Standard king. Nice lake view. Seating looks nice, but it is really not functional, I spent the waking time in the room on the desk chair. At least there's a nice amount of desk space. No drawer space at all, which was a little odd and unusual. There was a bit of hanging space. The TV is hard fixed to the wall, not possible to connect other devices. In a particularly interesting design move, the closet door is also the bathroom door, so one is open when the other is closed. It's a noisy sliding door as well. Several connections at the desk and each of the bed side tables. The bed tables are designed a bit inconveniently, with a small top shelf, and a larger lower shelf. read more

This was such a lovely Friday evening gala for the Warren Arts Education Foundation. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff made it easy to find our way, and the event signage was helpful. Registration was smooth, and we were given information about the live auction, our bidding number, and the silent auction items available during cocktail hour. The event started with a nice social atmosphere, with two bars available while guests mingled, enjoyed drinks, and browsed the silent auction. We were later directed into a beautifully decorated conference room with salads and desserts already set at the tables. The program included several speakers, presentations about the school and fundraiser, a comedian, a magician, and a live auction. Dinner was catered and included chicken with zucchini, which was pretty good. The spring mix salad came with ranch or balsamic vinaigrette, and drink options included water, tea, or lemonade. Dessert options were cheesecake and chocolate cake, and of course I had to try both, both were good! After the formal program, we moved into another room for the after-party, which was such a fun way to end the evening. There was a dance floor, DJ, photo booth, light-up gadgets, another bar, plus pizza and Crave cookies. Overall, we had a great time. I especially loved that the event supported such a good cause, raising money to help kids and improve education. read more

This was a very nice hotel. Very large and clean. The pool was huge and my kids loved it. The lounge was closed on the weekend which was disappointing. My kids said that all the lobby toilets were clogged and overflowing which was gross. For some reason it took a long time for us to get checked in. For checkout their system was down. The restaurant is close to the mall , many restaurants and a great go kart and mini golf place. read more

The staff were friendly, and the room itself was clean with comfortable beds. What makes this a 3-star experience was paying extra for concierge access and finding a dirty, unserviced concierge area. We arrived at check-in time and had a lovely and efficient front desk experience. We found the main lobby to be welcoming, but we noticed the elevators were really banged up. Our room was clean and seemed recently updated and came with a great view of the lake with the city skyline in the distance. The beds were comfortable, although we did hear some noise in the hallways, so it may not be the best for light sleepers. After checking in, I tried to head to the concierge room and found it didn't open until 5 pm on Sundays. I returned later at 5:45 and found the room to be in a pretty sorry state. No Marriott employee was even in the room, the food options -- already limited -- were all but gone, dirty plates were everywhere, and the only option to drink was water (with a 2-bottle limit). I looked around for a few minutes in case I was missing something and then decided to leave. Overall, I would stay here again, but I would definitely not upgrade to concierge level. read more

I was here for a conference which included a reception the night before. The reception was nice and the hot appetizers were very good. The baked brie in pastry and coconut shrimp were particularly tasty. Beverages, including wine, were self serve which I don't think I've ever seen before at a hotel event; every time I've been involved in organizing an event at other venues we've been required to pay for a bartender to serve any alcohol, but I guess they don't require that here. The conference space was nice, but I think this event was at capacity for what the venue can handle so it was crowded with a tight squeeze at tables (12 to the round tables that usually seat 8-10), and long lines for food and for restrooms. Breakfast and lunch were good with a nice bonus of salads and fresh green beans at lunch along with a vegetable pasta dish. Audio visual equipment seemed to work well and the wifi was able to accommodate the large group. Parking was easy in the surface lots surrounding the hotel. read more

We had been looking for hotels where we could walk around to check out different places. This Marriott was perfect! It had everything we were looking for - we never even left the hotel!! Well, this is pretty nice Marriott, outside the city center, close to Carmel. Not the most exciting area, but what made this stay totally weird, are outside circumstances. NCAA Big 10 Tournament in Indy was cancelled due to coronavirus concerns, and hotel was pretty empty the first night, eerily abandoned the second night. It was definitely not something that could be controlled. Hotel itself was pretty nice for Marriott brand. Slightly bland, but fairly decent furnishings and atmosphere, good spacious rooms, well stocked Lounge, friendly staff in the hotel and bar. The mood was gloomy, of course. It was the last week before the new reality of pandemics set in... Anyway, it was my last trip, and we won't be able to travel freely for a while now, so I can only thank Marriott and Indy for good times. Did a staycation at the Marriott Indianapolis North to get out of the house and not travel far. Everyone at the front desk were very friendly, and any questions or requests (such as late checkout) were granted. Breakfast was good (but pricy) with plenty of choices to choose from. They have a made to order omelet bar, and they will also make your waffles for you. As for the room, it was clean and comfortable. The shower was a walk-in, but this one had a sliding door so the water doesn't splash out on the floor. This may seem trivial, but I can't remember how many times I've been at a hotel that didn't have a door and I swear there was almost as much water on the floor as inside the shower area! lol Enjoy if you stay here. read more

I usually love staying at this hotel whenever I visit indy!! My last stay which was about 3 days ago. I left my charger which is a very expensive charger! I called the house keeping phone line no one called me back- so today I decided to go up to the hotel the front desk manager checked housekeeping as well as asked the house keeper who cleaned the room ( so he says ) if she saw a charger ; he didn't come back with my charger so my guess is she said " NO " which is an absolute lie because I know for a fact it was left at this hotel in my room!!! So I say all that to say DONT LEAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE ACCIDENTALLY!! AS THEY DONT HAVE A TRUSTWORTHY HOUSEKEEPING STAFF!! My charger was clearly stolen! read more

Ouch. I hate to leave a review based on a single encounter with an employee but it was bad enough I felt it was warranted. I was here for a wedding this weekend. With some preexisting issues aside, I think it's a hard time for a lot of businesses amid COVID and staff shortages so I really don't make much of any inconveniences. I know the staff are doing the best with what they have. That being said, when you're made to feel unwelcome by someone working at an establishment, that is an attitude issue that needs to be brought up to management. A friend of mine and I stopped at the bar for a drink. Although it was lively, it certainly wasn't busy. We watched AMANDA serve a few customers, play with the channels on the TV, talk about the game that was currently on, talk to children, listlessly mull about, play with receipts, and generally go out of her way to avoid eye contact with us. We gave her the benefit of the doubt. We flagged her down, which resulted in her rudely telling us she "needed a minute" while still refusing to make any eye contact or effort to figure out what we wanted after a few minutes. We decided to leave because who needs that kind of negativity? Let's say that she wasn't discriminating based on our clothes or appearance and this was just a bad day. I also work with people daily. Even on bad days, I would never take it out on my clients / customers. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect the same level of professionalism from anyone else. read more

I stayed at this hotel for a work trip, and all things considered, the hotel itself was nice. However, I got food poisoning my second night from the hotel restaurant's shrimp caesar salad. I know it was this particular meal that made me sick because I hadn't eaten anything for hours before I ate this meal, and I got all the familiar food poisoning symptoms 45 minutes after I ate it. I ended up having to go to urgent care the next morning, and the following day, I wasn't any better so I had to go to the ER. I filed an incident report with the hotel after I was discharged from the hospital. I followed up once in person before I checked out and emailed the food and beverage director when I left the hotel. Two weeks later, I still haven't heard anything from them. I will never stay at this hotel again, and if anyone else does, do not eat the hotel food. read more

I seriously cannot get enough of this Marriott! I went to this location because of a conference and man was I impressed! Why you ask? Well I would love to share! 1. Meeting space was conveniently located. It was on the first floor just past the check in desk. They also provided coat racks - nice touch! 2. The FOOD for the meeting space was amazing!!! Like crazy good! I especially liked the chicken cordon bleu for lunch and the chocolate cake dessert and last but not least, the hash brown and breakfast sandwiches were everything! 3. Because I am a nursing mom, I was given a special room to lactate and I was blown away by the clean, upscale, classy rooms this hotel had to offer! I looooved everything about them. 4. The front desk service was outstanding. Our food servers did need some room for improvement when we were being served lunch but the other staff made up for it! This is a perfect place to lodge and a perfect place to have an event! Like forreal forreal! read more

Our rate wasn't too pricey compared to other hotels of this caliber: $129/per night, per room over Labor Day weekend. We got a few perks which definitely made the stay a little nicer, starting with a high floor room with a balcony overlooking a large, pristine man-made lake. The hotel's proximity to the nearby fashion mall, "Keystone at the Crossing" is a bonus. The hotel itself is attractive on the inside but won't win any style awards from architecture magazines. Typical early 1990s style brass and granite interiors. My room (#813) was nice. No noticeably worn furniture or wall coverings. I could have used an additional power outlet near the desk, but I simply unplugged the coffee pot to add my laptop. The bed linens were simple, clean and attractive. AH, THE BED. In a word: the best hotel bed I've ever had. It was one of those iComfort foam beds. Wonderful. They even have a large brochure for purchasing the actual bed linens, pillows, bathroom accessories and mattresses. The bathroom was clean and efficient. The designer shower head was a nice touch, as were the Aromatherapy brand toiletries and soaps. Then again, for a hotel like this, anything less would be a letdown. The breakfast buffet was decent: waffles and omelets made to order, cereals, fresh fruit, hot tray items like eggs Benedict and bacon, etc. The pool and workout areas are very nice; the pool is much larger than you'd expect for a corporate hotel, though it's not a lap pool nor deep enough (3 ft-4 ft) to allow for any real swimming. The hot tub was...well, HOT. The workout room has a range of good equipment: LifeFitness brand machines--treadmills, ellipticals, rowing machine, etc. There are also containers of water in the fridge and a fruit bowl available. My husband and I stayed at the hotel on October 28, 2023. We never got to sleep until 5 am. This was because of the hotel bar over serving a guest and a fight began at 8 pm in the room above us, and never stopped until the police were called at 4 am. You know it was a big fight if the police were involved. After several calls and trips to the front desk (at one point I was asked to move to another room at 2 am) I wasn't the person fighting. Why wasn't the person fighting told to move. It finally took several people calling the front desk, before the hotel did anything. We are not from Indianapolis and having no sleep literally ruined our Sunday plans. The manager of the hotel was rude to us the next morning. Or was it just our imagination because of having no sleep. read more

While the hotel itself is good, this is probably the hotel that makes me feel the least welcome. I stay at Marriott properties almost every week and they vary from hand written welcome notes to offering a bottle of water when I check in. At a minimum, when I repeatedly stay at a property, I'm welcomed back. The front desk staff are friendly enough but having stayed here about 12 nights in the past 4 months alone (not counting anything from 2018) I just expect a little more. **end rant** So the property is nicely updated with modern rooms. The only rooms that have bath tubs are the "accessible" rooms and you need to request that. The finishings are all nice. There's a concierge lounge on the 11th floor, a restaurant and bar on the first floor and a decent gym as well. There are a lot of hotel options in the area including a Sheraton right around the corner so hopefully this location will work a little harder to recognize their repeat customers. read more

I didn't realize I had booked my room for the night prior in error. When I called Terrence answered the phone and he was thee most helpful human ever. So courteous, switched my room with no problems. When I arrived at the hotel the same treatment. The front desk was absolutely amazing! I would stay at the hotel just because of the service. Our bartender for the night (Amanda) was also great. The BAD: I'll start with the bad to get it out of the way and to end the review on the high note. The rooms need update. Our room 227 had rust stains on bathroom door frame, peeling wallpaper and very dated artwork. I learned that the hotel was almost sold out. Soooo, I am really hoping that this is one of the lesser quality rooms that only gets used when all the good rooms are taken. The GOOD: Ah, the legendary Marriott customer service. At this property, most of the employees we encountered live by the principle of going the extra mile. I called in the morning of our departure and asked for one hour later check out. The At Your Service agent granted it to us after only a brief check of the computer system. Very friendly and efficient interaction. The REALLY GOOD: I knew there was a Starbucks nearby and because I left my iPhone in the room, I asked for walking directions at the front desk. The agent pointed out that is is about a mile away. Kind of walking distance...but I didn't have the time, can you then give me driving directions? Instead, she helpfully offered that the bellman can drive us (my MIL was with me). What a service. But get this: since they actually do not have an official Marriott shuttle, the bellman Thomas used his own car to drive us. He also offered to wait for us until we were done. The extremely friendly and courteous staff saved this from a one star rating. I could not believe how bad my room was I had at this property. When I arrived, staff was great. Very nice lobby, lounge and bar area. On par with a higher-end Marriott location. Once I exited the elevator for the 7th floor, flashback to 15 years ago (at least). Old wallpaper, carpets and fixtures. Construction being done on rooms with Sheetrock smashed into the carpet in the hall. My room, it was just bad. If I was not so exhausted from travel, I would have left the hotel after finding: Blood, or what looked like blood drops stained my comforter. (See picture) the staff promptly removed the comforter when I called. Wall paper; split & peeling in several places. (See pic) The lightbulb in my bedside lamp was hanging out by a wire (see pic) while plugged in. I noticed this at 3 am & promptly unplugged it for safety. Lastly, I paid for the premium Internet. 2.7 Mbps down, 1.1mbps up. (See pic) Not sure how these speeds could fetch $12 per day. Wow. To the staff, great customer support! When I approached the manager the next day, they did offer to move my room. She was very pleasant and apologetic. At that point, I only had another night so it wasn't worth packing up & moving. She then offered 5k points, I explained that it wasn't necessary, I wanted them to be aware so they could remedy after I checked out. One of the best business hotels I've stayed at. The room is huge. They have a table you can use, they have fast internet connection and its just perfect for business travel. They provide a nice TV with almost all the channels you would usually want. This probably the biggest single bed room I've ever seen of all the Marriott's. They have a fitness center, swimming pool and a Jacuzzi. The property is at a very nice location right by the lake. The view out of the window is pretty good from the 5th floor. The service is amazing and everybody at the reception are very professional the way the handle things. read more

The good: Location is excellent, amid a slew of shopping and places to eat. Extremely courteous staff. Nice lobby and public spaces. Plentiful parking. Comfy bed. The mediocre: The rooms are in need of a makeover. I mean badly. Look, I'm not a snob, but the 90s decor hints that this hotel has not had an upgrade in a while. But the real tell was in the room itself. Wallpaper was coming off the walls at the seams. The place had a weird funk about it. And the bathroom sink and tile was cracked, and obviously so for some time. Hey, I'm not saying the room looked like the aftermath of a stay by The Who, but a property of this caliber should be more up to date in its interiors. One more thing. The typical price gouging on WiFi. Once you ponied up for it, it works well. But $9 a day is just obscene, especially when the Hampton Inns of the world give it to you for free. So the more you spend for a hotel room, the more likely they're going to charge you for WiFi. Will the hotel management gurus of the world explain to this weird approach to pricing? I'd really like to know. You'd think the business travelers of the world would rise up as one and demand better treatment, rather than shrug their shoulders and expense it. read more

I wanted this hotel to be so much better than what it was. First off, our ceiling was peeling either from previous water damage or it was just old. We requested for maintenance to come and look at our room to see what was the issue to either get it fixed or switch rooms. For me it was a huge eye sore. They came the next day after we requested it for the 3rd time. They came and said they would fix it but it would take 2-3 hours to finish and since we had a small child they wouldnt recommend them fixing it because of the the sanding down and other things that needed to be done. Also they didn't have any other rooms for us to go in so we had to stay there since we needed to stay for 3 nights. Also we requested for our rooms trash to be emptied and more face cloths well before 12pm when they say you must ask for housekeeping. Please tell me why it took a whole 24 hours for them to come to our service call. I honestly felt extremely ignored and when I called down to the service desk the front desk agents attitude was so bad I could tell he was very stressed and irritated and he took it out on me by basically telling me to suck it up they only have 1 housekeeper and that I'd be put on the waiting list. Regardless of what time I requested the towels and trash to be emptied. Last but not least our room was a King bed facing the lake with a sofa bed let out. When we went to let the sofa bed out there were stains on the mattress that looked like old blood. Just sick! I pushed the bed right back in. Also requested a crib for our 1 year old NEVER GOT IT! The other star is for the pool. We had a nice time by the pool even if it was a little dirty and old. The pool floor is discolored and the water was foggy. I had goggles. Definitely need to be deep cleaned. This is not Marriotts standard . I don't know what happened with this hotel. Needs work. Room was clean upon arrival though the bed sheets were freshly cleaned I could smell them so that's a plus. The window was dirty with finger prints from previous guests so they need help with the cleaning. The drinks at the bar were good . Overall I give them a two out of 5. read more

I stayed at this hotel 2 days due to a conference I attended. The service from all employees is amazing. Rooms are clean and really modern. The gym is well equipped and easily accessed. The atmosphere at the lobby is great since the bar/restaurant is right in front, but very quiet in the rooms area. The banquet provided by the hotel for the conference was excellent. A large variety of food was offered and the staff was always attentive. I was glad to see the amount of Hispanic employees and the excellent service they provided. The spaces for the conferences were well organized and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're traveling for business or if you want to put together a conference for your institution. read more

Rehearsal Dinner party was done nice but the hotel ran the drink bill up. There were 55 people at the event 10 were kids or non drinker. The said that in 1.5 hours with 1 bartender we drank over 250 drinks between beer, wine and mixed drinks. That is 5 drinks a person in a span of dinner 1.5 hours. Most were logged in as mixed drinks, 142 in that amount of time with 1 bartender serving 250 drinks and coke product to the ones not drinking in such a short time period. The hall and food was nicely done, but the over charging that comes with 43% taxes and fees on top of that. When I called to discuss they told me it sounded high but the bartender said it was right. (could 2-3 bottles have disappeared) I gave my complaint to Jamie the Manager and she said the same, but would not call me back. Then they billed my credit card with out permission for $8200, I asked to have it put on another card, which they did but did not credit the first card, I called back and they said the $8200 would take 3 weeks to be credited back. I called again and still not returned or a receipt saying it was credited. I guess they are hurting from Covid enough to over charge with a straight face. We also had 60 rooms booked there. JUST BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am a Platinum Marriott person and been at some of the nicest Marriott's, Renaissance and JW Marriott's in the country but, this one is different. They are not owned by Marriott they are part of COLUMBIS SUSSEX who has a number of poor reviews. I wish I would have seen them before using that one. As others have said, the staff is great - very polite and helpful. Even went out of their way to get me something to eat on my way out one morning (for free). The rooms are terrible however. There are damp stains in the ceiling, the wallpaper is peeling, there is a hole in the wall after an old smoke detector, there are a huge amount of wires between the tv & desk, the bathroom walls are stained with what looks like old mouthwash etc. To add to this, if you face the highway the rooms are also very noisy...and perhaps worse, the vibrations from passing trucks are very prominent as well... even on the 9th floor. So bad you can actually hear the TV and desk shake each time a truck passes (every 5 seconds at 11pm). Avoid if possible. read more

Lauren at the bar was helpful and very accommodating in a messed up order making things right. My wife and I stayed here on or first anniversary. While checking in I happened to mention that fact when I asked about any special rooms they might have, with a jacuzzi or something like that. The friendly clerk at the desk said they didn't have anything like that, but he did put us in a room with a balcony. Later that night, at about seven, there was a knock on the door. The gentleman had a tray with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, " compliments of the house". Quite a nice surprise. I love this place! I first stayed here for a conference, and was astonished by how smoothly the staff made the whole conference go. During intermissions of conference sessions the staff were very accommodating in providing ringing soft bells when it was time for the next session to begin. The staff also let us know when the lunch selections that we had chosen for the buffet luncheon would not "hold" for the last of the attendees, they upgraded the food choices at no cost. The staff are truly wonderful! The rooms are quiet, clean, and spacious. The beds are heavenly soft. Great location! Moments from great shops and dining. My most recent visit was for a meeting, but I think I did stay here before. The property is located on a large pond, and some rooms have a nice view. I remember that my room had a view of the water, and I think I even had a small terrace. I do have good recollections of my stays and visits here. It's located in the Keystone Crossings area, near the Fashion Mall and not far from Castleton Square Mall. There is a TON of shopping and dining options nearby. This hotel is located in a hotel/office complex next to the mall, and the area is safe. Recommended. read more
