But no matter how cute a place is, no one should get treated poorly, especially in a medical environment. I went in for a filling, and when finished, it felt like I was biting on a rock. Dr. Putman said it might be because I was numb. After the numbness went away the filling was still so incredibly high. I wanted to come back in for an adjustment as soon as possible because the office was closing for an entire week. They put me on the schedule at the end of the day, the following day, which was their last day before they closed for the week. I imagine the feeling of being done for the day and wanting to be off for the week. As soon as Dr. Putman walked in she said "came in right when we're closing huh?" I immediately felt uncomfortable and felt myself shutting down. I felt a roughness from her while she was in my mouth and she even said to the assistant "she's tough, she just got a tattoo." After she did the second adjustment she said "I'm not doing anymore, if I do more it'll have to be a crown." I told her it still felt like I was biting on a rock, but it was getting better. And she sort of huffed and adjusted more, this time I really felt her in my mouth for much longer than necessary, like she was trying to just get it all the way down so I wouldn't feel it at all. And that's exactly what happened. When she finished she took her gloves off and adjusted the chair as if we were done before asking me how it felt. I even thought she had walked out. I was scared to say anything. I felt extremely uncomfortable in my body and frozen in my voice. She took a minute to ask how it felt, and I said It felt like I was biting more on my front teeth now, something I never had a problem with before. She huffed and said "okay bye" and walked out, which was the last time I saw her. I gave out a shocking "thank you?" I was completely shaken up, and am still in shock from this. I told the assistant how rude that was and the assistant actually said "I apologize for that." Which gave me confirmation I was not crazy for feeling triggered in this way. If you cannot treat your customers, clients, PATIENTS with patience and care, do not have them come in before you close or anytime when you're not able to be there for them. It's been three weeks now and I cannot chew on that tooth, as it is extremely painful and sensitive. I was told it should subside in a few days. I will have to find a new dentist to see what the next step will be into treating this tooth. On top of that, I was told at my initial new patient exam I was able to use Care Credit which I had used at that first appointment no problem. Following that appointment I was then told it could only be for $1,000 or more. This filling appointment was a "one last time" using Care Credit under the limit. Update: I was texted by the dentist saying "I'm sorry you feel this way" and was told that my appt for the follow up was earlier in the day, as if coming in before they closed was my problem, when the front desk told me to come in at that time. She went on explaining about my tooth having the unbearable pain. There was no apology or acknowledgment for how she made me feel. "I'm sorry you feel this way" is not an apology or ownership for her actions of how rude she was and uncomfortable it made me feel. The assistant texted back saying "let us know your new dentist to forward you records." Such a nice office.

I called multiple locations and no one would accept my insurance , but more importantly no one could get me in for an appointment today. As soon as Emily answered the phone at Asheville dental , I knew my luck was changing . She was so sweet and sympathetic. She made sure to explain everything to me including costs, since my insurance is no good in North Carolina and she got me in for an appointment in the afternoon. They sent me a text with all the information and a link to my paperwork so I could fill everything out before I arrived. I made sure to get there early and the offices are warm and welcoming. I gave my name in the front and they checked me in. I was called back right at my appointment time. I explained my situation and Makayla was patient and understanding. She checked my teeth and took an x-ray and made sure to verify the cost with me. Dr. Powell came in to examine me and he was absolutely wonderful. I am leaving this review about Asheville Dental located at 10C Yorkshire St. 28803. Never in my life have I been cheated, tricked, lied to and abused like this from any professional or business. I am 74yr old senior citizen and was taken advantage of by the dentist Grant Dasher and Asheville Dental. I admit my wits aren't as alert as they once were but these people should be ashamed and their office investigated by the Health Dept. I received a certified letter telling me the work was completed and I was dismissed from Asheville Dental and should find another dentist for all future treatments. This is because they convinced me to pay the total amount even before the work was 25% (twenty-five percent) completed. I was lied to when I asked if he could give me straight white teeth and he said yes. A 3rd year dental student could do this but i received mostly straight and mostly white teeth and also how long this treatment would take. Dasher told me it will take approximately 12 to 14 weeks. It took 31 (thirty-one) weeks. Imagine being unable to eat without pain for 31 weeks. So unnecessary! Dasher told me he would refund the cost of 2 (two) crowns because he saw two of my teeth would not support crowns. I was reimbursed for 1 (one) crown and cheated out of the second. He tried to convince me he had given me $4000.00 (four-thousand dollars) worth of service for free. NONSENSE/RIDICULOUS! He never mentioned this until I requested my refund for the second crown. They refused to return my money. Another cheat and another lie! There is more I could say but my point has been made to let the public know to stay away from Asheville Dental. They are the most dishonest and untrustworthy office I have ever been in. One may ask why I stayed at Asheville Dental after being treated with such obvious disrespect and put through so much unnecessary pain and discomfort? As i mentioned before they had my money, paid in full. Sometime along week 22 (twenty-two) Dasher offered me a refund when I told him I had lost all trust and confidence in him and his work. Many visits I was the only person when I arrived and no one there when I left. As I was leaving their office for the last time I heard them laughing. Dasher and his small staff are a disgrace to the dental profession. I have no proof other than visual (what I observed) that on occasion he used instruments that were not sanitized. The bags that are used to sanitize were opened and wrinkly on other occasions there were no bags and wore no gloves at all. This could be "Very Dangerous." I get no satisfaction in leaving such a negative yet 100% truthful review. In my opinion they are not honest people and the public needs to know! The public should know and be made aware! So after a brief panic attack, the procedure was done with just numbing. Dr. Cho was AMAZING! She worked QUICKLY and efficiently and was very calming through the entire procedure. I now have TMD from the trauma to my jaw that was caused by Aspen Dental. Months of PT. The damage done by Aspen Dental maybe permanent. They are the worst dentist I have even been to. And I am old!
