Thankfully due to reliability issues with the previous irrigation company that we'd used we had to find a new company. Carlos showed us how the main irrigation pipe was installed at an angle and basically the irrigation back flow valve was forced into the PVC pipe and the possibility of it cracking under pressure and flooding our basement was extremely high. Carlos did a perfect job of fixing that and solved any other small issues with our irrigation system which is now working perfectly. Scope of Work: I found the company's business card in my mailbox or under my doormat and wanted to support a local small business. I was in need of landscaping for our new home, including mulching, trimming, and weeding. 2. Issue Arises: Roughly two weeks after Mr. Larin and his team finish the job, we noticed that the varieties of mint that we planted in our garden had been (incorrectly) removed. Rather than take ownership and apologize, Mr. Larin's wife accused me of lying about the mint - only to later ask why I didn't alert them to the mint (that I apparently never had in the first place!). Doh. 3. One Month Review: I was prepared to take this one on the chin and never use the company again. But one month later the job, a massive infestation of weeds returned (which essentially sent us back to square one). Yesterday, another contractor giving us a quote for another project made an offhand comment that we needed weeding done (of course we do!). But he was surprised to hear that we paid over $2k for this work the month prior. He believes the team either did not hand pull the weeds from the root or did not lay down a herbicide etc. to prevent regrowth, but explained that both steps were "a no-brainer." Conclusion: I'm hoping this unfortunate saga (including dozens of texts and money wasted) can help someone out there! Consider finding a landscaper who stands by their work, puts their clients first, and goes the extra mile not to earn a quick buck but rather earn a client for life!

Brad Harris, the owner, came out and talked with us to see what we wanted and to take measurements and discuss materials. He promptly sent us a proposal by email. We were not ready to move forward immediately and before we could set a date we were contacted again by Brad. He had paving stones left over from previous jobs and sent us a photo to ask if we liked them -- and told us that he would give them to us for free to save us a little money. This is typical for this company. They are always striving to provide a great product at the least cost for the customer. At the end of July we were ready to have the patio installed and Brad and his crew showed up on time and ready to go. They do one job at a time and stay until your job is done. Unlike some other companies, they do not disappear for days at a time to work on another job while your job is half done. They are very professional and have a huge trailer to carry their equipment. Brad and his crew are always ready for the unexpected. When digging up the old patio they discovered there was a cement slab beneath the bricks. A lot of companies would tag on extra charges for something like this but not Tranquility Outdoors. They had a jackhammer and busted up the concrete and added it to the debris to be carried off. The completed patio is absolutely beautiful. They used surveying equipment to get the tilt perfect so that rain would run off one side. It is such a slight tilt you would need the surveying equipment to know it's even there. The stones are laid in a beautiful pattern and look like they were part of the original landscaping. They scattered seed and covered it with straw around the edges for us. Tranquility Outdoors is known to do little extras while on site to help the customer at little or no additional charge. A neighbor wanted the old bricks from our patio. Brad went to the neighbors house, hooked up their trailer and brought it over to our house, loaded the bricks and returned the trailer to the neighbors home. We noticed that a slate step coming down from our porch was broken and Brad repaired it with a piece of slate from an existing walkway -- again at no cost to us. He even noticed a low spot in our front yard where we had put some fill dirt and took some extra seed and scattered it covering it with straw for us -- at no charge and without us asking. We have always been extremely happy with this company's work ethic and with the end product they create. They are just a stellar company all the way around. Anything they build for you -- Tranquility Outdoors will make sure you are happy with. And it all gets done with no headaches!
