Without a doubt she is exceptional at what she does. She keeps you informed, is very gentle in her treatments and is extremely knowledgeable. Without a doubt I trust her implicitly. Her assistant Ingrid is very friendly as well and ensures you are comfortable. I have also dealt with some of the other staff dentists and I found them to be just as friendly and helpful. I understand there were some changes at the front reception when they first started at this location but all is settled. I get to sit back and watch the news or even Seinfeld while they professionally work to get my teeth healthy and sparkling. Dr. "B" is a gem.

Before my appointment, I learned that my originally booked dentist had an emergency. Dr. Igor Vujanic (who is also the owner of the practice) stepped in to take care of me, along with his assistant. I couldn't have asked for better care. Both were warm, friendly, and professional from start to finish. Dr. Igor took the time to clearly explain what he was doing, which I really appreciated -- it made the whole experience much more comfortable. Best of all, I was done within 30 minutes of sitting in the chair. A couple of practical tips for new patients: this is a very busy office, so booking ahead is essential as they fill up fast, especially it seems the practice recently went from 4 dentists down to 3. Also, I'd suggest giving yourself more than a tight one-hour window for your appointment -- in a real-world clinical setting, previous appointments can sometimes run a little over, and you don't want to feel rushed. Plan for a comfortable buffer and you'll have a stress-free visit. Overall, I highly recommend Dr. Igor and his team for their professionalism, clear communication, and genuine care for their patients.

It has the same address and suite where I had my orthodontic appointments. My orthodontist was Dr. Banack. A photo of him appears in this listing. However, the business is called Davis Orthodontics these days, so I hope Yelp will accept the name and URL changes. Dr Banack worked at two different locations. This one on the southwest corner of Coxwell and Danforth was for most appointments, from attending consultations, to getting your braces installed with regular monthly appointments. I only visited the Cedarbrae Mall location to get moulds and x-rays done on my teeth. I went there with my mom. I just remember the commute being long. If you lived in the Beaches as a kid and you needed your teeth straightened, Dr Banack was the area's orthodontist. He was competent, but he wasn't exactly the most friendly person with kids. I remember my first meeting with Dr Banack. My parents came with me. He looked at my teeth and said that I didn't brush them. I had eaten eggs for breakfast. Back then, my parents taught me to brush my teeth before a meal -- not after. I just remember him telling my parents that I had a lot of plaque on my teeth. It wasn't the best first meeting. I do have straight teeth and my dental hygienist today said that I keep my teeth clean. Maybe Dr Banack would be proud that I don't have a ton of plaque on my teeth as an adult. I would think that he has since retired. I don't see him listed on the Davis Orthodontics site. I wore braces for three years. I had soft foods after each tightening session. I have nice teeth. It's thanks to Dr Banack and his staff. I hope that the other orthodontists at this clinic aren't as harsh on kids as he was. (478)

So I had avoided going to the dentist for years. When I finally worked up some nerve, I called a number of dental offices, and eventually booked an appointment with this one because the receptionist was warm, patient, and happy to give me as much information as I needed to get past some of my fear. The clinic itself is big and busy. The layout is interesting; it's situated primarily underground, but has sunlights for some natural light. It's clean, and shiny, and has a fishtank, which gives nervous nellie's like me something to focus on. I was booked in with Dr. Al Attar who was utterly patient and gentle with me and explained everything as he did it. The hygienist I saw on my second visit was equally patient and accommodating. I felt supported and cared for and will actually make it back for a six month cleaning, having conquered some of my fear with this clinic. It's not getting five stars because it's still a dental clinic - still expensive for those of us without coverage, and still scary and hard to navigate.
