2027 can't come soon enough. Cranberry Wegmans opens…read more On a business trip, put in a bakery order several days ahead of time. Being able to pick up my (large) bakery order and not leaving someone disappointed at home makes me happy. Had my list of must haves. I meandered through all the departments. Wasn't on a time schedule. I spent 2 hours in the store. Found beautiful baby lamb chops. Filets were $6/lb cheaper than my grocery store. Bought beautiful endive. Had to bring home the red wine peppered salami. Coming home, opening the cooler, and handing out foodie presents is like Christmas morning. The oohs and aahs were heard at multiple houses. The staff were very helpful finding my treasures. Wegmans trips make traveling for business worth it.

How this Wegmans location has sunken…read more.. Back before they dedicated a significant chunk of store to alcohol, they had a pretty nice tea nook and natural section. It used to be somewhat "fun" to shop here, and the international corner had more variety. Parts of the latter have been gutted and somethings dispersed back into the regular aisles. Everytime you walk by the alcohol section, whatever dutiful lady theu have standing guard of the section, has to eyeball me like surely that's surely where I must be heading. Should not feel the need to mention, but I could not care less about drinking, and even if I did, I wouldn't come here for that. When I was younger and working grocery for peanuts at a mediocre grocery chain that wasn't known for such above average employee benefits and environments than precious Wegmans, our crews had good attitudes while still being human. Somehow, the employees at Wegmans have a general blend of apathy, misery, and barely tolerance. I remember one instance I had to go in there soon after a family tragedy, two days without sleep, stress, through the roof and a chronic medical condition dragging me down worse than usual, and I still did my best to be pleasant and polite to a cashier who was literally talking to me like she hated my guts, like I had just wronged her entire family for years, while moving my items like it took every fiber of her being to not slam each one down in the bag. No idea what that was about, as the people in front of me got no such treatment. It's not as if i was wearing my own feelings in my sleeve. I would've been let go on the spot for displaying a fraction of the attitude while I was making a fraction of their wage, this young woman was flat out being abusive. I've never even seen a teenager act out in such a way to a complete stranger. It was so bizarre. We used to have such pleasant interactions with the employees here, and we'd even sometimes plan our hour away trips to thr area around coming to this store. Now it's tacked when it's absolutely neccesary, and we see it as a chore to even run in for a couple things, a mild dread usually reserved for Walmart. The level of the self importance vibe of the people who still shop here who act like they're in some high end metropolis in a hurry and everyone else is just cattle in their way is so thick. The thing is, it doesn't even make sense. Wegmans (at least this location) has very few things that make it exclusive anymore. It is reduced to a status symbol store in so many ways, without the goods and services to back it up. Because they still have people playing chef for Safeway deli / mall caliber food? Get me out of here.

He, for no particular reason, seems to be into hitting up loads of grocery stores. Honestly, is this what I have to look forward to when I get older? I truly hope not. This is what your typical neighborhood grocery store would look like if you were searching for a definition. It's not all that big, but big enough to provide items for the community it serves. So much so that if you were searching for any of the items listed in the weekly sale, you'd be out of luck. This community must live and die by this store as all the items that were listed for sale were all snatched up. Not a single one left on the shelves. Customers could use a little update on what it is like to be polite as they will either walk in front of you and block what you are looking for, or just plain old not acknowledge that there are other people in the world. I don't know how many times I went to either look for or grab an item and the same lady just happened to rush through or to stand in front of me. At one point I actually said something to her to get out of my way in not so polite wordage. Then we got to the front of the store to check out. YIKES! What a bottlenecking mess. I mean this is by far the worst check out line I had been in in a while. There are multiple registers, but only two were open. Ones that face each other as one looks like it serves as customer service/tobacco products and one that was a regular checkout. We get in line for the one that is not for customer service and it appears that it irritated the lady working the register. To the point that she basically yelled to everyone in line that the other register was open. Yes, we can see, but you, with your glasses, must not have been able to see. There were already two ladies in the line with massive orders. They were going over every item to scrutinize what they bought and then they were paying by check. So yeah, we know the other line was open, but by observing what was in front of us we knew that your line would still be faster. Did it still take forever, yes. Were we out of there before the two ladies in the other line, yes. But to have to deal with attitude from someone that had to do work was not pleasant.

The aisles were packed with people everywhere making it hard to shop for a particular item you may have wanted. I wanted to browse the gift card section for a bit, since I was going to be buying a gift, why not buy a gift card here to use where I was going. It was kind of like ninja moves here as everyone else seemed to be having the same idea as me. I had to move carts to look as other entitled people thought they were the only ones looking and it was their right to put their cart wherever they pleased. I finally found a gift card for a store I was going to be going to that day. Went to the front self service checkouts and proceeded to start to check out. Giant Eagle is one of the few places that allows you to purchase a gift card with a Giant Eagle gift card. I was doing just that. Well I hit a snag. I ended up doing my thing at the anti-social-registers and it made me have to go to a register to deal with an employee. Fine, whatever. When I was redoing my transaction with the employee she told me that I was just lucky enough to pick one of the few gift cards that don't let you use the self checkouts. Yay, I must of hit the lottery. After my transaction was done I wanted to use the restroom here before heading onto my next stop, but just my luck they were being cleaned. No matter what I wanted to do in here I hit a snag.

They have a wide variety of drinks and snacks. The flow was good as the aisles are decently sized and although we were only there for about 30 minutes the customer base was cool, even when the power went out for 10 seconds. If we actually lived here this would be our store. It's not overly expensive and it literally has everything.
