Initially, I had a great agent who was responsive and helpful, but after he left the company, the quality of service took a sharp decline. For months, I have been trying to obtain basic documentation and loss runs necessary to secure coverage elsewhere. Instead, I've received nothing but delays, excuses, and vague responses. Despite multiple attempts to escalate the issue, both VP and CEO have consistently given me the runaround, offering no solutions or meaningful follow-up. This level of unprofessionalism and lack of accountability is completely unacceptable, especially in an industry where timely communication and documentation are critical. I would caution anyone considering this company. If you ever need to transition coverage or require support beyond the bare minimum, you may find yourself in the same nightmare scenario. I needed to renew my business umbrella coverage and I reached out to the VP to assist me with this and, long story short, my insurance expired and he didn't care to reach back out to me until I started looking around for coverage elsewhere. Really knows reverse mortgages AND he really puts the client's interests first!…read more I am a real estate agent and my senior seller was using John for a reverse purchase but needed to sell her home first that I had listed. The buyer for her home was also going to use a reverse purchase using another lender. After delay after delay, John offered to step in at no charge to help the buyer's lender overcome some challenges, and quickly discovered they had almost no chance of getting an approval. The rub is that this lender had initially tried to talk my client into dumping John and using THEM for her purchase because they were "experts" at reverse mortgages and it would have been better if they handled both files! We found another buyer quickly, but many other challenges developed in the timing of the close and moving. My client had some financial and health challenges to where it was imperative that she move directly from her old home to the new home. I thought I had negotiated a long enough rent-back to accommodate that, but (due to no fault of John's whatsoever) we needed a little more time. We were at an impasse and things were escalating quickly as the buyer of her home wanted her out and she couldn't move at the promised date but she had movers scheduled and they wanted a HUGE fee to re-schedule her move. Through super-human efforts, John got it done in time for her to move out on time and saved me and the client a LOT of grief and money! John spent more time on the phone with the client than her buyer's agent for the transaction dealing with all kinds of stress and emotion on her part and kept her calm and focused. I know many of these calls were late in the evening and weekends. I think he even talked to my client about the move out of her home more than I did! He even had to spend hours with the title company on her buying side on how to prep the documents because they weren't familiar with the process. Way above and beyond
