One thing i always think is surprising and nice is that they sell a small range of Bodyshop products just inside the door, I always thought that you could only get these in a body shop store but there they are tempting you from the shelf of a normal chemist! I purely use this shop for getting prescriptions or medicines when I am sick and Mr Baghwin the pharmacist is almost like a doctor because he gives the best advice and understands how you are feeling and what can make you better. There is not much stock other than medicines in this pharmacy but that gives it an air of wanting to get down to the serious business of curing your ailment, that's all you want when you're sick right?

One thing i like about this chemist is the fact that they sell and display cheaper alternatives to normal tablets, like solpadeine and nurofen, they are the same ingredients and work the same but are alot cheaper and the staff here are willing to advise you on it and encourage you to go for the cheap alternative, they are not out for money, you feel they care about the person not just the sale.

The staff is excellent and has several times taken pity on my lost and forlorn look and readily offered assistance. I'm not sure if it was because I was a guy and couldn't figure which brand of motion sickness mediciine was the one closest to my wife's usual brand and had that panicked oh-lord-which-one-will-make-her-happy look or because I'm an American who was wandering the aisle's in the vain hope of finding cough syrup (for my American readers-ya gotta ASK for it, it's kept behind the counter and they may ask for 17 different proofs-of-age before letting you buy it), but the staff has been very helpful and friendly each and every time I've been in. Bottom Line: Service with a smile gets an extra star..

They offer really good advice and I usually go in here before I decide to visit the doctor. A perfect example was last month when I had a really sore throat. They now offer a "Sore Throat Test and Treat Service" so they took a swab from my throat and were able to tell me in a few minutes what the cause was. As it was not bacterial (Strep Throat) they told me i could treat it with over the counter medicines. If it had been Strep Throat they would have sent me to my doctor to get antibiotics. It only cost me €7.50 and saved me the time and expense of visiting my doctor. On many occasions they have given me really helpful advice about the medicines I was taking and they are very friendly and approachable.
