Great food, cheap prices…read more We stopped by here and got 3 burgers(2 specials and 1 salmon burger) and a large fry for about $27 US. Which so far is our cheapest meal in Copenhagen and gave us a large amount of food. We also got some extras added to our order on the house. The owner seems to run the shop on his own and is extremely friendly. His hospitality and generosity along with the food has made this meal the favorite of our trip.

I've eaten at a lot of restaurants in Copenhagen and I have to say that MAOBAO is in my top 10. It…read morebegan as a pop-up and is now a permanent dinner spot inside Sidecar (another favorite cafe) from Tuesday - Sunday evening. If you're a tourist and are looking for the best local foodie spots in town, head to MAOBAO. I have yet to try everything on the menu but my top items so far are: Hong Kong Pulled Pork Bao 5/5 Pork & Shrimp Chili Wontons 5/5 Duck Breast & Cashew Cream 5/5 I've also tried the Chicken & Garlic Chive Dumplings, Celeriac Bao, and Ice Cream Bao, which are all delicious but the above 3 were by far the top contenders. If you're feeling wild, they also offer a 7-course chef's menu for 310/person. Prices are standard for Copenhagen, I just wish they didn't charge for tap water. Already planning my next visit!

MAOBAO, where art thou?…read more The only bad thing about this place is that they're never around when you're having ultimate craving for fluffy white bao with pork fillings and peanut crumblings on it. No, seriously bro - what's an Asian girl got to do here to have an easy access to those divine baos? I have tried baos here and there, but MAOBAO wins the fluffiest bao competition hand down although the fillings can be better varied, but I ain't complaining here. With the price of 60 kr for two baos, it's a little bit steep everywhere else but Denmark (well, maybe not Norway but I am not even sure if there are baos up there in the arctic circle) but I would definitely shut up and let them take my money. For now, I would just have to stalk them on social media to find out where they're going to appear next.

Used to love their poke bowls, but they've become extremely expensive with smaller portions and…read moretoday some of the ingredients didn't feel as fresh as they are usually. 1 poke bowl with an extra topping of fish (+45kr) ended up costing 180kr. There was barely a full meal in there and the bowl wasn't even half full. And there was barely more than 100 g fish in the entire bowl, even though it was supposed to be twice the amount as in a regular bowl. On top of that, there wasn't anyone tending shop when I walked in - all the staff was in the back room chatting for a while until they heard me take a menu in the completely empty restaurant. And I was unable to pay with cash since they didn't have enough paper money in the register. If I hadn't brought my card I would've left hungry and empty handed. Very disappointed.

The menu isn't large, but our party of 5 covered a good portion of it and everyone enjoyed their food. Their fish and chips is quite good. And most of us had the field greens salad which was much more substantial than we expected. Really tasty combo of greens, cabbage, and edamame with a tasty sesame dressing. The staff were friendly and helpful. Definitely a good spot for a laid back and reasonably priced meal.

I give this place 5 stars because it was (no question) the best durum kebab I have had in Denmark…read moreso far. I am therefore rating only the durum kebab I got and nothing else. Fast order, pleasant shawarma master, clean display, clean interior, nothing to complain about. The durum wrap itself was really delicious, baked after I ordered. Meat had a very good flavour with a lot of spices dominating the taste which is correct for my taste (since it's in most cases lamb which has a very strong odour). They added some salad, tomatoes, pickled cabbage, onions and some jalapeños along with a creme fraiche dressings and my durum kebab was ready. Price was 39DKK which is probably slightly more than other shawarma bars around Norrebro but totally okay with me and it is worth it. Since I am in the area quite often, I will most likely be back very fast. That was my first time at this place and certainly not last.

It was too early when I went so I only got the chili cheese tops, a curry sauce and a small Coke Zero - and when they say small, they mean tiny - like the equivalent to a water cup in the states.
