I've been an HR BLock customer for years. Paid them a small fortune. I have a MyBlock account. Use…read moreit every year to file my taxes. I cannot this year because after I filed last year I dropped one of my telephone numbers--the one associated with my HrBLock account. So when I try and log in I am told I have to verify myself. I choose my email. I get a code. I enter the code in. Then it says I need to verify myself in an additional way. Are you following where this is going? If so you guessed it. It requires me to get a use the old telephone number I no longer have to get another code for a second verification. I'm stuck. So I have called HR Block several times. They are clueless. I have tried the AI Assistant. It is dumb as the rest of them. So today I just called and was finally told what I have already realized--I am forever locked out of my account and no longer have access to previously filed tax returns in there or the ability to import this massive amount of data from their system to start this year's tax returns. Instead they only option I have according to them is to create another account with another email address and telephone number. Why would I continue doing business with HR Block and set up another account? I wouldn't. I won't. They obviously outsource their IT to people who only do what you tell them to do and cannot think about how to logically define requirements to b uild their systems. But at least they got a cheaper way to build a useless system.

It said click on a date. I did. It said click on a time. I did. I got a text 2 seconds later saying my appointment is confirmed. Making the appointment is 80% of the stress so let me tell you how Absolutely amazing I felt to click two buttons. I take my info to H&R. Check in and maybe 4 min later, on time, I was called back to speak with Patricia. Patricia was prob good to retire in the next year or two I'm sure. * I quickly noticed her 35 year plaque on the wall. Impressive! I was pleased to have her help me out as I was clueless. Itemizing, daughter in college, stimulus. It's too much for my little brain, and Patricia was Heaven sent. Such a polite, kind and helpful person. I will return for as long as she is there. From making the appointment, to working with Patricia, I feel like I hit a homerun. Don't change a thing!
