it's located at a really concurred street and just across the Stadtgarten. I had the chance to try 2 Burgers, no i didn't order 2, Olli and me we couldn't decide which to get, so each of us asked for a different one and shared. Great idea. We ordered the Zimmermann's and the Kahuna, both were super tasty, the winner for me the Kahuna, it was just great. The sauces were also incredible, all home made, with fresh ingredients, not the typical supermarket sauce, the fries were also pretty good, the only thing i didn't really like, or found great, was the bread, it tasted good, but it was cold, besides that, all was just excellent. Great friendly service to really good prices, good Quality food, in a good location. So i would say, this place is really one of those to keep in mind. Definitely going back.

However, we didn't order anything roasted. They are known for their coffee roasting. Since it was lunch time, we ordered lunch instead of breakfast. My wiener schnitzel was perfect and the man's saffron risotto was delicious. Pleasant but slow service. An decent place for a quick lunch, especially when not many places are open on a Sunday. Just be prepared for slow service, even by European standards. Boring review, I know!

We dined here for brunch after we walked by other places in search of a place that served omelettes. Because it was a cold grey day, we dined inside which was very cozy and right next to the coffee bagging / roasting area. You don't get much of the smell in the front but in the rear of the restaurant. I unfortunately did not have the omelette. My breakfast came with a glass champagne and a variety of meats and cheeses including lox, ham, salami, and manchego. It was served with a basket of breads which just didn't do it for me... Only the white bread was toasted. I need my bread either hot and fresh or toasted. I would definitely suggest this place as a pit stop for a light breakfast and coffee.
