In this area, this location is considered to be the most well put together location. Which I have to agree with. Each time I have been in here the store is well stocked, and it was one of the few stores that I have not seen a cart with product on it in the middle of an aisle. Along with that the shelves are mostly stocked correctly with the items that are supposed to be there. Staff are generally nice. They make the lines go fast if there is one at the front of the store. They seem to know generally where the items are in the store. Generally, in this area, this seems to be a great addition as there is not much in the Hastings area for shopping. A great addition that is well used.

Honestly, from the outside, this looks more like a strip mall than a 'Mall'. We walked in the…read moreetrance marked Dubois Mall between Big Lots and Ross and sure enough, it's a 'Mall'. Besides anchor stores Ross and Big Lots, there is a large J.C.Penney. The interior public areas are quite wide, with high ceilings. An average sized Bath & Body works and GNC are located in this section of the mall while many of the other businesses are smaller 'mom and pop' type businesses including a kitchen store, a craft store, a remodeling business and HW Book Peddlers to name a few. Wandering down toward J.C. Penney, there is a wide, bare hallway that looks like a dead end. Being of a curious nature, I wandered down there to find another section of the mall. Not as big, it runs parallel to the other section and J.C. Penney is also accessible from here. The mall office is located off this corridor and in front of this was a display of moving dinosaurs! That was a fun surprise.This section includes DuBois Cafe, Uzi's Pastries, two recruiters, Claire's and a nail salon plus more. Like many malls in America, this one is hanging on; not the haven it was in the 80's or 90's. The anchor stores are definitely worth stopping in to visit, and there are several discount stores of one type or another scattered throughout worth a look. That McNulty's looks like a childs heaven with all the stuffed animals! One area is set aside with arcade games. A few other game machines are scattered throughout the mall as well as several soda machines. Empty shop windows have been painted with cartoon characters which is festive. The wide hall ways make a nice space to stretch your legs on a cold, rainy day. There is lots of parking and a fair number of mall entrances. You can easily spend an afternoon window shopping. Who knows you may, like us, find a couple of items to buy. Then stop by the cafe for a snack or meal and walk off the calories or sit on a bench and do a bit of people watching. There are also several other businesses that share the parking lot including a restaurant and a movie theater. I understand the beginning of the Beaver Meadow Trail starts somewhere near the Mall. They've also replaced some of the staff now it seems like they all are there to help when it's needed. Although the store may not be as cheap as Walmart they are a very close second. Stopped in this very cute parent-teacher store on athe way through PA to Columbus OH for a business…read moretrip (with my wife and 5 YO son). Good selection, very nice lady at the register (owner?) who is an ex-teacher. we got some note pads, a stopwatch, some presents for my son's teacher, and other educational items. When we went (December 2010) they were having a 50% off going out of business sale, so call first to see if they are still in business before you go. I would consider this a 3-star establishment.

And being a Yelper, I had to leave my review of this place. Be sure to go to the location on Philadelphia Street as this is the thrift store, while the other spot is salvation army. It's located in a strip mall so parking is really easy. I recommend bringing a mask as it was a bit dusty in there. It's pretty organized. I mainly shop the home decor and they definitely had some nice jams. The clothing racks have good selection as well. I found a vintage green plaid Pendleton blazer for four dollars. Can't wait to wear it this Christmas. I even introduced my friend to thrifty and she bought a milk glass vase and a textured smaller gray white vase. I bought some porcelain pieces, milk glass vase, and some Christmas decor. They don't have much of a furniture selection, but maybe you'll find something for you. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in the area.
