PLEASE HELP Will…read moresomeone please contact me if you have a current phone number for attorney Rita Boyd. She charged my credit card for $5000 in January 2025. She couldn't get a case filed for me in the timeframe that she stated she would. The reason she used is that I needed to provide her with more information about the other party. I told her during the initial consultation that I didn't have that information. I am not sure why she took the $5000 and told me she would have a case ready to be filed by the next day when she knew, but didn't tell me until days later, that she couldn't move forward without it. Since then, I have been attempting to recover my $5000 but she wont respond to my texts or e-mails. My name is Michelle and you can text or call (please leave a message if I don't answer) at 805-744-5467. I was referred to Rita Boyd by the Tarrant County Bar Association Referral so I overlooked some of the negative reviews of her online. Just as the many of the reviews suggested, she was very professional and would have my case ready to file by Friday when I paid her on Thursday. After I paid her, promises were not kept. I called her Friday. She said she was moving so she would do it Monday. I called her Monday. She said she would have it done that day. She did a back in forth with data that I told her from the day of the consult I didn't have. The last phone call I made to her that Monday she abruptly said she had to go to the bathroom and that she would call me back. She didn't call me back. Why would I put $5000 down to have a case filed if my attorney told me she couldn't file my case without information that I didn't have? It would seem ethically correct that if she couldn't work on my case without certain information that she would return my money immediately. If anyone has current contact information her, please reach out to me. Thank you!

So much more to say, not enough time. Stay away! She won't have a 100% satisfaction rate, as she so call claims. I assume she just hopes people will eventually give up...just like she did.

She is very creative and has several times made suggestions that resolved an issue. A mediator is not an arbitrator and makes no decisions - she only can give her opinion. I note that an earlier reviewer criticized her for the drafting of the mediated settlement agreement. I have found her drafting to be excellent. I will also point out that each party and his/her attorney have the final say as to the wording of the MSA. If a party or an attorney does not like the way a proposed MSA is worded, he/she does not have to sign the document until/unless it is worded in a way he/she can accept. Susan is also an excellent collaborative divorce attorney. She was among the first attorneys trained in collaborative law in the state of Texas and has been quite instrumental in her collaborative divorce practice group. The same skills, knowledge and experience that make her an excellent mediator also serve her well in collaborative divorce.

We hired Todd without question after 1 meet for a suit against our business. Not only did he make us feel confident in our case, but he explains law very well and does not sugarcoat anything. Period. His assistant, Jennifer, who we spent several phone calls with, is very knowledgeable as well and is also SUCH a sweetheart which was calming to my business partner and I's paranoia. Not once were we blindsided by the case because both Todd and Jennifer are so factual and sincere. Hiring an attorney is a big decision, and for us, it was important that we hired someone genuine and caring. During our first hearing, both of our testifiers complimented us on how smart and polite Todd was throughout. Todd did such a great job defending us during that hearing & we were more than pleased with how much he educated himself (on his own) on the industry we are in. He really took the lengths he needed to in order to win the case and he made the opposing council look extremely unprepared. Both Todd and Jennifer are GOOD people, and they look out for the best in their clients current situation as well as their future. Fast forward to random questions here and there 3 years later, both Todd And Jennifer have kindly answered them along the way and If we need legal assistance down the road White Law Firm is who we will call!!
