Our boat was vandalized by raccoons and our insurance would not pay for it to be repaired. On top of that, this occurred in May, right before boating season. We took our boat to Marsh Brothers. Not only did they repair EVERYTHING (including upholstery), they replaced some things better than what we had, they were in CONSTANT contact with us during the entire process, and our boat was spotless clean (just like when we bought it). Because our insurance wouldn't pay, they kept the costs low--much lower than we expected to pay. They also checked to make sure everything worked and they did all of this with a timely fashion--we still have months of boating season left! Took our boat in and ask them to winterize it and to store it for the winter, instead what they did was left it outside uncovered. In the spring when we got it back it would not start and the trailer we asked them to fix was still broken. When we called them and voices are concern, we were met with horrible customer service, even to the point where they were cussing at us on the phone! So we took our boat back to have them fix it so at the very least it would turn on. The first person we met was nice and apologetic, but with in a min or so a second person (who I was told was the owner) came around the corner yelling a cussing at us! After about 15 min of dealing with this very mean and rude owner they finally said they would make sure it turns on... After about an hour of waiting we got our boat back and was met with physical threats of harm from the owners son! So to sum up, we left with a boat that would barley turn on (because it was left outside all winter un-winterize) and a broken trailer. I'm still trying to figure out why they charged us over $500 for there services (which we didn't even get any type of a refund). I do not recommend this place unless you want poor customer service, to pay for services that were never rendered and don't care for the safety of your self and loved ones! They are not communicative about the price for repairs. I was quoted $350 to fix my pontoon. It cost $900. Every year I have stored my boat with them, it has come back to me the beginning of next season, not working. This year, 4 other people at the park where I am who had their boats with March Brothers, had the exact same problems with their boats that I did. The Minnkota engine they sell is garbage. They are rude and uncommunicative. Also, they returned my pontoon stating it worked, after OVERcharging me to replace parts that turned out were not bad. Two of the batteries had no water in them b and now have burned up after hooking them up to the charger on the day they delivered it. At the end of last season, we paid them quite a bit of money to winterize and clean our pontoon. Our pontoon was in great working order when they got it. Ordered $2500 worth of aqua tread vinyl flooring, it was received defective so i called Marsh bros and started the process for warranty replacement this was on 11/11/17 it is now 1/10/18 and to this second i have yet to receive even a call from them, i have reported them to the mfg, the BBB and am in the process of retaining a lawyer to sue!!! We purchased furniture and carpet for our Suntracker pontoon boat in April 2012 for a total of $4500.00 and installed everything by summer by ourselves. The furnishings are still beautiful and look great, however the carpet is deteriorating. We replaced all the flooring and used the adhesive we purchased with the carpet and followed all the instructions to install it correctly. We have kept it covered throughout the rainy season and were very surprised to see it ruined last summer 2016 when we uncovered the boat. We use a leaf blower to blow the dust off the carpet and furnishings before wiping down after being covered, but this year the leaf blower blew off pieces of rotted carpet. I don't think the carpet should go bad in such a short period of time, especially since we bought marine carpet. When we purchased this boat used, the carpet was the original carpet from 1994 and it was definitely worn but it was 18 years old. I sent pictures of the entire boat so they could see what happened to the carpet and how nice the rest of the boat looked. Marsh brothers responded with warranty expired and they had no issues with the carpet in the past so it was our loss. They asked for pictures which we provided. We are very disappointed and felt customer service wasn't a priority. We now need to replace the carpet and remove all the furnishings in order to replace the carpet again. We don't suggest carpet be purchased from Marsh Brothers dba Pontoon Specialists, poor quality. Carpet and adhesive cost $350.00 of the $4500.00 spent. read more
