The backdrop curtains were not the color pink I asked for. When making a selection from there book make sure to ask is that what you get. I felt like my concerns were not listened to, and attention to detail was lacking. When you're planning an event, those details matter. This created unnecessary stress on an important day. She seemed totally put out. She was so incredibly rude, I couldn't believe it. I decided I didn't need some plates I had ordered; she told me I would have to pay a 25% fee for changing my mind. I didn't understand the policy and the way she was explaining it to me. She got really upset with me. I had to send my friend in to ask her again what the policy is. I didn't mind paying the 25%, I just wanted to understand the policy because it was not what I was told when I originally ordered my items. I got to the point where i didn't even want to go back. I needed more items so i went down the street to Celebrations where I received the best customer service ever. I left a message for the owner to call me but never received a call from her. On a positive note, the delivery guys were great!!

Their inventory has always been a bit old and worn down, but the staff used to make up for it with decent customer service. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. I recently rented a hot dog machine for a school event. After setting everything up and loading all the hot dogs, the machine worked for about 10 seconds and then completely stopped -- no power, no light. We tried different outlets and even moved everything to another area with working electricity, but it still wouldn't turn on. This caused a major setback during the school function, and we had to scramble to feed the kids another way. I called during the incident for help but they were closed. After the event I called again and explained what happened. They told me to bring it back and that I'd receive a full refund. I did exactly that. When I dropped it off, Mayra said she'd refund it back to my card -- no problem. A short while later, she called saying they plugged it in and it worked for them. We had a polite conversation about how strange that was, but she never mentioned canceling my refund. It's now been 6 days, and no refund has been issued. I've left messages and never received a call back. When I finally reached someone named Ana, I was told she had to "check with the owner" to see if they even wanted to give me a refund -- and that she wouldn't be back for several days. At this point, it's not even about the money -- it's about principle and professionalism. I've supported this local business for years, but it's disappointing to see how they now dodge calls and treat loyal customers. A small issue could have been resolved quickly with honesty and good service. It's truly sad to say, but I'll be taking my business elsewhere -- somewhere that values integrity over keeping a few extra dollars. I wish them well, but I hope they use the money they kept from me to finally replace that old, faulty machine.
