Dealers…read moreand locksmiths are charging as much as $500 for something that should cost $10 and (for dealers) labor which should be provided as a courtesy. Alex isn't a cure for that, but he can significantly ease the financial pain of losing or accidententally destroying your fob. He programmed my $38 Amazon purchased replacement (albeit without any warrantee, which I think is perfectly reasonable) for a far more reasonable fee, although still outrageously high from my perspective. However, it's the system controlling access to codes which charges him ridiculously high fees for each fob he codes which is the source of the costs. That said, my experience was very positive. I emailed him on a Sunday evening and made a late Monday afternoon appointment for the next day. No waiting, no hasssle. Very satisfied and will highly recommend him. But...I have an ODB scanner capable of programming key fobs given the necessary codes. That hurts!
