The smell was putrid and the floors were wet and dirty the countertops were wet and dirty. NO SOAP!!!NO PAPER NAPKINS!!!NO TOILET TISSUE!! For the place to have been as big as it is there is only 2 stalls so ofcourse my sister and I rushed outside so she could throw up because there was a super long line. We told the security guards and the manager that my friend had to throw up and we were stepping outside. We weren't outside for 2 seconds and came right back in. There was nobody coming in or leaving so they were very aware that we literally just stepped outside 2 seconds ago so that she wouldn't throw up on their floors!! We proceeded to come back into marlenes and the security guards were aggressive!!!!!They said we had to pay them $40 to come back in. We told them that we literally haven't been outside a whole minute and they still would not let us back in. They proceeded to forcefully push me and my sister out of the club hard enough to knock her over and knock the things out of her hands!!! Thankfully there was a by stander that heard me say that I needed get my purse and a refund for all the drinks and hookah that we haven't even received yet. And he helped me out! First visit here with my homegirl for her birthday. It a decent place, what I would call a hood bar. But I in no way felt unsafe. I went on a Thursday night. The parking is free and private, we parked about 10 feet from the door and sat at the bar. The security and the customers appeared to be decent citizens. All of my interactions was worry free. Very diverse atmosphere. The barmaid was on point! She took care of us. We had their $3 drink specials. The wings was on point (forgot to take at picture) but I had the garlic Parmesan and the lemon pepper wings and fries for $10.99 for the wings and $3.99 for the fries. Yummy them wings gave me life lol. The alcohol was on point too, our shots of Patron was actually strong and not watered down. The DJ was cool and took some requests so that made it much more fun. I'm sitting here at one if the tables, the Patriots are playing the Dolphins. I came in before two other "sets" of patrons and one for a bucket of beer and a hug. I tried to signal the lady that I wanted an order and she said something and ran off. The other couple walked up to the bar and ordered, and I'm still sitting here..lol...like a fool. If your not sitting at the bat or if your not a regular don't bother. Would love to get to UBAR wing not, but it's a drive. Two ladies waiters and 40 people. if i could give a lower rating i would. after hanging out with a friend she wanted to go there as a last stop. i followed her there to order food. when i got there it was a $10 charge. i clearly stated that i was there to pick up food only. the white lady at the door agreed to take my license as charge since i was only there for food! when i ordered the food i was told it would be 10-15 minute wait. i asked if i could order a drink while i wait and was told yes!!!! while waiting... i posted up at the table directly across from the entrance. i never moved!!!! i told security and marlenes white door employee that i was waiting for food and wanted to let my friend eat a little so she could sober up. ...all of a sudden i'm being approached by black security saying that i didn't pay!!! i explained that marlenes white female employee had agreed to take my license as payment because i told her i was not staying and i wanted my friend to eat a little before leaving. however.... i offered to pay and still leave to keep peace!! my credit card was thrown on the floor by marlene employee. and i was ordered to leave! for no reason!!! i was accused of throwing my card which was a lie... and threatened the police would be called!! for service i paid for!!!! although i hate this establishment because they do not treat brown people (women) with respect, it is because i have gone here with and have gotten the worse service and seen the worse service given to those that keep this business going (black men & women)!! i cried like a baby!! what else can you do when you are sick of the injustice the give! read more

My friend and I were regular customers at Marlenes for a little over 9 years. Hell, they should be yelling "Norm" everytime we walk in the door. But on Dec 31st 2017, New Years Eve, the unthinkable happened. My friend reserved a table for $25.00, then paid $10.00 a piece for us to enter, then purchased drinks for a little less then $30.00 for the first round. We got in a dance or two and noticed that the security guard Jordan was on stage giving us the death stare. I went to my car to retrieve my cell phone and when I returned I was told I had to pay another $10.00. Well, security guard Jordan let me go to my friend for the money. As I approached my friend the waitress had just put the drinks on the table. I asked my friend, "do you want to pay the extra $10.00 dollars or do you want to leave?" My friend said he would pay the extra $10.00 dollars. He went to the entry to pay while I waited for him to come back so we can have our first toast to the New Year before the New Year came in. It took a long while for him to pay $10.00 dollars. I thought I should go and see what was taking so long but then I thought I should wait. Five minutes later the security guard Jordan told me my friend was outside and I should go outside to him. Come to find out, the security guard Jordan body slammed my friend to the ground and told him he would have to leave the premises. Yes, just like that. And it's funny because they waited until my friend dished out $0 and now we had to leave the premises. We left without having our drinks, eating food or having a good time. We didn't call the police because we didn't want to bring the New Year in on a negative note. So we quickly went elsewhere.
