He never mentioned that a ton of dust would be created when cutting through grout, and did not attempt to put up plastic, so the entire house was covered in micro-dust just 2 weeks after the house was freshly painted. The owner called me after I inquired about the silica dust, but didn't offer any help for the extra charge or mess created. They are coming back today to fix issues created when they did the job the first time. I would not recommend them.

Jim, the owner, is very knowledgeable in roofs and siding and it was never a problem to meet with us to discuss the quote and answer any questions. Jim was also on the job for the days it took to replace our roof and siding. His crew was really great. They were polite, knew what they were doing and took care to do it correctly. Clean up around the house was done at the end of every day. Allrestore is a FIRST CLASS COMPANY, great communication, great workmanship. POOR WORK ETHICS!!! We paid for our bricks way in advance, and they had been ordered and were…read morewaiting for delivery. But when it came time to start the job, this company had sold our bricks to someone else instead of delivering them to our home. (Even their own workers said they had done this to others as well.) Then our job had to be delayed a few days more waiting for new bricks to arrive. Already waited 8 months for job to start since windows took forever to arrive. Once work began, their mason did a piss poor job, slopping mortar all over the bricks and not keeping a consistent filling. The mortar between the bricks was from 1/2" - 1 1/2". Looked awful. On top of that, the mason should have seen that the old mortar was only a half-inch thickness between bricks and tried to match it. He packed in way too much mortar which makes it look too white and brings attention to this wall. Nothing but big chunks. Their mason also created a sample section with a gray grout for us to see but once we decided it didn't match the old brickwork and needed white/cream, he didn't bother to take down the few bricks, but instead smeared the white mortar right on top of the gray mortar making an absolute mess! This was only a two-day job, but the mason's boss at East Coast Masonry kept sending him to other jobs that had come after us - way after us. What should have taken 2 days took almost 3 weeks! Our contractor had to have words with them, and their mason had to come back out to clean up and correct his mess. Had their mason built it properly the first time, time would not be wasted. Perhaps if you're rich and spend thousands of dollars with East Coast Masonry you'll get top notch service and workmanship. But for the average family FIND ANOTHER MASON!
