I had an absolutely terrible experience with Frye & Company, CPAs, especially with Mark Frye. From…read morethe very beginning, communication was a disaster--disorganized, chaotic, and completely unprofessional. Not only did they fail to properly handle my documents, but they also blamed me for their own lack of organization. Mark Frye was not just rude--he yelled at me, called me dumb and stupid, and displayed completely unacceptable behavior. It's clear that this man has serious anger management issues and should not be dealing with clients. Additionally, I wanted to file both my corporate and personal taxes, and instead of helping me, he kept insisting that I had to handle the corporation separately for no logical reason. Even worse, he told me that I should change my S-Corporation to an LLC because, according to him, an S-Corporation is "no good"--without giving me any valid reason or explanation. Clearly, he has no idea what he's doing and doesn't understand how to properly manage accounting. The worst part is that after all of this unacceptable treatment, he told me he was going to send me a $5,000 bill just for speaking with me on the phone twice. This is outright abuse and a scam. If you are looking for a serious, professional accountant who treats you with respect, stay far away from this firm. Not only will they waste your time and money, but they will also treat you in the worst way possible. There are far better options that actually know how to treat their clients with the seriousness and professionalism they deserve.

Drove from WDC to Haymarket, VA and arrived 15 minutes early for the confirmed appointment. Unfortunately, there was absolutely no response upon arrival. Multiple phone calls were placed, several text messages were sent, and attempts were made at the location with three doorbell rings and two knocks on the door. No answer. No communication. No follow-up. Very unprofessional and extremely disappointing experience, especially after taking the time to travel (30+ miles in rush hour traffic) for a confirmed appointment.

Rodney was prepared for me when I arrived--he had a folder that was labeled with my name and set up the scenario to maximize my discount potential. He also explained how each discount works and confirmed that I was interested before moving forward. Rather than setting things up himself and sending me a bill, he took the time to include me and make sure that I was comfortable with the situation. I also appreciated that Rodney took the time to educate me on the difference between different coverages and the prices. For example, it ended up being a negligible amount more to lower my deductible from $1,000 to $500 a year--something that is helpful if I am ever found at fault for an accident! I highly recommend Rodney Barredo and his staff for anyone looking to set up new insurance or switch carriers. He presented the best ways to save me money, which is always awesome. Finally, I appreciated his customized, friendly approach and am glad to be working with him!
