What a great spot! Don't let the outside fool you....this is the spot for birria! We started with margs and chips/ salsa. All were clearly homemade and so good. The chips were warm and salty, and the salsa had lots of fresh onion and cilantro with just the right heat. I had the birria enchiladas, and my friend had the birria burrito. Both were tasty and huge-took half of each home. We sat at the bar and were well taken care of. Good food, and good people. We will be back soon!
Stopped in while visiting a friend in the area over the weekend and was blown away. I had ordered the birria tacos and my wife ordered the birrira bowl, our friend ordered the veggies burrito, a side of rice, and chips & salsa. The service was good, they forgot the side of rice but didn't total the order until we went to pay so no harm no foul. The portions were bigger than expected and the price was decent. The food was great and will definitely be a spot I hit when I'm visiting the area. The inside is small but works for the area.
Martha's opened earlier this summer after being shut for almost a year. Its local family owned and operated. The server was super sweet and attentive. The place is quaint and frill free. They are known for their Birria meat. You can get it in Beef or Chicken. I tried the Birria tacos with chicken and it was lip smacking good. Best I have had in Columbus. They make them fresh and sell out quite often.they run out very quickly so definitely worth going in early. The Nachos were great as well. I tried the Jalapeño margarita and it was outstanding with that little kick of spice. Overall 10/10 you should definitely try them out.
Located next to a beer shop, this store front restaurant doesn't look like much, but the food was outstanding. The service was also excellent. Our waitress was pleasant and courteous, checking on our table often, but not hovering. Two of our party had burritos. They were huge! We each ended up taking more than half home for a second meal. The third person had street tacos, and they came loaded with chorizo. And we were pleasantly surprised to discover they served alcohol. My spicy margarita was delicious. Also, it may seem a strange thing to comment on, but the bathrooms were very clean. I worked in enough restaurants to know this as a good sign the kitchen is equally clean. Highly recommend you give this little place a try.
A friend and I had lunch here at this hidden gem in North Linden. I had the beef Birria tacos x3 and they were heavenly. Probably the best Birria I've had recently in the city. The tortillas were crispy and the beef was tender and flavorful. Dipped in the Birria broth made it even more heavenly. This spot is convenient for dine in and take out. There are several booths and tables as well as a bar to sit at. You can even order an alcoholic drink to accompany your meal for dine in. Dont miss out on this great local family-owned spot!
Wonderful meal. Hubs and I followed Yelp reviews and checked out Martha's today. We started with chips and salsa. These are not complimentary. The salsa has a richly developed flavor that I thought was spicy at first bite but lost its kick by the second bite. The chips were not special. Also available was queso and guacamole. Hubs ordered the Chicken Chimichanga with double beans. The shredded chick was moist and tender with loads of flavor. The HUGE Chimichunga was all chicken. It was topped with ico, sour cream and sat on a tiny bed of lettuce. Hubs gave this meal a 10/10 The pinto beans were whole and not refried. Cooked with chilcostle peppers and onions. The beans had a deep smokey flavor and were delicious. The rice was authentic; cooked in chicken stock and tomato sauce. Delicious! I ordered Pollo Loco. A chicken breast topped with chorizo, sauteed mushrooms and queso. The chorizo gave the dish an enjoyable kick. Served with a side of rice and beans. Also served with a side of corn tortillas. I would rate it an 8/10 because of the spice level and the price. Both meals were large. Neither of us could finish our meals. My favorite was the jalapeno cilantro sauce served table side accompanied by a rojo sauce. I expected heat from the rojo but it was the Verde sauce that gave my rice heat. All pop is sold in bottles. Pricey Can't wait to go back!
First time here and definitely will go back! Service was friendly and helpful for making food choices. Inside dining is minimal but they are adding an outside patio, which will be nice! I ordered the Mulitas which is cheese and Birria in between 2 crispy corn tortillas and served with consome'. It was delicious and I took one home for later. My friend ordered a Birria Chimichanga and I will definitely get that next time!
I stumbled upon Martha's at the beginning of the pandemic and was blown away by the birria Quesadilla. I made the mistake of thinking all birria was this magical, and have wasted more money than I care to admit at other restaurants who are trying to capitalize on the birria trend. I've learned my lesson and now only go to Martha's for my birria fix. If you come here, be prepared to never want birria from anywhere else, it'll haunt your dreams (in the best way).
I feel like we had to wait forever !!! Oh boy was it worth it quaint little spot tucked away on maize rd . Service was quick and friendly . The food was impeccable and we'll definitely be back . The meat was juicy and flavorful . Definitely worth the wait
Found myself driving through Columbus one last time prior to my move to Virginia - had been following this place from afar and seen their place highlighted on IG a few times. Figured I would give it a shot and DAMN am I glad I did. These Birria tacos were TO DIE FOR. Whatever the green salsa that went with was, honestly killer. Straight up drank the leftover consommé because it was just THAT flavorful and delicious. Everything about this was perfect - the best Birria tacos I've had not only in Columbus but ever. And it's not close! Worth a stop and worth the greasy mess :)
Oh man they aren't kidding when they say this is the best birria in the city! Both birria dishes were very flavorful and not too heavy, though we also didn't finish them as the portion sizes are good and we snacked on chips and queso first. Excellent with the guac and consome, make sure you don't miss that as it doesn't come with everything but is to die for. Small place but very clean and recently updated. Mostly booth seating with a few small tables and some bar seats. Easy parking in front and they also have a small outdoor seating area. Good service. Do charge a small credit card fee. Can't wait to come back and try more menu items in the future!

Very heartfelt review. Loved it
The service was great, food came out fast as we stopped there for lunch. The Birria tacos are the most popular dishes I was told. And with that consume, there is no doubt as to why. It's a small space but plenty of to go where you're coming through here while we sat and ate read more

I heard so many things about this place on the book face. So once they opened, I had to come check it out ! They opened about a month ago. They are still working out small kinks such as staffing and so forth, so if you go during peak hours please be patient This newly renovated and newly opened restaurant is located on the north side off maize road...right next to a corner store. I attached a photo of the front to my review. Located next to a corner store and they share a private parking lot! I went on Thursday around 3pm. Only 2 other couples were there, of course I am always solo dolo! Inside is absolutely gorgeous and you can tell newly renovated ! Plenty of seating inside ! A bar up front with seating. I have attached photos of menu and drinks They are still in process of obtaining their liquor license so again, be patient ! The chips and queso were great. Plenty of queso for just me, as I took a bunch home so an order of chips and queso will be sufficient for a 2 person order. I ordered 1 birria taco ($5) along with 3 street tacos however the order did not come out correctly. So instead it was delivered as 1 birria taco and 2 street carnitas tacos ($4 each) . Carnitas were perfectly cooked and the salsa Verde was on point! The birria taco was excellent too! Be prepared with extra napkins for these ones...they are extra juicy and yummy! This has now become my number one #1 sit down taco spot in Columbus!! I am excited for a second visit very soon to try more menu items ! One couple had ordered birria enchiladas I was able to see and they looked fantabulous! Don't walk, RUN to Marthas!! Thank me later read more

Got the chicken birira, the dipping sauce was delicious. The chicken could of been more tender BUT it was still good.. my rating is regarding service. The lady that took my order was so clear and fluent when she was talking to the other customers but when it came to me she act like she couldn't speak effing English she was all huh and pointing at shet and just acting like she didn't understand me but she was chipper happy and fluent with the other folks.... read more

I apologize for your experience. I will definitely talk to her about…
If you're looking for a hole in the wall Mexican reataurant, this is the place! So much so, that last time I was here signs for Bella's pizza were all over the place. However, don't let that deter you from the food here! I came upon this as a recommendation from some friends who moved here from San Diego. Considering how great the Mexican food from SD is, I knew this had to be on my list. I came for birria tacos and also got some carne asada tacos, cause why not. The birria came with a consume, as one'd expect, and both were flavorful and delicious. I have to admit it was missing a bit of oomph but I can't exactly place what I thought it was missing. Again, my expectations may be a bit higher so it was honestly very good all factors considered. The carne asada tacos were also great, lots of meat and flavor for not too much money. Def gave me the Mexican street taco experience I wanted. If you're in the mood for some great Mexican food, make the trip out to the East side of town and try Martha's! Its worth the trip imo read more

Thank you so much for choosing us!
This is a hidden gem type of restaurant. It is a very small place, so seating can be tough as I read on other reviews and that's why we did an order to go. I wish we could dine in because tacos and nachos are best when eaten right away, but did not want a long wait, especially on a Friday evening. The order was ready to pickup on arrival. The beef birria tacos were really good and the consumé was great too! The tacos are huge and filling. We could not finish more than two tacos. I wish the taco shell was a little crunchier in texture. The nachos were okay, it was missing lettuce and some heat, which could have been from a sauce and jalapeños. I would get the tacos again. read more
Martha's Kitchen has been on my mind for several weeks. I placed an order this past Friday and since everything sounded good I ordered quite a bit of food! HIGHLY recommend calling in your order well ahead of time; my order took about 40 minutes to be ready. There were also several people waiting in the cars. Could have been just because it was Friday evening though. I got the mulitas and pastor tacos. I was also talked into buying an Apple soda at pickup by the young lady working the counter. The food was soooooooo good. And it was a ton of food for just $17. The mulitas are decent size and the tacos are loaded with ingredients so just one is fairly filling. The consume comes with the mulitas and it's a decent size as well. Definitely recommend if you're looking to try out a variety of birria dishes or even if you're just looking for some good Mexican food in the area! read more
Found out a birria spot was within walking distance from my place so of course I had to check it out. I was not disappointed. We ordered online and picked it up inside about 30 mins later. The restaurants isn't anything impressive, it's actually an old pizza shop so there's a counter and a few tables. It actually still has all the signage of Bella's Pizza but it should be changing. Martha's offers a variety of items, we ordered birria tacos, nachos, burrito, chips and chorizo queso. We enjoyed all of our food and even had some leftovers. I will say that some of the menu items seemed to be on the pricier side but with the portions, I'd say it was fair. I'll definitely be back to try more menu items. Such a nice addition to the neighborhood read more

Martha's Fusion is the real deal when it comes to Mexican food. Oh my goodness I have been to Mexico and in San Diego and she is on point. Her service is quick. She is very prompt and polite. The dining area is small and clean, she also has a mini bar to sit at. It's definitely a local hidden gem and thanks to Yelp I have found it when passing through Columbus for a conference. read more

Well we tried Martha's today for lunch and OMG I could have cried into my consomé IT WAS FABULOUS! I did a little research before I went as it was my first time trying Birria tacos. Seemed to be many think Martha's is the best so we will go with that! I didn't realize how small the restaurant is and was lucky enough to get a sit down seat for me and my toddler! There are 2 low 4 tops and maybe 3(?) high tops I didnt see how many stools each had. Luckily they even had a high chair for us. My daughter was having a rough day and got a little boisterous when we were trying to get situated and when another diner got her food, she offered some fries to us to help calm her shortly after the girl running the counter arrived with MORE life-saving fries! The sweetest and smallest gesture that turned out being a lifesaver until our food arrived. On to our food. As I mentioned, we came for Birria tacos and they were incredible! I couldn't believe the flavor and complexity of flavor! I'm hooked for sure. We also got the shrimp street tacos and they were also phenomenal. The two balanced each very other well. We hot the choriqueso with chips and that was really good too. We went ahead and dumped some on my daughter's "paci-friers" (get it pacifier and fries) for some drama! While we were eating the beautiful girl running the show said "we have homemade coconut milk" so I was like sure.. AMAZING! Seriously so good and refreshing to counteract all the bold flavors coming from the tacos. To round it all out we took flan home along with all the leftovers. I always order as to have leftovers plus the 2yo needs a nap. In fact, as I write this, maybe a siesta is in the works for me too Thank you so much for a great meal and pleasant interactions with both staff and other restaurant guests alike! See you next time!! read more
