This car wash gets the job done, but there are some things to know before you go. *Know Before You Go* -The pay machines are dated and not maintained that well, so I would strongly suggest using cash. -be mindful of the extended cables and vacuum tube when using the equipment, as it can hit your car if you're not careful. When I used my card, it charged me $20 (max charge) even though I did not use all of the allotted time. Since then I use cash each time. I purchase $8-12 worth of time, and it works fine. It's self serve so unfortunately you can not expect any employees to help you out. The actual car washing equipment works well. it cleans the car effectively, and it's relatively efficient if you know how to use it. The cleaning cycle on the machine is pretty straightforward. I like how you can cycle through the various automatic washing tools. I always make sure to bring my own towels and window spray for the finishing touches. There are a lot of negative reviews which are valid complaints. It's not perfect but at the end of the day this carwash gets the job done and I would still recommend it if you prefer to hand wash your vehicle. read more

This place is a rip-off, avoid at all costs, I've been here several times, unfortunately this is the closest and only car wash in the area, I used the coin machine for change and took my money and no coins came out then I decided to use their card machine and it charged my card 2 times and water never came out. I've left several notes in the past and never get the money mail back to my address or even a phone call. read more

The worst car wash I've ever tried! No pressure, no settings work! Avoid it please, don't waste your money

avoid this place it's a rip off. They're taking you money. You can't reach anyone to get your money back. I passed my car in the machine and charged me 5×4 dollars. Try to see if the phone work the phone doesn't work Sapa they're stealing your money. read more

settings don't work, and I was charged $20 for both times. first time said that I'd be charged $5 and the second time it said I'd be charged for $6.75. Not only that no workers on site and the washers don't work well. terrible service overall and am going to have to dispute the charges and am also gonna file a report with commerce department and local DA for consumer fraud. read more

I washed my car for three minutes and 49 seconds and it said that I'm supposed to pay five dollars and some change and when I check my statement, you guys charge me $20 on my car to wash my car thanks a lot I need to be refunded the rest of my money You guys took more than what it said. It cost me when I press the red button. read more

I like coming this car wash because it gets the job done. Some of the equipment hasn't worked before so I would recommend if staff could be there. It does seem a bit neglected and definitely needs to be renovated. So far I have not had any problems. read more

So YELP states Oh no! What could improve? A few things to consider in your review. 1. Service Requested. All I requested was proper use of the facilities to wash my car.... Well nothing went beyond that point because both of the machines I put my money into didn't deliver. First I tried getting change, because the wash station states NOW ACCEPTING $20 BILLS NO CHANGE GIVEN. I figured I wasn't going to spend the whole $20 so I'd get change. Put a $20 into the quarters machine. Nothing, no quarts, no $20 ZERO. Put a $20 in the wash station same thing. No one is working on site and there is not a contact number posted anywhere. Looked them up online, got a contact number, called a bunch no answer. Moral of the story. If you want to pay cash for zero services and no resolution by all means go to Marv's Carwash. What a bummer read more

Why is there no information regarding the owner's contact number? I attempted to contact them, but a "out of service" announcement gives me a bad feeling that I may have to deal with some challenges with the owner on obtaining my refund. The change machine malfunctioned, resulting in a $10 shortfall. Additionally, the wash bay I used malfunctioned, retaining approximately six coins. read more

Grew up next to this spot. Use coins or cash. Ripoed off my debit card 26$ . It charged me 20$ when my purchase was 9$ first te

Been using it since the day it opened. Was at one time the best in LA County. Really an amazing place to wash your vehicle. Over the past few years has fallen into neglect and malfunctions. Addict camp near by brings in shady people so beware of the 24 hour operating times. Might not be wise to come here at certain times. read more

Scam. Don't come Here Took me 10 minutes to wash my car and it wasn't efficient plus I was charged $20 for a terrible experience. I could've just went through a sled drive at a gas station. Never again. read more

Please beware! I put a $5.00 bill in to get quarters to wash car and nothing came out. I used my last quarters to vacuum the car at least and I put the money in that was required and it still said I was missing .75 cents. I tried to shake the machine and nothing. I lost my money and never got to vacuum the car. There is no sign anywhere to contact anyone. Other people were complaining and upset as well! read more

It is ok for the most part, I have not had the credit card problems some have described. However, the area is not the best, and the car wash itself is frequented by transients. There are also some rude and self entitled people who go here, like this person who was sitting in a wash bay when all of the others were full. She only moved her car out when confronted. read more

Marv's Car Wash - Rude customer's car, she sat in a wash bay when others were all busy, and would not leave until confronted. - Car Wash Near Me - Chatsworth, California

I should have read the reviews before going here. The second time I was at this car wash. The soap gun was not working. I went to two other bays and same story. Little or zero foam. All three times the final cost was under $10. The second and third time I was in each bay for less than 3-4 minutes. The charges were under $7. But my credit card was slammed with $12 each time. So a total of $36, and my car was still not completely clean. This is a rip off. I called to report this. Nobody picks up. This is terrible. I need to find another place. read more

I've been going to this car wash for years. Last week one of the vacuum machines was stealing customers' money. The vacuum didn't work, so I left a note on it. Today I paid $20 for a car wash in the third bay from Devonshire St. The water pressure was so low in that bay I couldn't even rinse all the soap off my car when time ran out. Another customer was complaining he lost several dollars in the broken vacuum machines. I've been trying to contact the owners of Marv's Car Wash, but no one answers the phone. Only gave them 1 star rating because there was no lower rating! read more

Don't come here. First the coin machine ripped me off by shorting me change. Then when I fed the machine a bunch of change for a good long run the water didn't work! Not a drop out of the wand no matter the setting. No employee around but there was another customer in the next stall having exactly the same experience. To add insult to injury the listed telephone number for the car wash did not work. I drove away about $10 poorer in my still dirty car but all the wiser. I should have checked yelp first. Don't trust this place. read more

Just awful, dirty bays & deposited a five dollar bill for only 4 minutes...... and the presoak/soap gun doesn't even work?

Wow is all I can say! I've been coming here since 1990 even when Marv and his wife owned it, brought many cars here to wash. A Chatsworth resident and homeowner since 1992. People in this community know me. I've never been approached like this, so rude! Today approx. 9am pst. I rolled in with my 2002 Honda Accord, just thought I'd use a little soap and rinse, empty some trash out of my car like normal. Slid my credit card used the soap brush and rinse $6.50 later got the trash out of my car and proceeded to leave until I noticed a person and looked like his son emptying the machines collecting money etc. and then the older person coming towards my driver side window, so I rolled it down and he says "If you're going to just come and dump your trash only, don't bother coming back" Wow was I appalled, pissed off, disgusted and offended to say the least! No hello, No how was the wash, just an attack. I can understand people in today's world may dump trash on their facility, but there must be another approach. This caused me to throw F Bombs on this guy and Rude expletives, along with letting him know I will never bring my cars or vans here again. He stared my car down suggested I didn't wash it and he can go to the cameras etc. BS on this guy. This guy was completely off base in front of his son/worker, even the other patrons drying off their cars. There were witnesses to his verbal attack and false accusation. Made me have to do this review to alert my neighbors not to support this operation and after reading some reviews this doesn't surprise me one bit. This guy did not ruin my day, cause after I stated I'll never come back he exclaimed "Good" and I proceeded to leave, get my oil changed by Ramzi @ Desoto Auto, picked up my dry cleaning at Chatsworth Cleaners, thanks Anna and grabbed some lunch at the Munch Box, thanks Andy then shared my story that I'll be giving 5 stars to those establishments and never returning to Marv's. Enter Marv's at your own risk, you've been warned! Sincerely, Mike read more

I used it for 10 mins, at the end of the car wash, the machine told me that the charge would be $10. I saw on my bank app that I was charged $12. Automatically rips you off. Cheaper for a $8 wash at Chatsworth car wash without all the work. read more

This place is a rip-off. System indicated my charge would be $3, yet actually they charged my card $10 and an additional $1 in cash for about the 3 minutes I needed to clean mud off my tires. Instructions are poorly explained and even imply that $1 in cash will allow you clean your vehicle. Not the case! Marv....this is fraud and a HUGE RIPOFF. I'll never be back again read more

Expensive, low pressure water, machine out of soap, my vacuum at home has more suction. This place used to be the best. Not anymore. Sad. If you want to give your money away and get little in return, come here!! They don't upkeep anything and just take your money. read more

Update. I was charged $12 when the machine reported a fee of $6. I was latter credited $6 on my bank statement a couple days later.

Probably one of the sketchiest places/car wash business I have ran into. They automatically charged $10.00 for washes when using cards, regardless of time. Several times I have been there and either the pressure gun doesn't work on rinse or blow dryer hose has severe air leakage. I have also experienced their coin exchange machine eats dollar bills with no return button. I have been there at 7am on days to wash my car. Apparently this is the time which the cleaning crew likes to arrive. Nothing like having people walk past you constantly while trying to wash your car. Best part is when they break out the gas powered blowers right after you just washed your car. Blowing shit back all over it. This location has issues with drug trafficking, general crimes and even cars being stolen. Strongly advise avoiding this location. read more

This place has been renovated. The renovation is for the better. They take credit cards ... can you believe it?? The machine that controls the nozzle does so many different things: suds, suds for under your engine, suds with wax, etc. It is awesome. This place does not have high pressure rinse and didn't realize it until it was too late. It took forever to rinse my car. At the end of the wash it cost me the same as if I would take it to a hand wash somewhere else. The ratings speak for themselves. Pass. read more

Took my money no towels no change return not customer friendly no way to contact anyone for assistance.

The car wash was nothing special and all the sprays and hoses worked great. My problem is I used a credit card and thought by pushing the stop button I would only be charged for what I used, instead I was billed $10. For that reason and that reason alone I'm giving this place one star. Don't screw over your customers! read more
