The post office itself has a shop, selling essentials like bread and milk, and tinned foods and a few frozen meals etc. They also have a fresh food counter where you can buy quiche, or pies, or sandwiches, which they will make up for you while you wait. The shop also sells stationery, and random things like bird food! The post office part is set at the back of the shop and has just two counter positions. Sometimes you do encounter queues but it's worth the wait as the staff are fantastic, especially the Post Master, Alan. They are all really good, friendly and helpful, and go out of their way to help the customers. I cannot recommend this place highly enough. The only downside is that, being just a sub post office, you can't renew your Road Tax here, but you can do just about everything else.

On the plus side, it's easy to park as it has its own car park, but on the downside, it's a bit difficult to find. You take the Stokesley Road, and then turn left down a little road that it's easy to miss. Then it winds about a bit and suddenly you see the Royal Mail sign. Another negative point is that it's only open to the public for about half a day and there is always a queue, no matter what time of day you turn up! The queues seem to take forever - even if there are only a couple of people ahead of me, it still seems to take ages. The staff are not exactly overflowing with customer service skills and eagerness to help.

why has the collection from the post box on Newham Way, changed to such an awkward time of day…read more 9.00 a m. what good is that to members of the public. It needs to be 4.30 pm or 5.30 pm to give people time to post for the next day. otherwise we have to go over to Viewley hill, Post office at Hemlington. Miles away for anybody disabled like myself!!!

I find the service of this shop very good . the staff on the post office counter are very helpful…read morefriendly and can have a joke with which is very rare these days ,as most places they are glum and you daren't say anything in case it offends .I do al my business there on a Saturday and look forward to it as it is a cheerful place
