Dr. Diaz's husband is extremely rude and not willing to work with other offices in regards to patient care.

The staff here is polite and professional, but unfortunately, that's where the positives end. This…read morefacility seems far more focused on securing payment than providing actual patient care. Before you even speak to a dentist, you're prompted to purchase a membership--almost like admission to receive basic treatment. They also insist on scanning and storing your credit card "just in case" insurance doesn't cover something, which feels less about convenience and more about financial control. What truly stood out was being required to pay for services before even seeing the doctor. When I offered to pay after the appointment, as most reasonable patients do, I was denied service altogether. Apparently, financial assurance takes priority over patient comfort or trust. I was told repeatedly that the doctor would "do everything she said," and I simply asked for the same courtesy--that they trust I would pay once services were rendered. Refusing to provide care because a patient won't hand over unrestricted access to their financial information is, frankly, unethical. I can't speak to the quality of the dental work since I never got that far--but the disregard for patient respect and privacy was loud and clear. If you're comfortable exchanging your financial privacy for a basic filling, this may be the place for you. Otherwise, I'd recommend finding a clinic that values patients over payments.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ Only go here if you…read moreare RICH!!! Sadly, I have to join the group of people who feel a bit scammed by the office. This is further proven by the fact that they were ADAMANT that I owed 600$ above my max payout of dental insurance. However, when I reminded them that I came in with a flyer that said $150 for a whole bunch of the stuff they had billed my insurance for and gotten WAY more than $150, suddenly, I was in the mid $300 owed. I reached out to my dental insurance and found out they are charging more than the norm and the insurance covers the norm. Most offices, will write off the difference knowing the higher price is ridiculous anyway. However, they seem to feel quite justified that the VIBE of the office, the little touches like pens, cookies for a company anniversary will be what keeps people coming back. This is true if you are only interested in working with the rich and fabulous. However, if you wish to work with regular people who have kids in college, mortgages to pay, and other economical needs then paying more for some silly gimmicks is marketing, not BETTER DENTAL CARE. I liked both Drs. I honestly only had negative experiences with the front desk staff. The dental care was not ANY better than I used to received at Family Dental Care in South Chicago. I honestly am upset at myself for not reading these reviews first. Lastly, I am SHOCKED that the office replied with someone's XRAY's that is a total HIPPA violation, or at least completely unethical at best!! Shame on you. Totally unprofessional.

Horrible Service. The office manager is the worst one. No Empathy, no compassion. My daughter has…read morebeen a patient with them since a minor. She just turned 18 in March 2024 but is a College student and is still being carried under my insurance. They immediately put me out of the room because she was 18 by the time I was able to come back in they had already had her sign a treatment plan before she even talked to the Dentist and of course she couldn't repeat anything they had just told her. She was referred to a specialist for a root canal. Went to the specialist and my daughter paid $367 out of pocket and it hurt to bad so they never even did the root canal. Told her she would have to go back to her dentist to have it pulled. She scheduled another appointment with Family Dental for the extraction. Only to show up and be told she had to pay $155 up front because they were not able to verify her insurance. She asked them why they couldn't verify it right then and they told her it would take time. I came in an asked the same thing and the office manager told me because she has other patients.......Huh? The office was complexly empty besides us and one patient that was in the chair. She also got mad because we wouldn't take that answer and started acting like I was treating the office staff bad and asked me to lower my voice like I was yelling. She also suggested that we find somewhere to else to go and we did exactly THAT!!! And had no issues by the way. I have filed a complaint with both my insurance companies and DO NOT recommend that you come here. It such a shame because Dr. Villa really is a very sweet man.
