Mark could not have been more accommodating and fit us in his schedule. He was very responsive via text. After seeing his photos, I trusted his eye and he selected a perfect location for us at Woodlawn Manor Park. Mark was friendly, patient, professional, and great with kids. We're still not sure how, but he was able to get my 7 year old with special needs to say 'cheese' for...the...whole...hour. His price was very reasonable and the most amazing part was that we received over 100+ hi-resolution picture files to download. Mark's creative eye exceeded our expectations and my family was blown away by how great the pictures turned out! I would not hesitate to recommend Mark to all my family and friends and we look forward to more family photo shoots with Mark in the future.

She knew exactly how to engage him, make the session fun, and keep him interested long enough to capture the most beautiful, natural moments. The photos turned out incredible -- truly beyond what we imagined. She captured the love, energy, and connection of our little family so beautifully. We'll treasure these images forever. I cannot recommend Marianella enough for anyone looking for a photographer who is both talented and wonderful to work with, especially with young children!

Pam even graciously did the ladies makeup so we looked like true professionals, teaching us tricks and introducing us to fantastic new cosmetics. I'd had some done before, but they turned out terrible and I never used them - I looked awkward and uncomfortable, and they just weren't that flattering. This experience was 1000% different. TLDR: If you're looking for a corporate headshot, Armato Photography is 10000% the way to go…read more Yelp's review of "great" is an absolute understatement here --- Armato photography is nothing short of exemplary. I recently transitioned to a new company which required me to update my headshots. It had been a while since I have had headshots done and all I told John was that I needed to look corporate and executive. I notified him of the color scheme my company needed in advance. He made recommendations regarding the colors I should wear and bring and he allowed me to bring multiple outfits to test out which looked best. I am generally a stiff and tense individual and "relaxing" for pictures does not come naturally to me. Not only was John incredibly flexible and understanding of everything, he had this great way of coaching me through the entire experience in a lighthearted, fun and extremely enjoyable way...so much so that nothing about me screamed "tense" or "stiff" in the final headshot. John has a way of connecting to you as a human being, leveraging the few things he knows about you to bring out joy and confidence in your eyes and basically create a masterpiece out of a rock (me, I am the rock). Aside from being so incredibly talented, John is also incredibly patient. I am pretty picky when it comes to my headshots (I always hyperfocus on the smallest details about my appearance which deter me from pictures that may be amazing but from my perspective are lacking or off). I wasn't sure what I would be picky about as it had been a while since I had obtained headshots, so after every few pictures, John would pause and review them with me. He would allow me to express what I liked and didn't like, while also supplying his professional input. We would then take more photos, pause, and repeat. While I was more focused on how random folds in my outfit looked or how certain features of my face looked (my nose has a little curve that is very normal, but throws me off so I am particular RE the angles in which photos are taken of me), John was focused on ensuring he was capturing small details to fit into the big picture. He was not only focusing on the details I was telling him I was picky on, he was also incorporating additional details to make sure every aspect of the picture was ideal. What I appreciated most is the educational component that went into the process - he would guide me through his thoughts and supply recommendations...but would take it one step further and show me the results once I would incorporate a recommendation (instant gratification = fulfilled). Another bonus is that during no part of the process did I feel that John was in a rush or annoyed by my pickiness. I can confidently say this is the first time I have encountered such a photographer when it comes to headshots. Hands down the best way to end 2021 was having John complete my headshots. I will definitely be heading in 2022 with a confident, but approachable, picture to display to the corporate world. Oh, and I will also be recommending John to every family member, friend, colleague, etc that I have who may need headshots updated...he was THAT good. Thank you, Armato Photography, for the incredible experience and amazing photos.

I highly Paul for any of your DJ needs! We found him on Yelp and Weddingwire and asked if we could…read morewatch him DJ locally to see how he performs and he provided us details on the time and location. He has a very simple and efficient set up with lights and sound systems. What was really impressive for us were the music videos that he played that went with the music. Once we saw that and saw/heard his transitions we knew he was the DJ we wanted. We had an unusual theme for our wedding, we did a costume theme "Talk Nerdy to Me" and Paul was not only happy to work with us, but he also had some awesome ideas on how to truly make it our own. With the video screen package, he was able to do movie/you tube clips and a slide show. When it came to getting strange and unusual music, Paul was able to do it with no issues. We asked for quite a few songs that were not in his database including traditional Chinese and Estonian Country music and he was able to get it with no issues. His online planning system made it really easy for us to put our Ceremony and Reception plan together. All of my guests LOVED the music choices. Part of it was our doing in putting together a song list, and part of it was Paul reading the party and playing accordingly. He even accommodated my niece's request for the Hokie Pokie. Don't take my word for it, Weddings are not the gigs he does in the DC area. Watch him in action and see for yourself. I feel that if other businesses book him on a regular basis, he is probably a good choice for your wedding. I am really glad I acted on this assumption, and had a chance to work with Paul. He has my highest recommendations.

At the last minute, he wasn't going to be able to get his equipment out to us in time so I found Paul and reached out to him. Paul told me he was available and met with us in person. He was reasonably priced and we couldn't have lucked out better for a last minute booking. Even though our friend couldn't DJ, Paul let him do all of the introductions which was really sweet. He even let our friend take the reigns and do a couple songs! Paul never felt like our friend was stepping on his toes and we really appreciated that he let us do that. Paul kept the party going from the beginning. I've had so many people since the end of our wedding telling me how great our DJ was. We had a weird mix of twenty somethings and sixty somethings with not much in between. Even still, Paul was able to judge the crowd and keep people dancing. I don't think there was a second all night long that people weren't all over the dance floor! His online portal is very straight forward and easy to use. I was able to put in many details and everything we wanted to hear was played at our wedding. Paul is also not one of those DJs that keeps interrupting songs to talk. He knew when it was appropriate to interject and when it wasn't. My husband commented that this was one of his favorite things about Paul: his professionalism on and off the dance floor. Definitely consider Paul Surreal Entertainment for your next event - you won't regret it!
