By not performing the background check that was authorized by the tenant, I incurred thousands of dollars in damages and legal fees from a tenant that had several family violence arrests and recent evictions on their record, as well as no longer being employed. None of this was disclosed on their application. Beware signing any rental listing agreement with Remax DFW that doesn't explicitly require the realtor to perform a tenant background check as described in the rent application also provided by Remax DFW and realtors. Remax DFW Mark Wolfe president responded that performing any verification of information on the rental application is a courtesy, but not required unless specifically stated in the listing agreement. Remax DFW president Mark Wolfe states that their agents merely list the properties but are not responsible for checking the applicants background despite being authorized to do so on their rental application.

Longer version - I have purchased several homes in different parts of America so I came into the Dallas area with specific expectations and price points for a new home. Barbara listened to my needs and interests (many realtors do not listen) and provided great guidance at every step of the process. Barbara is extremely helpful, knows the market inside/out and is very easy to work with. Barbara cared more about my needs and expectations than simply selling a house. Barbara also provided great guidance with other services like a house inspector, handyman and loan agency. Barbara Arredondo has my highest possible endorsement. She is simply the best.

Colleen and Todd were amenable to selling our home within certain boundaries we required: did not list till we had moved out, did not display certain features of the home on the Internet for security reasons, did not push on upgrades we would not recover the expense, and allowed us to close from a remote location. We met Fatima through a mutual friend. When she came to visit our home she was very thorough. We considered replacing our fence. Fatima advised we get the fence repaired instead of replaced. This saved us thousands of dollars. Fatima also prayed for the healing of our daughter and the quick sale of our home. I'm not sure if another realtor would have done that but we were blessed to have her come into our lives when she did. Fatima used her own items and used her own expenses to stage our home. We sold our home in a buyers market during the month of October and we got an offer on our place within 5 days. There were some minor hiccups during the closing process. Fatima held our hands along the way and negotiated on our behalf as if we were her own family. We are forever grateful and thankful to Fatima for all of her hard work. We highly recommend Fatima for any of your home selling or buying needs.

Beverly "Bev" helped me hunt for a house over the last 6 months and she has been GREAT. I wish 6…read morestars was an option. Here's some of my experience working with her. -Since most realtors work on commission, I'm naturally leery that they will attempt to sell me a lemon. But Bev truly wanted me to find a home in a good city and neighborhood that would hold its value and easily resale in the long run. I knew she was trustworthy when she actually talked me out of one house due to its location. -One of the houses we looked at needed a lot of repairs. Bev did a LOT of work rounding up quotes from a lot of different contractors and took time to review each one with me. Ultimately we agreed to not purchase the home, which means she did all that work for no commission. If I had done all that work for no pay, I would have been frustrated, but Bev was unfazed. Still just as friendly and diligent as ever. -She always returned my emails/calls promptly and explained everything in simple, clear terms. That may sound like a little detail, but nothing is more aggravating than poor communication. When closing time came around, and I was dealing with the lender, this was especially valuable. I'm sure I could go on if I thought about it some more. Ultimately, I found a home I'm very happy with. If you're shopping/selling for a home in the North Dallas area and want a diligent, knowledgeable, genuine person to guide you through the housing landscape, I highly recommend her.
