We have been ordering from Next Step off and on for over 3 years now, and our experience has always…read morebeen excellent. We first started ordering after our second child was born and just needed readily-accessible healthy meals. The meals are very fairly priced, and the quality is always great. I'm not saying they are perfect, but no person or business is. The key is that they always make it right in the rare case where there was an issue. Also, their delivery people are always courteous and respectful - in particular Patricia has been so kind to make sure not to ring the doorbell late in case our kids are already in bed. Thank you Next Step! Keep up the good work!

I've been using this company on an off for a couple years. I started ordering from the company…read moreagain about a month ago and have noticed a few things have changed: -There seems to be more sauces I'm not really a fan of. -My fridge smells like whatever sauces or seasonings being used and I'm not a fan of that either. -The containers seem to have a lot more grease at the bottom when the food is gone than before. -The delivery person used to let you know when they were on their way to your house, now they just show up. Even though there's a delivery period of 5.5 hours listed when you order, yes...the old notice that someone was actually on their way was appreciated. -There used to be more vegetables. In one of the meals this week, there were only 6 pieces of vegetables (in the large portion). A week or two ago I complained the potatoes were burned. The company responded to my complaint. This week, there were potatoes in the green chili chicken that weren't cooked thoroughly. I didn't complain this week, because I complained the last time I ordered. But if you can't cook the potatoes without overcooking them or undercooking them, maybe you shouldn't offer them as an option. This week, I sent a message asking what the macros for the steak meal were, but I never received a response. I also included a picture of container not having a label. Their website says "Each meal varies in the number of carbs/protein/macros but are guaranteed to be healthy options. Each meal prep has labels to provided detailed description of the serving size." Aside from the errors in those sentences lol...this is the second time I've had to email the company to get the macros for the labels that weren't on the container...but this time, no one responded. I use this meal service because I used to enjoy the food, the macro labels and to make my life easier. But it doesn't seem like that's the case anymore.

The guy who dropped my meals off said he let his dispatch know and they'd contact me later that day or bring them to me the next day. I never heard from them, I sent them a message from my portal, called, messaged them on instagram. They had no issue charging me the full amount but had every issue actually providing the services I paid for. I'd been thinking about canceling for some time as their food is generally either not seasoned at all or seasoned to the point it's inedible. So this should serve as a warning to others that they don't care about delivering the services you pay for nor is the food good enough to pay for.

This is a life saver for me. And as a picky eater who likes to eat simple, the create your own meals option is perfect. Love the delivery texts that they are on their way or an estimated time of when the food will be delivered. Also shoutout to Angela, not sure if she's a real person or AI, but the Friday text reminders to order my meals saves me often!

Worst part is they have no ingredients listed, which is actually illegal and against FDA rules. No menu or ingredients online either, keeps saying website is down for months lol. I had been passing by Just Great Food for a few weeks and intended to stop by the new bakery. I…read morefinally did a few days ago, and was glad I did. They did not have the buns I needed for dinner, but had some clearly homemade bread available (whole wheat sandwich loaves as well as cheese and olive free-form). I opted to try some of their pastries. I tried a giant white cupcake filled with raspberry chocolate mousse. It was just OK. But the cookies- oh freaking my. The snickerdoodle was scrumptious, and the peanut butter might have been the best PB cookie I have ever had- and my husband agreed. It was huge and soft and still kind of doughy- just what he loves. I also got a giant bar cookie (I can't recall its name) with oatmeal and marbled with fudge and caramel. So, so very good. They also had great looking macaroons, Napoleons, linzer cookies, almond cookies, muffins, and much more. They open at 7:00 am, which is a little late for me. But maybe someday I'll stop in and get a lunch box to go. It looked like they had a great selection of sandwiches. Just Great Food bills itself as an all-occasion and corporate caterer, but they also do personal chef services, holiday dinners, and custom cakes. I asked about timing for cakes, and they request at least a 2-day notice. The storefront is located in a tiny strip mall with a Circle-K near a Sinclair gas station (the one with the dinosaur logo- that's always my landmark). I'll be back to try more of their pastries, and load up on PB cookies for the Hubby-monster at home.

I have done several weeks of this food delivery, averaging 6 meals a week. Off the bat, it beats…read moreout most online non-local services through freshness alone. And 9/10 meals have tasted fantastic (I like trying new things and they don't always meet my flavor preferences.)They deliver meals several times a week to make sure everything is fresh and that is super appreciated. Including all those deliveries, I think the price is very fair in comparison to the online options which deliver once a week. Next, the food selection is very good. There are several types of meats to choose from, ranging from turkey, chicken, beef, fish, and shrimp. And there's always a good amount of veggies for those looking for nutrition. I cycle through different meal options and different meat options quite regularly. Now the only negative I would give them is that their site does not list calories. So if you're in the market for healthy and want to count your calories, as far as I could find, they do not have that listed anywhere.

This is a wonderful local vendor who prepares meals with the consistency and care of a big brand. The food is DELICIOUS, the portions are filling, and the options have tons of variety but also stay consistent week to week. They deliver for free and that is a perk that puts them head and shoulders above everyone else - even takeout from DoorDash! They also offer free text reminders which have been such a wonderful help - each week I order at least a few of their meals as "backups" for when life gets crazy and we have nothing to eat! Their deserts are delightful as well - they taste so bad for you but they're protein based!

I'm in Phoenix for a week as part of a very special trip where I'll be proposing, so I needed to…read moredrop some weight. As such, I was looking for a company to make my meals for me on short notice and without having to sign up for a long term subscription. The guy I talked to, who's definitely the manager or owner of the place (I think his name was Mathew), really took alot of time to talk to me about my health goals and what I want to accomplish, and customized the weight loss meals to my dietary needs. The meals are weighed on a food scale and calorie counted. And you get on a daily or weekly food plan geared towards the goal you're trying to accomplish. For affordable healthy food, it's pretty good. I went into it not expecting a gourmet meal, I went into it expecting something simple and healthy so I can lose weight, and I definitely got what I was looking for.

Hmm, I'm wondering who wrote the five star reviews because the food certainly doesn't warrant it. I…read moregive it three stars because the price is affordable and they have a pick up location that was open on Sunday morning. The food however, was not good. The vegetables were not cooked nor seasoned, the brown rice and mashed potatoes were cooked but not seasoned, and the protein was hit or miss. The ground turkey was seasoned with black pepper and tasty but I also had the chicken which had zero seasoning and no sauce. The chicken was not very good at all, very bland and chewy. I didn't appreciate uncooked vegetables nor did I like how large the zucchini slices were. A meal shouldn't require a knife to eat if it's in a microwaveable container. Speaking of containers, they have no heating instructions nor do they list or circle the ingredients inside. I assume I was eating ground turkey but it wasn't labeled. I also was surprised I didn't receive any meals with fish or tofu. Same with the lack of variety with the vegetables. None of my seven meals had asparagus, green beans, peas, or peppers. Something got lost in translation with the variety. Look at my photos to see what the food and containers looks like. The concept is great and they get a lot of business but it was a miss for me.
