Don't go here unless you have an hour to wait to be seen. My first appointment was 2/19/25 with…read moreJessica Smith. I waited 40 minutes past my appointment time to be called back to wait additional time in a room. I found Jessica's annual exam to be hurried and much less through then my past dermatology exams. My next scheduled visit was 8/20/25. After waiting 30 minutes past my appointment I asked at check-in how much longer. I was told both of Jessica's room were occupied and after one was empty, they would have to clean the room before taking me back. I asked if they could give me a time estimate and they said they could not. I told them I couldn't keep waiting indefinitely and had to leave. The check-in person said, okay. No offer was made to reschedule nor was any apology made regarding my time. The practice did not refund the $50 I was charged as a co-pay. I just called their office to request a copy of my records. They said they would email me a release form and once I completed the form, they would work on getting my records for me. I asked how long getting records usually takes and they said they couldn't really tell me as they only had 1 person that pulled records. This practice has zero respect for their patient's time or care. If a practitioner only has two exam rooms to work out of then logic should tell them to schedule accordingly. But, Bluegrass Dermatology chooses to stack patients up in their waiting room and then to rush them through an exam.

I was running late for an appointment yesterday and could not get them to respond to see if I needed to drive up from Frankfort or reschedule for another day. Very frustrating! I think I will have to find another now that my dermatologist with this practice has retired.

Very disappointed with this practice. I took my three oldest children here because they accepted…read moretheir insurance. I had concerns - felt there were some unethical practices. I even questioned whether or not the treatment decisions were based on profits. I have never had these doubts with any other medical provider. Recently scheduled an appointment for my 4th child. I called at 4:30 (the end of the day)and they mentioned they had just had a cancellation for the next day. Took the appointment but after hanging up I learned my son had a school exam at that very time the next day. The office was closed but I called the first thing in the morning to reschedule. I was told I would have to pay $25 since I didn't give 24 hours notice. Explained to very rude staff that I had just scheduled the appointment so it would have been impossible to give a 24 hour notice ! Staff insisted I must pay the $25. So I will pay the $25 but I will never schedule another appointment for any member of my family. This attitude and the obvious greed reminds me of how I always questioned the ethics of this practice. The great news is I found another practice that accepts our insurance and I am so impressed with their professionalism and patient care. So for $25 they lost 4 patients. They also might want to train their staff on how to talk to patients or maybe as they view it their "customers".
