My husband and I came to her in a bit of a panic after waiting until the last minute to get his suit altered--he had recently lost 30 pounds and it was huge on him. On top of that, I also needed two dresses tailored. We dropped everything off on a Tuesday and needed them back by Friday. Mrs. Kim worked absolute magic. Not only did she finish everything on time, but the quality of her work was phenomenal. The 'ajuma' working there is very stern and to the point, but she knows what she's doing. I had a suit tailored at Unique Tailor on Mockingbird and only got to wear it once before the arm ripped from where they tailored it. I didn't have time to drive from Carrollton to Mockingbird again, so I took my chance at Marsh Tailor. The lady was very helpful and found a lot of poor 'shortcut's' taken by Unique and fixed all of them. She had to get more material to let out the armpit area and made it look like it was meant to be that way. She's not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and it's done right the first time. I wish I could remember her name...she is next to the gas station by the Dominos Pizza...so nice, easy, and everything is done in a week. All my jeans, and dresses...look perfect. I lost a ton of weight and some pieces i did not want to part with...no problem. Or I would find stuff on sale, it was too long but fit great everywhere else...hem! She is pricey compared to a dry cleaner if you just need a zipper or something simple...but for original hems and proper lines....and she will tell you if she cannot do something or if it is going to cost more than it is worth...you cannot beat this place. If I could give this place zero stars,I would! 10/10 would NOT recommend this place! By far the worse tailoring experience I've ever had. Dropped my tuxedo off on a Saturday, was told that it would be ready the following Saturday. I needed the tux for a wedding that following week. I wasn't in town that weekend so I figured I'd pick up that Tuesday (she's closed on Sunday and Monday). That Tuesday morning, she tells me that it'd be ready at 5pm (no problem), then she texted back and asked if I could pick it up the following day (I explained that I had an early flight for the wedding the next day). She asked if I could pick it up at 7pm(I didn't care what time, as long as I had the tux before leaving). She never responded to my calls or texts on that Tuesday evening which resulted in me missing my flight and the wedding. When I went to talk to her about it, she was unapologetic and created lies that she had called and texted me but couldn't prove it! Then she proceeds to tell me that she wished she would've never taken by business. She is unprofessional and lacks accountability! read more

I am new to Dallas and was nervous about trying someone new for a bridesmaid dress, but she did a GREAT job - fits perfectly. A friend with a great fashion style referred me to this shop so I already felt comfortable bringing my clothing to Marsh Tailor. I had jeans, terry tracksuit pants and a pair of khaki's hemmed. The hems were exact and she matched the stitching perfectly. My Seven Jeans are heavily stitched and was surprised that she matched it so well. This tailor is very close to home and we have had several items hemmed. The most recent was a ball type gown made out of something that felt like velour. I came here a couple months ago for her to do a bridesmaids dress for me and she did great. Then I went to her for my wedding dress and she did AMAZING! Her hands are magical I highly recommend. A little more expensive than some other places but 100% worth it. She was able to hem my dress, make the chest area tighter, and add a bustle. This is the first time I have used this tailor. This morning I called Marsh Tailor and asked if it was possible to have a pair of pants hemmed up and completed by this afternoon (same day service). The lady I spoke to said she could do it so I took the pants in - and brought an extra pair for the same purpose. When I returned to get the pants, both were ready timely and were hemmed professionally. You have to pay in advance but the service was friendly and prompt. Just returned from there...I am furious. I just moved to Carrollton so I had to find a place that was closer and after seeing the reviews on Yelp I decided to try it. It is right down the street, BUT I am a petite girl and bought a jacket that fits nicely except the sleeves were too long. I had a conversation with her when I was there about how I lost my job and just got an offer and I am going to CA to meet the CEO. She pinned the sleeves and charged me $19 so I gave a $4 tip. I get there today she doesn't even ask if I want to try it on and she tells me she charged me the wrong amount she recalculates how much it should have been and it was $10.32 more. I am a nice person that always gives good tips but at this point I really wanted to have her deduct that tip from the now $10.32 balance but of course I did not. I just feel this was wrong especially when I don't even have a job. $31 for taking the small size 2 jacket sleeves up a couple of inches? It also makes me angry because I didn't even pay $30 for the jacket because it was super discounted but very nice. I understand people make mistakes but considering that I was a new customer and jobless at the moment I think she should not have asked for the difference. I will not be going back. read more

this lady is awesome. i brought some dress pants in i needed done for a wedding two day before i needed them and she did a fantastic job and didnt charge me anything extra for a rush. while she was tailoring some pants i got to talking with her and she has been in the business for 26 years and her work shows it!!! prices are reasonable, great hours and super super sweet lady. she literally can take anything and make it look/fit better then you could imagine. completely changed my shopping habits because now i could care less how something fits, i just find the color and fabric i like thats inexpensive and know this lady will make them look like i paid a million bucks. high recommend!! read more
