Josh was SUPER helpful in helping me locate an alternate for my original request, which went over swimmingly. And everyone else was super sweet and all smiles. Very clean, organized, and well stocked (mostly - my demi sec being the exception ).

Native North Shore folks might disagree on that point, I'm not sure. Being a native New Orleanian from Orleans parish & spending almost my entire life in New Orleans (Orleans parish proper) strip malls are a foreign concept.( At least the very large strip malls are. ) Metairie, jefferson, Kenner & the West Bank areas all have some larger strip malls. In uptown New Orleans the closest thing to a strip mall was Riverbend restaurant(1974-1987) (which became an Eckerd's then a Walgreens), Gennaro's Cleaners(before it became Gennaro Luke & Son) & Hibernia bank on Carrollton ave. In any case, I really do feel like driving into (hidden from view/ no signage on the street) strip malls is fun! You never know what little gem you might find. I discovered the North Shore Mandina's this way! What was I talking about? AAH yes, the whole reason I'm typing: Back to reviewing a liquor & smokes store: Town Crier on Hwy. 22 in the strip mall where Walgreen's & Rouse's are located. I like this place for the following reasons: - Ample parking in front - great if your in a hurry & just need a bottle of wine &/or alcohol - Competitive prices - Staff at all locations I've stopped in have been friendly ( hwy 59/ 190 by little Wal-Mart This is what it is. The fries came out fresh and hot with a bunch of bacon jalapeños and cheese. The owner was so kind he sent us mozzarella sticks and marinara on the house. For our entrees we ordered a large pepperoni pizza, cheese pizza, veggie pizza and chicken Alfredo pasta. Each pizza was so delicious, the sauce was clearly made fresh, the dough was fluffy but crispy it was a great combination. The chicken Alfredo pasta sauce was made fresh along with the pasta sauce. Nothing tasted as if it came from a jar everything was made fresh to order. We all left so full and happy after dinner. Our servers Aubrey and Haley were amazing and gave great recommendations and honest opinions about the menu. I'm excited to try new things on my next trip.

I was standing there for a while waiting to order, no eye contact, no "hey, I'll be right with you ", nothing. Trust me, it wasn't like the bar was 2-3 deep in people! Drinks were supposed to be half off during bingo so I offered to buy a round for my friends. After the slowest attempt at mixing the drinks, the bartender said $42! I guess only some drinks were half off, BUT, that was not made clear. Come on Lit Rooster, get your crap together and get some bartenders with personality and ambition.
