My son was a new patient of Victoria's, and her office intake took only 7 minutes, as she rushed herself during the visit and gave us minimal incomprehensible instructions. We waited in the lobby for 45 minutes and she was in the room for that short period of time. She did not do any thorough history and assessment, due to the fact that I had provided her the diagnoses, and she then proceeded to prescribe as many as 4 different topical agents to my son. Unbelievable and what incompetence! There was no justification for prescribing multiple agents and some potent dosages to simple dermatitis and acne. Unfortunately, the prescriber at this practice provides substandard care, and all they know is to prescribe without any consideration for untoward risks and side effects or even the cost of the medications. It is completely unacceptable, and this will be reported to the insurance company for fraudulent claims and practices!

Doctors are recommending patients for an open MRI, patients go there or an MRI, and don't find out until they get there and given a gown that they don't have it. They ask the patient if they are claustrophobic and then tell them they don't have an open MRI. They have two machines - on that is smaller than a coffin, and a larger so they ask if you want to be put in feet first. I had a MRI and my doctor wanted one with contrast. He ordered it immediately and they kept making excuses about how it would take 28 days to get another one. My doctor faxed them, and finally called them; my insurance company contacted them and I called them. They said doctors depended too much on faxes and I know my doctor called because I kept tell them they wouldn't do it. I discovered that when 28 days had passed they could charge you again and they wouldn't do just the MRI with contrast but they did the other one first. They were able to charge $200 even thought I had paid $170 just 27 days earlier. They were waiting until they could charge for another MRI without out contrast (which I didn't need) and add the with contrast to it. I was very upset and would have walked out but I needed to get the one with contrast and my doctor had been waiting a month. I came away with the feeling of false advertising and feeling cheated because of the scheme to get paid twice.

I was told both of Jessica's room were occupied and after one was empty, they would have to clean the room before taking me back. I asked if they could give me a time estimate and they said they could not. I told them I couldn't keep waiting indefinitely and had to leave. The check-in person said, okay. No offer was made to reschedule nor was any apology made regarding my time. The practice did not refund the $50 I was charged as a co-pay. I just called their office to request a copy of my records. They said they would email me a release form and once I completed the form, they would work on getting my records for me. I asked how long getting records usually takes and they said they couldn't really tell me as they only had 1 person that pulled records. This practice has zero respect for their patient's time or care. If a practitioner only has two exam rooms to work out of then logic should tell them to schedule accordingly. But, Bluegrass Dermatology chooses to stack patients up in their waiting room and then to rush them through an exam.

Mr. Sullivan called me…read more"aggressive" for knowledgeably asking questions about billing after multiple staff members state blatantly false information, tells me I am not listening while he mansplains, and asks "how do you expect me to live on $50 for 30 minutes?" as an explanation for why it should've been obvious that all 15 minute visits have a co-pay of $50 (in actuality, $50 for 10 minutes). All odious behavior that Mr. Sullivan exhibited. And then the gaslighting responses from Mr. Sullivan being, "I'm sorry for the confusion," or "I'm sorry that you feel misled" and then aggressively repeating "I've already apologized" whenever you're stating there was a lack of transparency regarding billing practices, including on the forms signed that were recalled as "evidence" of me being informed (when in reality, it was more written "evidence" that I was misinformed). TIP for Sullivan: An appropriate response would have been, "It's an extra $20 for active release therapy, which is not covered any insurance companies. Someone should have told you beforehand, which is an error on our part. I apologize that multiple staff members misinformed you. We will try to do better in the future." Extremely inappropriate is 90+% of Mr. Sullivan's response, on top of his borderline fraudulent billing procedures and untrained staff.
