We had to buy some trash bags, there was an exposed power strip that was very overloaded and when we opened the dishwasher to look for coffee cups it was full of stale dirty water and mold on the dishes inside. I'd think for the $65 cleaning fee, the place would be clean. Other than that bit of grossness, we enjoyed our stay.

Management responded saying someone would come clean it, but nothing has been done. We are in Florida during extreme heat advisories, and dogs deserve access to clean, fresh drinking water. Instead, the water bowl has been left in this condition for weeks. It's frustrating that something so simple hasn't been addressed. I hope management will finally replace or properly clean the water bowl so pets have safe drinking water.

We hope to come back. AMENITIES: moving from a single family home neighborhood was an adjustment, but embracing the amenities at Camden is our top recommendation. The rooftop amenities are amazing and the pool is the best! Others commented on a snug fit gym and we can't argue but the views are stunning. We met good friends who showed us how to entertain in the rooftop kitchen - we will miss that too! STAFF: other comments seem to throw shade. If you separate the financial aspect, then the staff get the highest marks on our book. Concierge = luxury in our opinion and we have amazing people at the desk. Hector was always there for us when we called maintenance. He is a really nice guy who is great at his job. Someone commented that stuff breaks - it's true! Try owning your own home and you have to fix it yourself. Then you'll appreciate Camden and being only a call away from someone else fixing it for you. I believe the cameras have helped staff tamp down the one or two residents who treated the place like a frat house. FINANCIALS: it's a business! DTSP is paradise. Camden is among the best. I hope our review doesn't reinforce management's defense of unrelenting rent increases but we wanted to tell the truth about this being a great place to live, in our opinion. LOCATION: the 18 stack has awesome views - the city, a bit of water, PUBLIX parking lot (always interesting), a straight shot look up 3rd Street, the Trop, and epic sunsets and storms. Often we would see lightening storms to the east at the same time as sunsets to the west. NOISE: DTSP is very noisy. The windows and doors block most of the noise but loud vehicles and construction noise seems to permeate. DIVERSITY: good mix of young and seasoned. Nearly everyone is friendly. We loved the quick chats on the elevator and made friends that way. Saying "have a good one" on your way off the elevator is common here. No harm there - it's just the culture. DOGS: there are a lot of dog owners. In 15 months here, we only had one or two that acted inappropriately on or waiting for elevators. There were urine puddles but staff took care of them and it never seemed to get out of hand. That said, we loved petting well-behaved dogs and so glad they belonged to other people - not us! I was assaulted, had a gun pointed at me, and my paddleboards were stolen... yet management did nothing about it. Still no security is in place at the complex eventhough they promised security when I signed my lease. It no longer exists because they are trying to "cut costs". Again, I was assalted by a neighbor & nothing was done about it. My paddleboards were also stolen on the property and they didn't do anything to help me recover them. None of the security cameras work or they are conveniently pointed in the wrong direction so Sand Cove is never to blame. Criminals live there & guns have been pointed at neighbors, yet management does nothing. Packages also get stolen all the time by the mailboxes. Such poor management. I've also never felt such discrimination. Wendy, the apartment manager, will tell you exactly what you want to hear so you will sign the lease... then you are on your own! They do as little as possible & only fix the important things in the cheapest way possible. They've also walked into my apartment unannounced numerous times. No privacy. They've raised the rent and charge for other things at any time (storage, carports, water/sewer). YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

The exterior of the building was in great shape, the views were incredible, surveillance was all around the building, and the cherry on top was that we got a couple waives from the residents pulling in. I WAS SOLD BEFORE I EVEN SPOKE TO WENDY!! LOL. So.......I call Wendy (the property manager) and she says "I'm standing outside and i'm behind you".....(TALK ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE....SHE WAS WAITING FOR OUR ARRIVAL AND MADE US FEEL SO WELCOMING !!!!!!! We walked into the office and the rest was history. We toured a couple units and we picked one out that we absolutely are in love with and enjoy very much. Wendy has been such a sweetheart to work with and she's very professional, very quick to respond to your emails and picks up right away when you call her, she's honest/transparent and most importantly she's amazing at what she does and I truly enjoy every moment I interact with Wendy. She TRULY CARES ABOUT HER JOB AND YOU! She's by far the best property manager I've ever dealt with and she truly deserves recognition for this! Everyone in the building has been so welcoming, friendly and it's just an amazing community! The maintenance guy is another story LOL (I forgot his name my apologies we just moved in 2 days ago) but long story short he's absolutely amazing and deserves a shout out also. I needed to borrow a pair of pliers so I went to Wendy's office and she called him and she said he'll meet you at your unit. Literally by the time I got to my door, he was there with 2 pairs of pliers and said I could keep one and return the other one to his unit on site.I asked "you're giving me these? " He replied with "yes" and I was just so thankful to him and he was just so great!!!!! He told me his unit number so after I was done, I went to drop them off to his unit and he introduced me with welcoming arms to meet his wife. WHAT GREAT PEOPLE AND ONCE AGAIN MADE ME FEEL AT HOME AND SAFE.
