This is such an important topic that I felt I had to write something about our experience with Dr. Keltz. Aside from chronically long wait times, horrible service from the office staff, and a less than average bedside manner by the doctor himself, this office seriously almost altered the course of my life and put my wife and I to the test. To make a long story short, this place is a factory, and does not care about you. We were told repeatedly that we would need a sperm donor, and that there was no way we would be able to have a pregnancy with our own DNA. I was even put through an unnecessary surgery by the urologist recommended, a very nice doctor, but clearly not a specialist in the fertility field. All this, only to find out when we went to Cornell Weill 3 months later, the doctor told me, "I don't know what they were talking about, you've had sperm the entire time, you've had sperm in every sample you've given us. They must not have looked very hard." Needless to say, we are now 3 months pregnant with twins, thanks to Cornell Weill. If you think you may have any difficulty getting pregnant, do not go to this doctor. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR OR THIS PRACTICE. This is undoubtedly the worst experience I have had in any medical office of all the cities I have lived in. The office is very poorly managed - * my wait time on average was well over an hour * on several appointments that I was asked to make during my treatment, I was asked by the nurses who saw me what services I needed to get done as if they had no prior knowledge of my records * they mis-timed my IUI dates so that one cycle was ineffective (this was after getting me to come in numerous times for multiple ultrasounds to try to get this timing right) * the staff generally were not courteous regarding any requests/questions I asked in person or over the phone. In addition to the poor management of the practice, I found Dr Martin Keltz's manner very difficult - he did not take the time to explain the treatments and was always very rushed, making me feel like any questions were unwelcome. He and the other doctors in the practice were all in and out with no time for explanations and questions. I have switched doctors and have had a far better experience with my new doctor. I wish I had known earlier so I had not wasted time and emotional energy going to this office. I am still trying to sort out a billing inquiry and have spoken to at least 4 people at this office and still getting shifted from person to person. read more

Sincere thank you to Dr. Keltz and the entire Westmed staff. Struggling to conceive is extremely nerve wracking, and you often feel as though something is broken. Dr. Keltz, the nurses, his PA Theresa, and ultrasound technicians made me (and my husband) feel very calm and cared for throughout the entire process - even through the disappointing times. Dr. Keltz took the time to go through the process thoroughly, answer any questions I had, and was open, honest, and realistic. Dr. Keltz is extremely helpful and realistic during the process of IUI and IVF. Throughout it all, he took his time to explain clarifying questions and provide straightforward, direct answers. He doesn't sugarcoat information, and I appreciated his honesty. At the same time, he was caring during this process. Dr.Keltz from the 1rst day listened, advised and put together a plan for me to get pregnant, always thinking in the best for me and my health due to my situation. I can speak with some authority as I work in the medical field. This is absolutely the worst office I've ever been to. Unprofessional, unorganized and inefficient. Dr. Keltz was inappropriate during one of my ultrasounds (had to do procedure twice because he failed to pay attention). It took 5 10 phone calls to actually get my records faxed. The worst experience I've ever had. Over the course of several months we continued to be frustrated by his lack of professionalism. My wife has a complex medical history, and I only expected him to look at her charts before he a pointment, yet not once did he review her history before. Many of his comments were disheartening and confusing. Secondly, he schedules so many before work appointments that women are waiting a 1/2 hour before the building opens. I wasted 4 months with Dr Keltz. The wait time is Not acceptable: The day of IUI, I waited with the sperm sample from 8 to 11 until a nurse took it from me. What the doctor told me was totally inconsistent. One time he said my endometrioma is small and should not affect the fertility; after 1 month, he told me to I cannot get pregnant until I remove the endometrioma . One time he told me to bring my husband for a consultation, but the doctor said he does not need to talk to him when my husband came. I felt luckly that I switched to another doctor who believed I can get pregnant naturally. She told me to keep trying on my own while waiting for next IUI cycle And I am pregnant now! read more

I need to start saying I never write reviews, however, Dr. Keltz's lack of professionalism and unethical nature compelled me to go against my nature and share my experience. I was referred to see Dr. Keltz by default as the other doctor in his practice is on maternity leave. The referral was to gather the opinion of a specialist on the removal of a fibroid. He recommended repeating a saline ultrasound which I already had because he wanted to see it himself. Additionally, he recommended a number of other tests. I went along with the saline ultrasound which was completed by Dr. Keltz, who was rough, lacked empathy, and did not explain what he was doing throughout the test. If you have ever had this test before you already know it is a painful experience, therefore, a gentle hand is key which Dr. Keltz does not have. After completing the test he informed my husband and I that whatever was in there was small and was probably retained product from my D&C with no mention of the fibroid. When asked about the fibroid he replied "Ohh that's right you were here for a fibroid," HE FORGOT. Had my husband and I not mentioned it he never would have remembered. In an effort to cover himself he stated that he know wasn't sure if it was a fibroid or not and that we would have to schedule another saline ultrasound in a month to take another look. When asked what the unknown tissue or fibroid measured at he responded "I don't know but whatever it is it's small." As you can imagine, my husband and I left the appointment upset, shocked, and baffled that a doctor especially a specialist behaved in such a deplorable and unethical manner. We followed up with a new specialist who told us that there was no need for all of the additional tests recommended by Dr. Keltz and that there is no reason a regular ultrasound could not serve to identify whether I indeed had a fibroid or not. Additionally, during our consultation he shared my medical record stated my fibroid had doubled in size when he compared the measurement from my OBGYN to Dr. Keltz's measurement. I almost fell out of my chair because Dr. Keltz never in fact took a measurement he FALSIFIED that information in my medical record. After my new doctor performed a regular ultrasound and measured what he confirmed to be a fibroid he reported the measurement was in line with the measurement taken by my OBGYN which further supported that Dr. Keltz did in-fact fabricate the information he recorded in my file. If I could give this man negative stars I would. I highly recommended finding a reproductive endocrinologist that actually adheres or attempts to adhere to an appropriate code of conduct not one who flat out ignores and violates ethical practice. read more

I was diagnosed with fertility issues by my Gynecologist and I was directed to see Dr. Keltz for treatment as soon as I was ready to get pregnant. I have been seeing Dr. Keltz for a year now and I am extremely grateful for the recommendation and blessed to be under his care. Dr. Keltz is exceptionally knowledgable about his specialty and makes you exceedingly comfortable while discussing treatment options best suitable for each individual patient. He is also able to explain the procedures carefully, so you may understand everything, and eases your fears and anxiety. He is also very gentle and his soothing nature relaxes you during his exam. He immediately alleviated all of my fears of my diagnosis during our initial consultation. He was confident that my pregnancy goal would be reached, and in fact, after he rectified all of my uterine and infertility issues with laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, I GOT PREGNANT IMMEDIATELY!!! He has selected only the BEST staff, and they work amazingly well together. His nurses are equally compassionate and are very, VERY good at their career. They are attentive, diligent and cater directly to the patient. They are sympathetic when Nature overrules Science, and they share your happiness when success prevails!! The facility is in a great location and the examination rooms are always clean, sanitary and comfortable. Copious amounts of supplies and products at your disposal. The most remarkable aspect about Dr. Keltz is his genuinely compassionate and warm demeanor. He is also very social and can be very funny if you are receptive to humor. I would have given he and his staff more stars if it were available because, honestly, I just adore Dr. Keltz and his nurses. Pregnancy and infertility issues are such delicate subjects, and sometimes drawbacks are inevitable, however with his expertise and authentic mannerisms, my experience has been positive and successful. It has been a pleasure being a patient of Dr. Keltz, and I wish to recommend he and his practice to anyone wishing for a healthy, successful pregnancy and ultimately to be blessed with a family! After a horrifying experience with Dr. Keltz and his office I feel compelled to write a review. Those reading I'm sure your in a tough position and trying to conceive but please read my few sentences as I am writing this heart felt. There are many great options out there and RMA should NOT be on your list. They are a stone cold operation who in my opinion do not care about you at all. After keeping us waiting for HOURS after our appointment time we were rush and felt they simply looking to keep the tab going. *Careful with them and their billing department as well, they are very happy to continue to add to your tab so make sure you ask them before they do anything to you. We were sent an invoice unexpectedly for a lot of money when it was our belief we were covered by insurance. But by far the worst of the experience was Dr. Keltz. No sensitivity. No professionalism. I don't know how he's allowed to see patients. It's very troublesome that couples who are looking for help need to sit and discuss their issue with this Doctor. Dr. Keltz knows what he is doing. Of all doctors I went to, I felt like he was most confident in understanding what was wrong and was best able to do my surgery. Other doctors saw scans and said a lot of maybes - he could read scans and assessed what was wrong immediately. He is super careful and meticulous about surgery and took his time, which was important to me. My scars healed very nicely. His staff is very busy, but very friendly and polite. Roosevelt Hospital staff had glowing recommendations for him as well, which was nice to know. He took time to answer all my questions at each of my office visits. Now at WestMed Medical Group in Purchase, NY, we were referred to Dr. Keltz by my OBGYN at WestMed after it became apparent that we would likely face infertility due to my husband's cancer treatment. We were given IVF as our option from the beginning, and from our first appointment through our last, we were treated with kindness, compassion, and encouragement by the entire staff. Dr. Keltz is an expert in his field. He has a calm, witty, and positive demeanor that makes an extremely stressful and overwhelming process bearable. Dr. Keltz's nurses are on top of their game - responsive, helpful, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. They were always able to accommodate my schedule when needed and were always willing to carefully answer my many questions. After months of pre-IVF procedures and work up, then the actual IVF cycle, I became pregnant on the first try! We will absolutely be going back to Dr. Keltz for baby #2 in the future. read more

I went to Dr. Keltz in 2008. After waiting to see the Doctor for a really long time I ran out of there scared and intimidated. After 4 long years I decided to start over and work on my fertility issues. I made it to my appointment on time at 5:00 pm. The receptionist was no where to be found. after waiting for mover 15 minutes she finally showed up. She took my information I gave her my insurance and sat patiently and waited. After waiting for an hour and a half my husband finally got up to see what was going on. The receptionist said that the person doing the intake was not in her office and she would go looking for her. After another 10 minutes she finally appeared. She said we would be next but to be honest this would be appointment one of many appointment's to come. If you like really long waiting times this is your Doctor. I couldn't put myself though this appointment after appointment. I left the Doctor's office at a quarter to seven. The waiting room was full of patients waiting to be seen. read more
