As a local businessman, I often have issues with local tradesmen who do not present themselves professionally nor is their work top grade. Well, for those of you concerned about getting what you paid for(and more!), and having some meticulous work done, patronize Martinez Locksmithing, Bert and Kathy are wonderful, professional, on time, and looking to do the right thing for the right reason. My door locks(and the doors themselves) were in a great need of repair work. After a short text, they asked for pictures, then we talked again regarding what they thought the issue might be. Showing up right on time, they went to work and five doors later, were finished, making them all functional. They were very helpful in teaching me about the science of locksmithing (which I wanted to know), and carried on with aplomb. Nothing was too challenging for them, each a puzzle to be solved. Finally,I might add, they are the fairest priced locksmith in town, hands down. I am having them return later for additional work and could not recommend them more for those seeking a real and substantive solution to their locksmithing needs. Patronize local businesses, especially those who perform beyond expectations. DA read more

I need to take a moment to give high praise and recommendation to Kathy and Bert Martinez for their fine locksmithing work. Excellent service and know-how is all too rare these days, and this couple really knows their stuff - plus they're extremely pleasant to work with! I had a nasty shock when the deadbolt of my front door lock suddenly broke when I turned it to open it. I had a client waiting outside, so I had to use the garage door to let him in and out, and I was anticipating an art show 4 days later, with many people needing to come in and out of my home. The Martinez's were very sympathetic and made an appointment to come out the very next day at noon. They told me what type of lock set to buy and where, and were very efficient about installing it, explaining what they were doing every step of the way. They even made me an extra key for no extra charge! Please choose Martinez Locksmithing in Santa Fe, if you need key or lock work done in an excellent way! read more

How often do you get service above and beyond your expectation? Well, that happened to me with Martinez Locksmithing in Santa Fe. I had called them about a door lock problem hoping for a quick service call. (I should tell you that I called Martinez because they have such a high rating and excellent reviews, even though our home is many miles and hours from their normal service area.) When I asked about the service cost, I was shocked to hear the amount. Kathy then asked me what the problem was. When I told her, she said, "that's not a difficult fix - send me pictures of the lock and I'll walk you through it. You can fix it yourself." Wow! She did just that - I fixed it - and she saved me lots of hard-earned money and I learned about how to fix the lock if it has a problem again! Thank you, Kathy! I had accidentally locked my keys inside my RV. I contacted Martinez Locksmithing, where they gathered some basic information and gave me a 20 minute, response time. I was pleasantly surprised, when they arrived early. They quickly got to work and had our door open, in matter of minutes. On top of the quick and professional service, they are the nicest couple. I feel like they arrived as locksmiths and left as friends. Great service and experience, overall. I couldn't recommend higher. read more

Really amazing service. I bought a used slide-in camper, but the owner didn't have the key (the camper was unlocked). I called Kathy, sent her pictures, hoping they could make a replacement key. Instead, she called and said that my best answer was to buy a new lock from amazon for $26. I could install it myself, or they would do it. They made not a dime from me this time, but I will certainly use them in the future! read more

Wow. Nothing fancy here, just a couple who work well together and get the job done. I called at 4:00pm on a Monday and left a message about fixing some locks at our house. Kathy called me back that night, and they were here at 10:00am the next day. No fuss, everything fixed within an hour, the price as reasonable as anything I've seen. read more
